Once you are done with apps, how do you close them to return to your start screen?

When I'm done with an app find it me difficult to go back to my home screen. I'll be back by clicking on it in the corner of the screen and then to get the application to display in the corner. I then right click on it so it shows close and that's how I do it. Is there another way to do that is faster and easier to do?

Use the mouse.  Top of the screen > click to 'capture' > drag to the bottom of the screen > drop

    They are scattered in several files.  Many are in a specific folder.

    My problem is that I can't locate them. I want to just get rid of them to save space and future confusion.

    I recently started getting this strange message, usually when a Pages document is closed:

    All my research (apple.com and on the internet) have not enabled all the information on this message.

    The 'volume' is a hard disk, a partition on a hard drive or a storage as a USB device.

    OS X automatically saves your document frequent while you work on it. If the volume of the device / it records on a summer formatted to allow 'versioning', you will be able to use Time Machine to open previous versions of your document. If it has not been formatted like that, you get the message see you, and only the current version of the document will be saved.

  • After a Windows Update, that the several apps shortcut does not work, I went back to the start screen.

    Shortcuts to programs of work OK, but two shortcuts to applications of games and two apps printer briefly displays a title screen and then return to the start screen.  I tried to remove and then reload applications without success, I ran Paretologic Health program several times, tried to defrag the drive is done everything to nothing.  Troubleshooting Windows detects no error either.

    It worked for me in the past...

    Run the Windows update repair tool Control Panel / troubleshooting / view all (in the left margin)

    followed by the two of them, even if the first says no found error.  Maybe 15 minutes each.

    Form a command prompt (admin)

    DISM / Online/Cleanup-image /Scanhealth
    DISM / Online/Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

    To use iPhoto on El Capitan, update iPhoto version 9.6.1.

    The El Capitan upgrade removes just the iPhoto in the Dock icon. Have you looked into your Applications folder, if iPhoto is still there?

    You can open the iPhoto library in pictures by dragging the icon in the Dock of Photos in the iPhoto library.

    It requires that the library is on a compatible player.  The library must be on a local drive mounted, not a NAS, and file system must be in Mac OS extended (journaled). The reader doesn't have to be a Time Machine drive.

    I would like to inform you that executable only files that end with .exe file format can be pinned to start screen, the other files whose file formats such as .txt, or ".chm", "section" etc... cannot be pinned on the screen of Windows 8 start.

    I was just curious to know if we give up the App Catalog and all new software.  I check the app catalog several times a day, and it was not a new piece of software in a very long time.  It is always updated software that I do not in the first place.  Is an extended application catalog a pipe dream right now, or we're going to see an explosion of new software in the future?  My assumption at this point is that the pre will never be the iPhone to this topic...

    The Mojo SDK to develop applications for the Pre only barely became public, so I expect at least a few weeks before new applications are starting to appear.  Those who have not used still need to learn how to develop for WebOS, that takes a bit of time.  I would say that there is a pretty good chance new applications will start appearing soon.  I know that I'm working on a couple myself.

    Not only are they not visible, they are no longer selectable. They /do/ normally appear (that is, when not customize toolbars). Under Firefox Linux Mint 15 22.0 (Olivia: x 86-64).

    Your toolbar customizations are stored in the localstore.rdf file in your Firefox profile folder currently active. This XML file is difficult reading and I don't remember seeing a good documentation on how to modify. If you want to give it a try, please make a backup first.

    If the file is corrupted (or most corrupt, according to the case), you can rename or move it Firefox will generate a new one with default settings and you can start customizing from scratch.

    With the road, it actually seems that you should be able to find and remove the separators.

    Why give a try:

    Open your current Firefox settings (AKA Firefox profile) folder using

    Help > troubleshooting information > button "Open Directory".

    Switch back to Firefox and output

    Break, while Firefox ends his cleaning, so make a backup copy of localstore.rdf (e.g., localstore.0808) and open the rdf file in a text editor to find and change the separators of the addon ramp.

    When you restart Firefox, your changes should be obvious.

    Do a check with some malware malware, analysis of programs on the Windows computer.

    You need to scan with all programs, because each program detects a different malicious program.

    Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before scanning.
