• Themes AERO causes severe lag in web browsers.

  I use two web browsers (IE11 & Chrome) and when any AERO theme turned on these browsers starting to lag after a while (tabs opening/close in 2 frames, scrolling offset and available to any Web site becomes lag), I can fix it by minimizing and optimizing their, but very quickly it becomes boring because it could happen several times in a few minutes or more.

  If I change to Windows Classic theme - it does none of this.

  What could be the cause of this?

  Conf: i7 2.4 Ghz 3630QM, 8 GB of RAM, NVIDIA GT650M, Windows 7 Ultimate SP1.

  Open windows control panel, open personalization, click on the link to screensaver at the bottom right and in the next window, set the time in the area of 'Wait' for once you want before the screen saver appears, and click on apply.   Then open windows control panel again and click on Power Options, click Change plan settings next to your current power plan selected in the next window, set the time using the drop-down list next to "Turn wide Display" to a more acceptable level and then click on save changes.

  1. set the BIOS to the UTC clock

  2. install esx

  3. connect through the client vsphere, go to time config page and put in place NTP with pool.ntp.org, restart the service.

  bounce of the ESX box, re - connect and the time is perfectly synchronized with my local computer.

  Hi, I use Captivate 4.0.0 Build 1596 on WIn XP Pro SP2.  SWF files that I use are records of screen of BB Flashback Pro 2.6.3 build 1205 (http://www.bbsoftware.co.uk)

  SWF files are 1280 x 1024 and when I export them they have the following parameters:

  Maximum frame rate (14 FPS)

  SWF format

  Lossless compression

  No Audio

  Export images 0-420

  HERE'S THE PROBLEM:

  In Internet Explorer 7 the SWF files load very well and takes 30 seconds to play from the beginning to the end (420/14 = 30 seconds)

  When I load into Captivate 4.0.0 is now only 14.1 seconds of time and there are 422 frames?

  If I export it at 30 fps I get a file that matters in Captivate, which is 30 seconds in length, but is now 901 images?

  Because the way you have only 16000 images I am now limited to about 8.5 min for my SWF file.

  Why Captivate changes the playing time?

  I am very new to Captivate and this was the only real problem I've had so far.  If I could get this problem solved, then I'd be a very happy camper.  Thank you!

  I was recently advised by the development team of Captivate that the limit of 16 000 framework does not apply to things created using Captivate. Apparently it has something to do with the way they structure the content.

  So if it's not a problem the only thing remaining to fear with is the disparity of frame rate. If you create something that works at 14 frames per second, you must configure Captivate to run at 14 frames per second when you are using the same content, so there is no inconsistency. Or knock your creation at 30 FPS to match that of Captivate.
