on the full-text index

Hi Experts,

My client 2 issues that I am not clear about the answer, could you give me a tip?

This client uses ECM11.1.1.1.5 with text oracle as full text index engine, the questions are:
1. is it possible to build indexes full text at a later rather than building when the consignment of a doc? for example, the user checkin a doc in ecm, at that time, ecm does not full text index, in the night, we use the api / script to build the full text for new documents created.
2. it takes 15 s consignment to a word file of 50 m in ecm, with or without construction of full text index, we use MaxIndexableFileSize in config.cfg to the control's text index full is built for the 50 M word file, the client wonder with a bandwidth of 200 K between the server of the University Complutense of Madrid and ucm db why there is no latency performance for the construction of the full text, by a common index, ucm will send the text in doc ucm DB file to generate full text indexes, in this file of Word of 50 m, we appear 9 of 10 text pages, admittedly, most of the content is repeatable.

Best regards

LAN

A story behind this request is the customer has a slow network between the server of the University Complutense of Madrid and db of the Complutense University of Madrid, it is 200Kbit/s, customer wants to improve the speed of creation of doc, so asked me to do a test of performance for the delayed construction of fulltext index.

If you know what the problem is, it would be more logical to put the efforts to solve the cause, rather than a clumsy workaround solution.

Your other questions, read the Metalink Note 865713.1 as he explains how database. FULL-text indexing jobs. "Offshoring" indexing to ITS could solve the problem, but I just don't believe it is - also note that even if you find a workaround for "creation of doc" solution, you will have to deal with the problem, every time that you press on the database, so sooner or later it will appear somewhere else.

  • synchronize the full-text index

    Hi experts,

    My client is using ECM11G, they need to synchronize the full-text index, I checked the ECM on the table, the following tables looks like for the full-text index:

    DR.$ FT_IDCTEXT1$ I
    DR.$ FT_IDCTEXT1$ K
    DR.$ FT_IDCTEXT1$ N
    DR.$ FT_IDCTEXT1$ R
    DR.$ FT_IDCTEXT1$ S

    DR.$ FT_IDCTEXT2$ I
    DR.$ FT_IDCTEXT2$ K
    DR.$ FT_IDCTEXT2$ N
    DR.$ FT_IDCTEXT2$ R
    DR.$ FT_IDCTEXT2$ S

    It is these paintings genenrated dynamically by ECM? There will be some tables named DR$ FT_IDCTEXT2$ XXX after some time later?

    Best regards

    Read one of the notes 865713.1 or 871388.1 in MetaLink. It contains a description of how the indexer works as well as indexes, tables are involved in the process.

  • Text of Oracle installed but cannot find anything through the full-text index

    Hello

    I have an Oracle 10 G (10.2.0.4) 64-bit on a Windows 2003r2 64 bit (sp2) database. I also installed the Oracle text:

    Oracle Text
    VALID 10.2.0.4.0

    Then, I created some preferences and created the index of full text:
    create index afindex on docs (document) indextype is ctxsys.context parameters ('storage gdoc_store SYNC (ON COMMIT)');

    so with the syn on validation, it should immediately be viewed in the index.

    I for example in 1 table 6 documents (word, pdf,...), the other has more documents then 64000 and 3rd over 425000.

    In any of the 3 above, research on text gives result after the index is created. Not in the developer program and in sqlplus.

    Search sql, for example:

    Select the id from docs where contains (doc, 'hello') > 0;

    under the c:\windows\temp, I see on 380files with drgibXXXXX, so it does not index them?

    What could be the problem?

    Note that I have a lot of other databases, where I also use Oracle text and there is no problem, only difference is the 32 <>- 64-bit.

    error in ctx_index_error is:

    DRG-11207: User filter command came out with the State 1

    You have several Oracle_Homes on this server and this is a RAC cluster?

  • Unable to full-text index content in Oracle 11 g UCM

    Hello

    I am new to Oracle 11g UCM.

    I can't make it to the full-text index, the content files that are archiving in the Oracle UCM.

    I added entries in the config.cfg file below:

    SearchIndexerEngineName = OracleTextSearch
    IndexerDatabaseProviderName = SystemDatabase
    AdditionalEscapeChars =. #

    While performing the indexing Repository Manager only operation, the metadata of the content files are indexed, but text is not get indexed.

    What missing here in Oracle UCM for fulltext indexing not content? Should what configurations I do for that I can search to search in full text on the Oracle UCM content?

    Thanks in advance

  • disabling full-text indexing

    There is a point mentioned in the Administrator's guide on disabling indexing for certain types of files.

    3.4.2.5 disable full-text indexing

    You can disable full-text indexing if, for example, you want to keep the file space or if you don't need full text searching for specific content types. Even if you turn off full text indexing, metadata are always indexed

    To disable indexing of full-text on specific files

    - Define a named application Configuration Manager screen format / noindex

    -Recording format Allow Override enable on

    -When a user archive a file that they won't be indexed, they must select the application / noindex format. This applies to the standard files, batch loads and archived versions.

    It is possible to select / format of file during check-in. talk I find not all metadata for the same thing. Should it be added explicitly?

    Content of coz what we define type and file what we defined the format are different things. Or do I have to map these two? If Yes, where? (I can't find any option to establish the relationship b/w these)

    Hello

    When the above steps are done, restart the server. After that check in the screen, you would see the following option:

    Format

    There is a drop down list which list to which you can select application/noindex, so that the content item is not sent for indexing of FT. It is only indexed metadata.

    The list appears only when the following option is checked - Admin Server - Administration General Configuration

    Select allow the replacement of format on check-in

    I hope this helps.

    Thank you

    Srinath

  • Full text index?

    Hi all

    I created a table on a diskstore with

    create table mytable (id int not no way tank (100), description varchar (400)) persistent "store1" asynchronous

    I don't think that doing an index on the description is 'the' solution to have something like a SQL Server full-text index. Anyway, the creation of this index over 2.000.000 lines takes a long time and will not work (means: Java heap space)

    I'm working on Fedora 15, kernel 2.6.38.6 - 26.rc1.fc15.x86_64, 6 GB ram

    Any suggestions?

    Thank you very much

    I suppose you load approximately 500 MB ((4 + 100 + 200) * 2 000 000) of raw data. For the description (varchar column (400)) I'm assuming that only 200 characters are entered on the capacity max 400 and no unicode characters to it.

    What is the maximum memory allocated by JVM?

    SQLFire how many instances you have started?

    To increase the allocated jvm default memory at the start of the sqlfire server instance use-J to pass jvm arguments:

    example: start the server sqlf -J-Xms1024m-J-Xmx2048m -dir =. / server1

    You can attach the sqlfire.log file? It will help determine the exact reason.

  • Unable to see the full text of SQL in the sessions of the monitor

    Hi guys,.

    I use SQL Developer 3.2 and when I followed sessions.

    I'm unable to see the full text of sql. Can someone guide me what setting do I do to see the full text of sql.

    Thank you

    Deepak

    you do not see the full text of design, this data dictionary that col stores only the first 1000 characters of the query

    You can Customize this report to get the full text if you wish... just read the column full_text instead, which is a CLOB

    in fact, this is the story in v3.2 - If you upgrade to version 4.0, we wonder SQL_FULLTEXT, and also make it more enjoyable to read code, throwing in a code editor

  • How to add the default value for the "Full - Text Search" box

    Hi all

    I am looking for the ability to add a default value for the "Full text search" box in the search form.

    Example:

    When the user accesses the search page it get default values for some fields (defined in the rule as default values) such as

    xField1 = txt1 and xFiel2 = txt2.

    and Furthermore we need full-text = Hello world.

    Is this possible?

    Another way that we use is to open the search by URL with coreContentOnly = 1 as a form:

    http:// < Server >/cs/idcplg? IdcService = GET_DOC_PAGE & to Action = GetTemplatePage & to Page = STANDARD_QUERY_PAGE & coreContentOnly = 1 & to xField1 = txt1 & to xFiel2 = txt2

    It is possible to add full-text criteria here? Somethig like: & text = Hello World

    Thank you

    Leon

    It is not possible in a very obvious way, not to mention that it is a rather strange request.  I can't really imagine a realistic use for this case.

    Anyway, without a messy customization, you should provide a default query with an FTX inside element text setting (i.e. "IdcService = GET_DOC_PAGE & Action = GetTemplatePage & Page = STANDARD_QUERY_PAGE & QueryText =Hello World" "")

    To do this in a profile in the secondary effects of the profile section, add the following:

    <$dpPromote("QueryText",>Hello everyone") $>.

    myDoc var = app.activeDocument;

    var myPageItems = myDoc.allPageItems;

    If (myPageItems [i] .label == "carpet details colors 1")

    {

    var fullText = myOverFlowFrame.contents + ";

    Alert (fullText);

    }

    You can get the full text using the content of the TextFrame ParentStory,

  • can I get the full text of sql from aud$ data table

    Hi gems... good afternoon...

    We try to understand the name of the tables and actions associated with their subject (select, insert, update, delete) what we will do with our application.
    So I enabled the audit parameter audit_trail = db, extended. After that I can get the records required of the dba_audit_trail_view by the following query:
    select d.entryid, d.timestamp, d.obj_name, d.action_name, d.sql_text
    from dba_audit_trail d
    where d.username='TEST_SCHEMA'
    and d.obj_name not like '%$%'
    and d.obj_name not in ('_CURRENT_EDITION_OBJ','ALL_OBJECTS','_ACTUAL_EDITION_OBJ','ALL_SYNONYMS','_ALL_SYNONYMS_TREE',
    '_ALL_SYNONYMS_FOR_AUTH_OBJECTS','_ALL_SYNONYMS_FOR_SYNONYMS','ALL_SYNONYMS','DBA_SYNONYMS','PLSQLDEV_AUTHORIZATION',
    'USER_OBJECTS','_ALL_SYNONYMS_FOR_AUTH_OBJECTS','DUAL','_BASE_USER','ALL_TAB_COLUMNS','ALL_COL_COMMENTS','ALL_TAB_COLS',
    'NLS_DATABASE_PARAMETERS','ALL_SOURCE','ALL_ERRORS')
    order by d.timestamp desc;
    I'm satisfactory output by that. But the problem is that some of the requests in hibernation is too large (maybe 10000 characters... "I'm not sure), these queries do not come completely. This is why I don't get some important information such as the WHERE the FROM clause condition, etc.
    There is no sql_id column in the table of $ aud.

    Is it possible to get the full text of sql... Please help...

    for this view sql_text column is different... try column sql_text a60000 and answer format which is the result

  • bug using dbms_redefinition on table with the altered text index?

    I think I can found a bug when you use DBMS_REDEFINITION on a table with a text index that has been modified using ALTER INDEX index-name REBUILD PARAMETERS (REPLACE...). It seems that DBMS_REDEFINITION does not recognize the syntax with REPLACE and redefining fails. However, if I remove the text index and re-create it with all the parameters set during the initial creation and no ALTER INDEX command, then redo the redefinition, it works correctly. I have provided below a script that reproduces the problem, then use workaround mentioned. I have provided a copy of the script and executing the script separately, so that it can be copied and pasted to reproduce the problem. It is a simplification of a problem which has emerged over the diagnosis of a larger problem presented by someone on another forum, where the objective was to perform a loop on a group of tables that meet certain criteria and change some columns varchar2, nvarchar2 columns of these tables, where there are indexes in full text on the other columns in the tables and indexes have been changed using the syntax above. This seems to be a bug or am I missing something or is at - it an easier solution for the redefinition?

    No real workaround DBMS_REDEFINITION uses function DBMS_METADATA. GET_DDL() and a string of invalid parameter is returned due to known bugs when you use the ALTER INDEX REBUILD with parameter REPLACE; try to avoid changing the index with REPLACE if you export or use DBMS_REDEFINITION for this table/index.

    Note to change the text index metadata, to change the existing class preference, you can use the REPLACE METADATA, IE

    ALTER INDEX i1 REBUILD PARAMETERS ("replace metadata sync (on commit)" ");

    Will not rebuild the index so that your DOF is to rebuild the index

    ALTER INDEX i1 REBUILD PARAMETERS ('REPLACE SYNC (ON COMMIT)")

  • How to retrieve the full text of messages in conversation of a customer service case # in my Adobe account

    Since I don't have a copy of the text of messages in conversation of a case of customer service # in my email, even if I had checked the box to send me the copy after the text conversation, I logged my Adobe account-> manage-> Products-> cases-case No. >. Unfortunately, I only had a very brief transcript for a number of cases. The entire conversation was not there! I need the text messages full conversation for a case specific no. with Adobe. Can I change to another email so that I could get the email of conversation copied text?

  • Tab to the TLF text index.

    Hello!!!

    I created classic text boxes and assign each of them a tab order using the syntax: "fNameInput.tabIndex = 0; fNameInput.tabIndex = 1; fNameInput.tabIndex = 2; "etc.

    Subsequently, I decided to turn them into boxes of TLF, but after I did it, the tab index feature stopped working.

    What is the problem in my code and what should I do in order to activate the index tab attribute?

    Thanks in advance!

    Atar.

    Try

    (input1.getChildAt(1) as InteractiveObject).tabIndex = 0;

  • In SQL Server 2008 full-text search engine

    I want to write queries by using the full text on the AdventureWorks2008 database search tool in SQL Server 2008.

    When I right click on the affected table the full text index option is grayed out.

    When I questioned sys.dm_fts_index_population to display tables with full-text indexes populated that it showed me that there is none and yet when I tried to create a single showed me an error message saying that there was already a full text index.
