Hello

The software of the problem is the task of Quicktime which is configured to load when you start your PC.  Try this.  Start > run > msconfig > Startup tab.  In there, uncheck the entrance of Quicktime and reboot.  The problem still persists?

    Hi IBE876,
    What a Pseudo ;-)
It looks like problems with the lcd screen.
to me it looks loke a defective cable and / or a bad inverter.
do not open the cover of the display until you know what you're doing and you have no guarantee on this machine more...
This inverter is a dangerous thing! It produces a high for the lighttube voltage.
If it is still warranty on this unit, better consult a servicepartner, there also the spareparts right...
If you want to do it by yourself... Keep in mind, it can be dangerous!
Make sure no powersource is connected to your system and battery is taken out.
Maybe it could be a loose cable...

    Hello

If you use Norton, AVG, Avira, Microsoft Security Essentials, McAfee, etc. the default action is for Windows Defender must be disabled, that these AntiVirus programs have their own Antispyware Applications.

    There is nothing to worry.

Using both programs at the same time can cause system conflicts, etc.

If you are using one of the above AntiVirus programs, this Information from David O - Support Engineer shows you how to manually enable Windows Defender (disregard information from uninstalling; not possible in Vista):

    http://answers.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/Forum/windows_vista-security/how-do-i-manually-start-Windows-Defender-in-Vista/dab845b2-9ba5-47F3-9518-c4c6781e7d5b

"Go to start, Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Services. Look for Windows Defender.

Right click and select Properties , ensure that Startup Type is automatic.

Once modified, click apply and OK.

Quit and restart your computer. Check the back take the same path to confirm that Windows Defender has started"

    .

If you want to have additional protection against malware using the version FREE of Malwarebytes AntiMalware:

And for now, change startup Vista programs without using Defender, use one of these methods:

  • Windows Defender turns itself off

Windows defender im says that is enabled by default, when I got my computer, it has been transformed, when I turn the Defender, after a random time I find her turned himself back

just to update you, the Defender has been disabled again, not sure when it happened, or how or why! so I think that the problem is always with AVG

Thanks for the comments. Yes, that's AVG 9. If you leave either Defender remain disabled or use something other than AVG 9. Just a note that Microsoft Security Essentals will also disable Defender.

  • Satellite A200 turn itself right after I turned on

I have a huge problem with my laptop.

After turning on when the windows status bar shows it shuts itself. I don't know what to do. I remember that I was installig Vista SP1 and 2 and after another, restart the related problem. Please could you help me?

    > But I checked the temperature with SpeedFan, and I realize why it blocking down. Base temperature. are above 90 (degrees celsius!) after windows starts (couse sometimes it lights, for example when it is not used for a few hours) without the stressful situations. It's just I don't know what is cousing the problem. How is the temperature going if high right after windows logs.

I think that the laptop automatically stops due to this high temperature
Maybe the fans and cooling rack would not be cleaned in the past and the dust and debris to prevent cooling modules work properly
The dust should be removed all first you can do it by using a jet of compressed air.
I did it several times and it worked for me.

The temperature of the CPU can be different and is dependent on the use of the laptop but 90 c is really high, and this may cause a stop down
