On the Configuration of the associated plug

Hello

I tried to set up the technical section on the packaging of the material specification.

I added a config in CustomSettings.xml:

< AssociatedSpecsConfiguration configChildKey 'key' = >

< add key = value '1009' = "' SearchableView:Config:ProdikaSettings / GSMSpecViews, CompleteAssociatedSpecView" / > "

< / AssociatedSpecsConfiguration >

I used the default technical view, CompleteAssociatedSpecView, in GSMSpec.xml.

After I restarted iis and tried to associate one no matter what kind of spec, received the error: "it doesn't seem to be any kind of valid association for this type of specification."

Is there a mistake in my config, or have I missed something?

Thank you.

Hello

Please check admintoolkit if a pkg - pkg associated relationship has been defined by admin toolkit

You can check if the data exists in:

SELECT Hostname, status, JOIN gsmAssociationType gsmAssociationTypeML fkAssociationType WE gsmAssociationTypeML.fkAssociationType = gsmAssociationType.pkid WHERE langID = 0 AND TypeId = '1009' UNION SELECT Hostname, status, JOIN gsmAssociationType gsmAssociationTypeML fkAssociationType WE gsmAssociationTypeML.fkAssociationType = gsmAssociationType.pkid WHERE langID = 0 and fkAssociationType NOT IN (SELECT fkAssociationType gsmAssociationTypeML JOIN gsmAssociationType ON gsmAssociationTypeML.fkAssociationType = gsmAssociationType.pkid WHERE langid = 0) TypeId AND = '1009' ORDER BY host name

If it is empty, please use admin toolkit to build a relationship first, then you should be able to select the associated specifications.

Thank you

Jessie

When I Shutdown Windows XP - SP3 (w/latest updates) it freezes just until I pull the power plug. I had this problem for some time. Before even the latest updates. This could be the cause of this problem?

It happened after doing many different things, so I don't think that a particular program might be causing the problem.

I reinstalled Windows at least twice this year so far and I'm not interested in doing it again.

I imagine stopping by pulling out the plug could cause problems for Windows in the future.

    TKOP,

Your problem may be hardware related or associated software. I have seen this with Mcafee installed on workstations and eventually found that memory has caused the problem.
The simplest and the least expensive would be to replace the memory modules and uninstall Mcafee. (you can google must uninstall mcafee to obtain an uninstall program) If this does not help, check the operation of the fans on the unit. If they don't keep the processor cool laptop, they must be replaced. You may be able to check the time of fan in the bios.
You can also check the Windows event log to see if there is any information to software problems.
Worst cases would be the power supply or the motherboard are the cause of the problem, you could get a diagnostic software from the manufacturer of your computer to check maybe it.

Or run it to test your memory on your computer.

  • Concept of the association and authentication?

Hello, hope someone can enlighten me on that.  We have a WLC 5508 with some WAP (1131 and 1242).  Our wireless clients using Basic authentication against our AD certificate (i.e. the computer cert and cert user are required).  However, from time to time I see customers being linked but not authenticated as reported by the WLC.  Would it be possible, as indicated by some literature that a customer can be "associated with" after it is successfully authenticated?  Maybe I'm not quite clear on the concept.  Thanks in advance.

    Eric

    Hi Eric,.

    Clear as mud isn't

I like to think of it that way, in the library on our campus

There are hundreds of students more use laptop computers. If we look at the AP

in this area, we could see 120 Associations for example, but we can only see 65

Authentications. In this case are associated with laptops 55 users but not gone

    through the authentication process.

    Here is the explanation of Cisco;

    The Wireless Client Association

In the process of customer binding, access points send tags announcing one or more SSID, flow of data and other information. The client sends a probe and scans all channels and listening responses to probes from the access roads and tags. The customer joins AP that has the strongest signal. If the signal becomes weak, the client repeats the scan to associate with another access point (this process is called roaming). During the association, the SSID, MAC address, and security settings are sent from the client to the access point and verified by the access point. Figure 3-6 illustrates the process of customer liaison.

Figure 3-6 Association of the customer

Association of the wireless to a selected access point client actually is the second step in a two-step process. First of all, authentication, then association must occur before a 802.11 client can pass traffic through the access point to another host on the network. The authentication of the client in this initial process is not the same as the network authentication (enter username and password for access to the network). The client authentication is simply the first step (followed by association) between the wireless client and the access point, and it establishes communication. The 802.11 standard specifies that two different authentication methods: open authentication and shared key authentication. Open authentication is simply the exchange of four packages of type "hello" without verification of client or access, to allow ease of connectivity. Shared key authentication uses a key defined static WEP, known between the client and access point, for verification. This same key might or might not be used to encrypt the data passing between a wireless client and an access point according to the configuration of the user.

  • Customer wishes to put priority on the association of the APs

    Hi people, greetings.

We have a customer who has APs more than his WLC can support. He wants to know if there is a priority way of setting on APs association for the wlc.

IE if AP1 is associated and AP2 is on, he wants the WLC dissociate AP1 and let the associated AP2.

I told him that it was impossible, am I correct or there is such a feature, I'm not aware of?

    Thanks in advance,

    AL

Yes, you can set the priority of joining AP in 5.1.

  • I'm unable to change default file associations. The association always returns to what it was.

I am running Windows 7 64 bit.  I can't change the file associations default for .exe and .ini files (I have not tried the other file extensions).  I tried to make the change by choosing "open with", select the desired program and checking the 'always use the selected program to open this type of file.  I also tried with the option "Default Programs/Set Associations" in the control panel.  No matter what I do, the association returns to what it was before (the Notepad in the case of .txt and .ini files)
    Any suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks for your suggestion.  I tried Microsoft FixIt, but that did not help.  Then I remembered that I had installed and uninstalled a trial version of UltraEdit v. 18 on my computer.  This program partners with a variety of file types.  I reinstalled the trial version, making sure that it has been configured to not to associate any type of file and then uninstalled again.  Now everything works fine.

I use my MacBook Air as a desktop computer. Should I leave the charger plugged all the time or should I drain the battery and then recharge? What is the best for the battery?

Keep the computer plugged in whenever possible.

If you keep the computer always connected, make sure that at least twice a month

Run it on battery until battery charge level falls to about 40-50%.

Please don't completely discharge the battery. Discharge the battery completely will reduce wear and tear on the battery.

"The question is often asked:" should I disconnect my laptop from the mains when not in service? Under normal circumstances it should not be necessary because as soon as the lithium-ion battery is full, a properly functioning charger will stop the load and load the pad will only engage when the battery voltage drops to a low level. Most of the users do not remove AC power, and this practice is safe. »

    Hello Paul,

How good are you with the 'concept' USB?

If I understand correctly, then the problem is not located in CVI itself, but more related to access to USB devices in general.

A guide very useful tool that I myself used also (in a personal atmosphere) is the following:

Run the checker (sfc) system files on the computer.

SFC tool scans system files and replaces incorrect versions of system files by using the correct versions.

To run the System File Checker tool, follow these steps:

    a. open an administrator command prompt. To do this, click Start, click principally made programs, Accessories, right-click Guest, and then click run as administrator.

If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
