Omega USB Temp

Hi guys,.

So I just learned last week labview its really fun, now the question.

-J' use a Module USB-OM.-TEMp to take certain measures of the temperature. Omega has provided with some of Sub VI so that I don't have a code as well

-Write in Excel but has been giving me some trouble, I get an error a message "you have connected two terminals of two different types of termial" I tried to use the Bundle option nothing. I have attached my program below if anyone can help

Thank you

-Chris

Chris,

I do not have the ULx screw, I can't be sure what's in those.

Many devices are not different tasks for the same type of measurement on a single device. You may need to combine the two temperature measurement in a single task to two channels. Something like Dev0 / Ti0:1.

I don't see any attempt to save to file. Create a data table and use scripture to the File.vi worksheet. This will create a tabs-delimited text file that can be read by Excel and many other programs and is very easy to use.

I don't see anythihg that defines the timetable of the loop. It seems that you use avoiding for the acquisition of data and have no waiting inside the loop. Elapsed time Time.vi measure time but does not have a delay.

  • Acquisition of temperature on USB-Temp

    Hello

I use a measurement computing USB-Temp in order to acquire the temperature with several sensors. I made the attached program for both sensors. The problem is: I must add I have a waveform for each sensor. Thus, the program will become quickly unreadable if I want seven or eight sensors.

You know a way to fix? Perhaps with arrays...

    Sorry for the bad English

Yes - instead of having a single waveform on your shift register, change this in a table of waveforms. You can then have your acquisition of data in a loop For the number of sensors you have.

Here's a very simple example of how you can change your program:

In addition, you should know because you generate a waveform, permanently if you run your program for a long time you will eventually run out of memory. You might want to consider looking at the architecture of producer/consumer so that your registration occurs while the data are acquired, instead of just at the end (it also means that you have given if your computer breaks down ).

  • Cannot access windows temp file .pdf Creator to function or install USB printer

    Nice day

I was pulling my hair out on this one, please help!

This is a new PC installed with windows 7 basic

I haven't installed a physical printer via USB, no problem, then tried to install a PDF Creator to send statements of a rental program. Installation and opening the .pdf Creator program, I get an error that it doesn't have permission to open the temp folder. I then also tried to install a second printer via USB but constantly receive the message not recognized USB device! and the printer cannot be found or installed. The PDF Creator should create a printer under printers but it hasent. I was convinced after having scoured the forums that the two issues were related and had to do with - user account control settings - unfortunately after countless did stop it no chance neither will work.

    I tried the following

    • restarted the countless number of times disconnecting the pc
    • Turned UAC works with restarts in the meantime and attempt to install creator .pdf and the second usb printer install with this setting turned on and off with no luck.
    • checked the registry entry for the UAC sure he was totally disabled
    • verified that the second USB Samsung printer is 100% compatible with windows 7
    • downloaded the latest installation of creator .pdf files
    • cancelled all windows 7 updates with a system restore
    • uninstall all USB drivers who then reinstalled on reboot.
    • Tried to manually add the Samsung printer using Add Printer

I am now at a loss and am convinced that the two problems are related. Any help would be appreciated

    Thank you

    Molon

    Hi molon,.

    ·        What is the model number of the printer?

    ·        Did you follow the guidelines in accordance with the installation guide supplied with the printer?

    To refine the question

Try to use the USB port to which the first HP printer was connected to the Samsung printer.

To check if it's a bad USB cable unplug the USB cable from the printer HP to work and plug this USB cable into one of the other printers to determine if it will recognize and install.

I bought a new computer and everything worked fine until I tried to install the printer. I get this error message, and I can't move, so I can't use the printer

This is a screenshot of the Setup error:

  • sensor pressure and USB-6210

I am installing a USB-6210 to read pressure sensors (specifically: http://www.omega.com/pptst/PX309-100mv.html), with labview2013.

Its one task relatively simple and should not be this hard...

I used a similar system to take similar measures in the past, but its been awhile.

I don't know if it's just a wiring problem or incorrect installation of labview (program), but I can't measure the tensions that are remotely close to the sheet of calibration of the probe.

    Thoughts?

It turns out that my diet was not come out correctly. Passed to a diet different and everything works as it should.

  • How to make a USB-TC01 temperature data a global variable?

Hi all!  I have a simple question (probably).  I bought the box USB-TC01 and with the software came a VI called LabVIEWTempLogger.  This VI reads a thermocouple voltage and internal conversions using DAQmx and a CYC edge to give a reading of simple temperature.  My problem is that I want to use this temperature in an another VI, then I want to make a global variable of temperature of LabVIEWTempLogger.  How to set a global variable such as temperature of LabVIEWTempLogger?  Thank you!

You must get out of the recorder temperature VI the DAQ Assistant. Put it in a Subvi if you wish.

Your main VI has some problems. The first fact a comparison is equal to the current temperature. Never make an equal comparison on a floating point number. Use in the range and force.

The local 'Set Temp deg C' should be replaced by a wire from the Terminal. All local variables should be replaced by a wire. You can easily have the cable terminals from outside the main loop.

Can't the difference in code in the States True and False when you read voltage.

Don't use VISA bytes to the Serial Port. It's just bad style. You programmed it for a terminal character LF to get rid of fixed forward and set the number of bytes to read at a high number. Playback will wait until the stop character is detected and then automatically end.

Finally, you have already created a world so I do not understand your questions about it.

  • Help configuration USB-6009 for experience

    Hello

I am a new user of LabVIEW. I bought a USB-6009, and I need to acquire data from a pair of electrodes and a differential pressure sensor. Here is a schematic representation of the how, I think that everything has to be hung. I just have a few questions on Setup before I run my experience.

I'll use the electrodes to measure the voltage drop. However, I wonder if I need a reference to Earth connected to substantive GND PIN. This is because I will operate the electrodes in the range of +/-20 V and according to the user's guide, each pin has a maximum voltage of +/-10 V with respect to the GND. I guess that means that the + ve electrode measures + 15 V wrt to GND and the electrode measures - ve - 5 V wrt to GND, data acquisition will give a reading of 15 V instead of 20 V. So if I need a reference to the ground, what can I connect to pin down GND?

During this experience, I also will collect data of an Omega-PX26-030DV differential pressure sensor, which has a maximum output voltage of 100mV. It will be powered by a specialist Circuit CSI3005T power supply to 10 VDC. I think I made the right connections, but what I also connect the Terminal GND 4 on data acquisition on the GND power supply?

  • Pavilion 15-p101nr: 15-p101nr usb host driver

    Hello.

I deleted hp-version of Windows 8 and installed clear Windows 8.1. I also installed all the drivers for my laptop on your site, but when I tried to plug my card its USB, a PROBLEM that has happened: it reboots once per second. I know this problem, and I guess that's wrong USB host controller drivers. Unfortunately, I couldn't find this driver anywhere in your Web site. Please, help me.

    Best wishes, gaze and others.

Hello. Thank you for your response.

Unfortunately, you did not help me. I have macbook - like keyboard and touch pad instead of support apple-like clumsy "OEM ONLY CUZ YOU ARE STUPID".

I found solution myself. To resolve this problem, you will need to download the drivers from the site Web of AMD:

    http://support.AMD.com/en-us/download/desktop?OS=Windows+8.1+-+64#

Then, you will need to unzip and install. Not yet the end.

Open windows, the Device Manager. Search for Universal Serial Bus Controllers > Standard Enhanced PCI to USB Host Controller. Right-click on > Properties > driver > Update Driver. There you have to Browse my computer for driver software > let me pick from a list of devices on my computer > Have Disk > Browse. Now, we go to this folder:

    %folder_of_unpackadge%\AMD-catalyst-Omega-14.12-SB-SATA-AHCI-WIN8.1-Win7\Packages\Drivers\SBDrv\hseries\UsbFilter\W764A

Windows will now detect AMD USB Filter Driver and warn us that this driver may be incompatible with our device. We have to accept and... It fits perfectly. Repeat for other Standard Enhanced PCI to USB Host Controller, and we now have 2 AMD USB Filter Driver instead of them. Now everything works in stone.

Good job, HP, AMD and Microsoft.

  • I can't Omega PX4200 pressure transducers where I can get a reading of Labview

    Hello

I am a new user of LabVIEW, and I currently try to wire in a 4-20mA Omega PX4200 pressure sensor in an NI USB-6009 Data Acquisition device. I have sources of power like a P SOLA SDN 5-24-100, and I use a 3-wire system. I have the black wire going to SOLA a +, the ground wire to the GND on the NI USB-6009 case and the white wire going to the AI0. Currently, I am unable to generate a significant signal either in solution of measurement and Automation Explorer or LABVIEW Signal Express 2010.

If anyone has an idea on what I'm doing wrong, just reply to this topic.

    Thank you

    Dev

The USB-6009 measure the voltage.  The pressure transducer is a current signal.  You must add a kind of conditioning of signals.  At a minimum, you must use a resistor to the terminals so that you can convert the signal 4-20 mA, the transducer is a tension.  To convert a signal of 20 MA in 10V, you would need a 500 Ohm resistor.

  • Photosmart D110: D110 fails to install on Windows 7 - not found USB harware

    Hi all

I'll put up a new Dell Inspiron 5000 running Windows 7 SP1 and wanted to add a photosmart D110.

I downloaded the full software package of HP, but after the installation starts, I get a message that I have not available a USB device on my computer. It's probably a detection problem since I was on two of the three USB ports without problems.

Now, the printer should be used on the network, so the fact that the Setup program does not detect a USB device should not interfere with the installation.

I'm stuck and would like to know what are my options, if any. Is there a way to force the installer to not seek the USB hardware, or to ignore the error if it is not found?

    Any help is appreciated!

    Thank you

    Hello

Open the start menu and type folder in the search bar, open it showed "Temp folder.

Open the last HP installation folder that begins with 7z (for example 7zs1234)

    Open the installation folder.

You can search usbready.exe and rename the file in usbready.old.exe.

Return to the main installation folder (for example 7zs1234) and double-click Setup.exe, now follow the installation and check for the difference.

  • 5520 unable to recognize the usb connection

I have a new 5520 Photosmart from HP that I tried to install a printer USB (Win XP, Service Pack 3). When installing, I get a screen where it tells me to turn on the printer and connect the USB cable. To do this, I find myself with the same screen with the options 'Back' or 'Skip '.

The scanner is recognized as a device from the computer, but will not scan.

The printer will print despite getting a message saying "Cannot communicate with printer" window

I reinstalled several times. A solution would be welcome!

    Hello garedd,

Welcome to the HP Forums! I understand your concerns with your Photosmart 5520. Try these troubleshooting steps to try to solve your problem:

Please uninstall the software to printers on your computer. I'll give you a document from HP on Uninstall from Add / Remove programs. (Unplug the USB cable from the computer at this point.)

Then clean your Temp folder on your computer:

    1) click on the Start Menu

    (2) open your box run

    (3) type folder

    4) press Ctrl and a set, which will highlight everything in this file

    (5) make a right click on your mouse, then click on remove

Now, install the full features on the site of HP software here. (Do not connect the USB cable into your computer until it prompts you to connect.)

If you are still having the same problem, please try another USB cable to see if that makes a difference.

Also, I'll give you additional information on USB Device troubleshooting.

Please send me your troubleshooting steps.

    Impatience on your part.

  • I want to choose the right USB DAQ device for my application

Let me share the .exe file, that I use for my application, i.e. the thermostat for QCD. It is available at the following URL:

    http://www.teamwavelength.com/support/software.php?page=datasheets&view=temperaturecontrollers

Temperature controller I use is PTC 10 K - CH got the NI USB 6351 data acquisition card. I tried the interface between the PC and PTC 10 K - CH, but could not get the desired results. (no monitoring/precise temperature control for the conduct of the LASER Source). It's a .exe file, I couldn't find how code works as well. So even if the program runs without error, I can't understand why it does not show the proper temperature values. Manual for the same Temp.Controller is available on the website of electronic wavelength.

I would like to know if NI USB 6351 is suitable for the PTC 10 K - CH? If so, what are the common mistakes, I need to make the same thing with LabVIEW interfacing while (because I'm a beginner)? Any help is appreciated.

    Hi DEV_DS,

It seems that you have just 2 channels of, 1 AO channel, and 1 line.  Glancing at the datasheet, I see no reason that the USB-6351 should not work with the PTC10K-CH.

Can you share with us a screenshot of the configuration tab data acquisition channels, a screenshot of your list of devices and Interfaces developed NI MAX, and a description of the physical wiring connections you have made in the material?

  • How to connect Labview to a USB sensor without existing driver?

    Hello

I'm currently trying to a pressure transducer Omega PX409 USBH will display a reading in Labview. The transducer is USB connected, and the software that provides the Omega shows a reading and therefore indicates that the sensor is connected to the computer. However, it is not recognized by Labview or NI MAX. Although the pilot NI VISA Wizard recognizes the USB connection, it I cannot install the INF files that it generates on my computer. I'm pretty stuck on how to proceed in order to write a driver that displays the data in Labview. Any help would be appreciated!

Yes, I have updated the drivers FTDI and am able to contact my device via Hyperterminal. How can I integrate Labview into that?

Well, you have your hardware tested and working, half the battle is won.

Series communications are quite simple in LabVIEW using VISA.

Here is a small example of how to write and read from a serial device.
