Only access via UCSM KVM

I am able to restrict users to the KVM console only in UCSM?

What are the roles I have to assign to the user to ensure that all they can do is access the KVM Console?

It is not a huge problem if they get the UCSM itself read-only rights.

Create a role called "KVM-Only" or similar and affect only the privilege of "service-profile-server-oper.  Then, create a user as "KVM User" and him given that the role of KVM only.  They will be able to launch the full UCSM or KVM Launcher, but only have privileges access KVM.

Alternative if you want to only grant access KVM while preventing access by connection/UCSM.     Configure an IPMI profile with ipmi-user named something like 'helpdesk' for example. Creating 'helpdesk' offer the privilege of ipmi admin. assign this IPMI-profile to the profile of your server service.      Then use the following link on your browser

http:///ucsm/kvm.jnlp

or

http:///ucsm/kvm.jnlp?kvmIpAddr=w.x.y.z (where w.x.y.z is the Management IP
of the blade or Service profile you wish to provide access to)

It will open a KVM connection screen. Enter the username 'helpdesk' and assigned password and the MMIC-server you have configured IP address.  Address IP of MMIC lie on the Hardware tab, by selecting the blade, then the right selection inventory - MMIC.  The MMIC IP is listed under the section "Management Interface."             This will open the KVM from that server. Also, the ipmi vinay-kvm user only WILL NOT be able to connect to regular UCSM GUI Note that in version 1.3 - MMIC IP is static and will remain with the hardware of server/slot.  In the latest version 1.4, you can join the IP of CIMC/IPMI address your service profile so that it will follow him around everywhere where the profile is associated with.

    Hello

I've set up a new router broadband wireless ADSL to connect to my broadband PostOffice.com existing Standard.

The router is a Belkin F7D1401uk Surf N150 model.

It is facing up and running and I can use other machines to connect to the internet through it. A netbook running Windos XP SP3 and a mobile phone (Nokia X 6), but my laptop main running Windows Viast Home Basic SP2 (32 bit) do not have wireless internet access.

It is a Fujitsu Siemens Amilo Li 2727 laptop. If I connect to the new Belkin router using an ethernet cable, I can connect to the internet. But when I unplug the ethernet cable and turn on the WiFi I see a connection to the modem Belkin Wireless, but on an 'unidentified network' and with 'local access' only.

Here is a copy of what I get when I run "ipconfig/all" at the command prompt:

    Hello Ttard,

Thanks for your post.  One of the solutions, I saw about this problem is to go to your system manufacturer's Web site and download / install the latest driver for your computer wireless.

  • Disable access via RDP client?

    Hi guys,.

I'm all new to vmware view. Have a good undertanding of vsphere and have now been asked to do a trial of opinion.

I'll probably ask a lot of questions, probably the most stupid in this forum.

I have a very operational core facility and was able to access my VD through the client on several different platforms.
My first question is whether it is actually possible to prevent someone to access the DV via a RDP client and only allow access through VMware View Client?
Now I can connect through the client view, determine the host name and access via RDP disconnecting as well display the session.

    See you soon

How about disabling RDP of the OS and that the only available connection connection will be PCOIP - which means he would only come from the customer to view.

  • WVC80N / ActionTec GT701 DSL Modem and Linksys BEFW11S4 router no Web only Access with TZO

OK, so I know the router is a little older but the CD Setup Wizard did his thing, I the TZO confirm email acount and I can access the camera on the spot.  Needless to say that I can't access via the internet or I wouldn't be here.   When I check the router it's all parameters as it should and I guess I should do something for the modem, but what?

So if you do not connect to the internet with a DSL or cable modem, how you?  I guess the Setup Assistant would be see the modem and suggest modifications if necessary.

I need help, otherwise this puppy will come back... THANKS in advance!

I made the transition into the modem as you suggest.  Bingo it works! Thanks for the help. My new router will be here Monday (tomorrow) a Linksys of course, thank you Amazon to have it in stock.

BTW if someone will do the transparent bridging, I just did a few screenshots printed to make sure that I could go back if he's screwed.  It also helps to have your DSL username and password handy.

  • Local only access immediately after the updates from Microsoft installed.

I have a Dell 531 s running Windows Vista Home Basic Edition.  It has been working fine for years with a USB wireless adapter.  The other night I left it on and Microsoft installed some updates and restarted my computer for me.  Since then, I can't get my router LOCAL ONLY access.  I can't access the router or do something that is no longer communicates properly with him.  I looked and I tried to uninstall IASATP 3 equipment, put it back and restart.  Still only ACCESS LOCALLY on this computer, so that all other devices Wi-wired and the same mental health of router to function normally.  Any suggestions?

  • How to unlock the c: drive. I have only access to the folder users and subfolders.

I have only access to the folder users and subfolders.  Everything I tried was "access denied."  I can't get to the root of c:.

    Hi, Scrivmark

The default C: drive system is not intended to access directly by users and therefore users have restricted access to its root in the premeditated or premeditated damage prevention vital system files. If you are an administrator you can allow full access to your account to all or specific files on drive c (including a root folder) by editing its ' authorization of the lists by right-clicking on a file and choosing "Security."
If you are not an administrator, you should ask another user whose account is Administrator (or equivalent) privileges to access the interesting files to your account.
In both cases, you must understand damage system files, you can do.

This suggestion is the intention that your computer is virus-free.

  • Read only access (to hide part of the config)

Is there a way to allow read-only access to only part of the config.  I have clients that require read-only access, but I don't want the portions to the config.

For any help or suggestion would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you

If they have a connection to enable level, they will be able to see the entire configuration (absence of passwords encrypted assuming you are using the service encryption password).

You can make more granular connections and prevent customers from, say, the ability to run arbitrary commands such as "show run". For example you could setup a given user to be alllowed to run 'show interface status' etc. NX - OS has this ability almost "cooked in the oven-in." IOS systems, to a little more work.

  • Read only access ACS 5.3

    Hello guys,.

I use ACS 5.3 with the internal database for authentication of users, I would like to give some users read only rights on the systems.

What is the best way to do it? by not configuring a password to enable for these users? or is there a better way to do this?

    Thanks in advance.

Give read only access on devices such as the router/switch/firewall?

If Yes, then we don't have that one best option is to configure ACS and devices for approval of the order.

I wouldn't be sure if tha applies to your scenario. What you might want to check is this host = xxxx in your tnsnames file points to the right machine or resolve the correct IP addresses. Perahps you have confused primary and standby.

It is possible through the signed app company DPS working with law services.

If its really important, but it is also possible simply by sharing Folios created a unique Adobe ID and giving this ID/password to targeted individuals so that they can connect with the Adobe viewer application and enjoy the content.
