• LR CC works fine on my laptop but hangs when I connect a new external monitor

  LR CC big short on my laptop with or without the option enable the GPU.

  Last week, I bought an ASUS 24 "PA248Q monitor.  When I connect the external monitor and get all the settings to extend the screen everything works fine EXCEPT Lightroom.  When I run LR, I see the splash screen and the screen on the new monitor then turn a solid color (it seems that any color except the classic blue screen of death).  At this point, my laptop is completely locked.  No pointer, Ctrl-alt-delete.  I have to power down.

  In the investigation of this issue, since took me to update to the latest Nvidia driver, is ensure that the driver has been installed and uninstalled and reinstalled LR CC.  I calibrate using screen ColorMunki and tried with and without the calibration of loading software on startup.  When I unplug the external monitor and restart, LR works normally on the laptop.  It just craps out when the external monitor is connected.  PS CC works fine on my new monitor.

  Help, please.  I'm out of ideas.  I have a ticket open to ASUS, but so far their dose was to reset the screen and it does not solve the problem of crash.

  Yes, I would say that your passwords have disappeared. When synchronization key is "updated" as indicated in this part of the synchronization log that I cropped, the server is deleted user data because that data doesn't help.   Hello, I hope someone can help me. I just changed internet providers and my router does not work with the new modem they proived. I had been with ATT and has configured the modem/router ATT to act as a pass through my WRT54GL. Now, when I connect my new modem (which is also a wireless router) to the WRT54GL, I get no connection on the Linksys. However, if I plug in my modem att, resume service (I've not turned my old Internet again until I get this resolved). I tell myself that some setting prevents the WRT54GL to connect but not sure how to determine who it is: I'm not very well informed in this area and only followed a guide online when I configured the router to worek with ATT modem. I'm hoping to avoid resetting the WRT54GL to the deault factory because my old model Roku connects and I cannot change the network, it connects to due to losing the physical remote control. If anyone has any suggestions or can help me trouble shoot, I would really appreciate it!

  You can disable the Wi - Fi modem to avoid any conflict on your Linksys router. And for the WRT54GL work with the new modem, you must reconfigure. The router might still be trying to remember the previous modem settings.

  Try these steps:

  * Connect the computer directly to the modem and check the IP address (Windows) (MAC OSX )

  Note the IP address

  * Now, unplug the modem from the computer

  * Connect the computer to the Ethernet/LAN router (leave the disconnected modem) ports

  * Determine the IP address of the computer, get the router. Then, compare it to the IP address, you have the modem

  * If you get the modem 192.168.1.x and is also the router 192.168.1.x, which means that there is a conflict of IP address

  Quite true for some ISPS like Insight.  Before Comcast took over in the box of my son, he had to go through a documented process of insight to connect any other device (router) Insight to the cable modem.  My experience with RoadRunner TimeWarner/Brighthouse when you connect a new router to their cable modems has been that they will assign a new IP address to the new router and will retain the previous pair of IP/MAC address of my router for 30 days before the purge of their DHCP database.  It is very convenient when I setup the router for my friends and then reconnect my router to the network and get my original IP address assigned.  Once I finished the configuration of the router from my friend and connected to its network access, I contact Brighthouse to let them know that they can release the IP address assigned to the router of my friend.  Not all ISPS is more conciliatory than TimeWarner/Brighthouse in this area.

  I also take advantage of this "ability" to Brighthouse when I test backup WRT54G at my new WiFi E3000 router on a periodic basis.

  In short, always contact your ISP to see what procedures must be followed when you want to connect another router to the modem.

  I think the next thing to test would that interfere with Add-ons. Disables the Firefox Add-on - Add-ons that only list compatibility with Firefox 5, but some add-ons could cause problems.

  To test, the simplest method is to restart Firefox Safe mode.

  Amber flashing light is not an indication of a problem.  Light flashing just means DO NOT DISCONNECT - eject the iPod before disconnecting.  It has nothing to do with the load or the condition of the battery.  If you eject the shuffle in iTunes but leave plugged in, the led becomes solid (not flashing).  Full light means OK TO DISCONNECT.  With the light, the color has meaning.  AMBER means battery recharges.  GREEN means the battery is fully charged.
