• How to read file returned by the file picker

  I'm going to obviously stupid here, but for the life of me I can't figure out how read in a text file returned by the file picker.  I am currently getting the good full path of the file in the file picker but where do I go from here?  BlackBerry.IO.file does not seem to exist in Blackberry 10 and I'm confused as to how I would use the HTML5 File API from only a file returned by the file picker path.

  Can someone please spit out a quick and dirty example showing me the rudiments of reading in the data file from a path returned by the file picker, please?

  Don't know if you have the path to the file, and then you left there. One thing to note. The file MUST be inside you bar (sandbox) OR you need to add the <> ermit > access_sharedermit >
  and then he can live the file in the shared folder on the device.

  When I try to choose a file to my device A DevAlpha containing an apostrophe in the file name, for example: "Gettin ' on you (Featuring Fergie & LMFAO) .mp3" file selector return syntax error: at least one digit must occur after a comma.

  Nice work, you have found an error in our implementation of the file picker. I have confirmed that this is a problem with what we do. Apparently our encoder does not properly handle single quotes. I will file an issue on our end and let you know how it goes.

• Cannot use the file picker

  Whenever I try to use a file picker in any Store app on my laptop, the application crashes. I don't know what could be the cause.

  I'm not sure what it was, but after having downloaded manually about 50 updates to Microsoft.com and then restart, the file selector now works (I had problems with Windows Update as well, and that works too).

  Very strange, but at least it is fixed.

  I'm trying to simulate Modem HART AD5700 on Multisim with PIC16F877A. I want to send serial data to AD5700 using UART interface and then see the corresponding analog output signal varying in frequency (based on the binary data that is sent to AD5700) on HART_Output. Unfortunately, after a search too, I could not find Multisim for IC AD5700 library file.

  Can someone tell me how to simulate AD5700 on Multisim? or any other to get out of this problem?

  I don't know what version of Multisim you have, but I tried to check on the different versions and was able to confirm that the model you need is not in the Master database. You can see this link:

• Bug with file picker? Keyboard unauthorized access?

  My main screen listen to escape and enter keys. The main screen has a button that launches a FilePicker (via an anonymous executable instance).  When the FilePicker is launched, I get a keyboard listener exception not allowed.

  This only happens to some of my clients.  On a Storm 2, and as well as on a 8530. No one else has complained to this topic, and I can't she reproduces on any Simulator.

  If enveloping in an invokeAndWait later to solve the problem? is this a known bug? is there a work around?

  It looks like a problem with the operating system.  He had problems with FilePicker in 5.0.  If you are looking to create your own, take a look at this example:

• How to make part of the Simulator File Explorer?

  Hi all

  I followed this example http://supportforums.blackberry.com/rim/board/message?board.id=java_dev&message.id=5295&query.id=354... to add a file from my application Explorer menu item.

  My problem is that there is no file Explorer I can say on my Simulator so I can't really test to see whether or not my menu item was added successfully. I tried to compiled and download the FileExplorerDemo, but this application has no menu item that my program has added.

  Do you know if I do something wrong here?

  File Explorer is already there. Some sort of hidden ;-)

  Just open the media icon in the home screen and then use the menu

  button and choose "explore". This is the bb device file Explorer.

• File picker for Business Catalyst WebApp server-side

  When we write our own WebApps in Business Catalyst, how can we present a file selection dialog box so that the user can select a file that exists on the server and possibly download a file on the server of this same dialog box?

  Catalyst for business have their own implementation of the present in the admin WebApp UI and I wonder if we can hang on it. I guess it will be a question to include a JS file (or several files) and then a jQuery works to hang it.

  Can I use the file in British Colombia picker?

  If this is not the case, how could I go about this as I guess I would need to provide some sort of connector ASP to do the work of collecting lists of files/folders which I guess would be not possible to do.

  Is it possible to invoke a file selector that returns the path for the file to my application?

  I noticed that the Facebook app opens a pop-up when you are choosing which image to download.

  There is no API for this.  You need to implement yourself.  You can add menu items to the request of the media, but it would not create the same interactions that you describe.

  Unfortunately it doesn't seem to be something similar to this extension in space Tablet currently. Seems that you need your own custom control (WebWorks APIs leverage) or extension (to dig down in the AIR or AIR > native) for this right now.

• Restrict the qml file picker for formatting

  Here is the code I try:

  This code below works, but should be a specified exact directory (such as various, documents, etc.), you can't store files directly in the common dir.

  The problem here is that I am able to deploy the project. While test, it does not validate the sal.i.e (if > 15000 sal and sal < 15000 is validated).

  Can someone tell me what that error is doing here and a solution to complete this requirement with success?

  You are right, as soon as the officer first finds a file, it will begin to collect in the next event and will always watch where it stopped and will catch up if anything interrupts collection.

• Programming file record in the Simulator.

  I saved the file in file:///store/user/documents programmatically and I can navigate and see by the Simulator File Explorer. Question:

  Where is the physical location of this file on my PC and how can I find it and open the other program. In example XMLDEMO of JDE 4.7.0 the file that is being read is sitting in the local directory C:\Program Research In Motion\BlackBerry JDE 4.7.0\samples\com\rim\samples\device\xmldemo\xml. I need to do the same. I need to save the file in the directory where my application is sitting.

  The file that you created will be to the .dmp format in folder Simulator. You can use PC as a microsd card storage to test the object.

  The xml demo app that you talked, you must place the file before using it. You cannot create a file inside the application.
