Has it succeeded on two servers servers will have components foundation.
I think it is a good idea to conduct a review of your EPM infrastructure, then you will have a good understanding about what has been deployed where, at least in the future you don't get in this situation again.

    See you soon

The YES version is not applicable to the current version of OPatch.

OPatch failed with the error code 1

    Help appreciated.

You install 11 GR 2. YES is already a more recent version that you can see its 11.2.0.0. but Opatch is lower. It's 11.1.0.9. Therefore, to upgrade Opatch YES no

Why the new version of OPatch (MARCH 2012) does not fit for POWER 13919095 block and which version I should?

Published by: tbrinkmann on September 18, 2012 06:26

The error is misleading and I met usually this when I wrong specified the location of the hotfix.

That group of hotfixes contains actually the 2 patches, and you should not reference the subfolder 13919095 directly, but the location where you have unpacked.

Lets say you have unzipped the patch to/home/oracle/patch, then you should:

    opatch auto /home/oracle/patch -oh ...

    and is not

    opatch auto /home/oracle/patch/13919095 -oh ...

    Hi all

I read the complete thread of back in October 2011, "Application of Patch failed with error code 41" the platform is Windoze Server Std Edition R2, x 64. Oracle 11.2.0.3, just install, "Software only".

I followed Werner (uid = oradba) suggestion to rename the oracle home directory. Restart the system; base name return oracle > run OPatch. Still get the same error code 41.

I tried the suggestion of run as administrator. The same code error 41.

I've got no dll or other files in my list of "used by a few other processes." 32 cases of my folder by user error are: D:\oracle\product\11.2.0\dbhome_1\oui\jlib\srvm.jar done YES restrict editing of the srvm.jar? How to get to give up control?

  • Opatch error: the patch directory field must be a number.

    Hello Sir,

I try to upgrade EBS 11i to R12, I come to this place of the document

    ·          SQL> shutdown immediate;

    · 27 apply additional 11.2.0.4 RDBMS patches

    when I apply patch 17468141 ,

I had this error patch area directory must be a number, but I apply patches a lot before I do not had this error.

So please help me out in this matter.

    Thank you

    Ahmed.

    Hello

If you want to upgrade the database 11g and the application of R12 in the same window of downtime, then do not follow the document ID 881505.1 and rather follow Doc ID 1058763.1.

If you want to upgrade to 11g and stay on 11i for awhile, you can then follow the document 881505.1. Patching must be performed while the application is down.

The examples CD is in 6 of the fix 13390677file. When you click Download, you will get a list of 7 files.

Download files 1,2 and 6 only.

    Download OPatch step by step:

    1. Go to the download of patches
    2. Type the patch # 6880880
    3. Enter your platform (x 86 Linux, for example)
    4. Look for a patch with the description "hotfix version 11.2.0.3.10 of Oracle software OPatch publishes 11.2.0.x (April 2015).
    5. Download the patch
    6. Unzip the file into the 11.2.0.4 oracle home (unzip qo - p6880880_112000_LINUX.zip d $ORACLE_HOME)
    7. Check the version (version opatch)

  • opatch vs YES

    Hello all;

I collect information about opatch. I am not satisfied with the rest of the statements.
    IS this true?
Opatch is also another type of patch,
When we apply the single fix, we can use opatch utility.
When we applying patchsets, we can use YES.
If we have downtime, we use YES. If not, we can use opatch.
Note: I've seen official docs saying opatch is a utility not as another type of patch.

    Please provide details... Thank you...

Similarly, there is no executable file named "Opatch" in one of the directories listed in your PATH variable. In fact, there is no file named "Opatch", period. At least none supplied by oracle. UNIX is case sensitive. "Opatch! = "opatch.

I didn't however stop correctly before attempting to restart, but perhaps as a result the errors above, there are some processes that have not been deleted from the memory. I can't detect any known process of Oracle running in the Task Manager.

Could anyone suggest how I could make the files listed "inactive"?

Oracle DLLs are also used by other processes. You must use process Explorer (www.sysinternals.com) tool and find what process is now lock on these libraries. Stop/kill this process and then restart the patch process.

  • Opatch error 73 "Windows 2008 R2.

During the opatch to a new installation of Oracle 11 g version 11.2.0.1.4 that I was trying to opatch with opatch (17906982) said that I need to update to 11.2.0.1.9 before I can run this opatch. I went back to opatc (16803775) and he always says the same thing. My main question is does anyone know what opatch contains the update of 11.2.0.1.4 to 11.2.0.1.9 so that I can update to the most recent opatch.

This forum works on a Windows Server 2008 R2 computer with all the permissions to all files of oracle connected as the system administrator.

Please let me know also if I need to provide more information to help on this...

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

    Thank you

I ended up by not requiring the opatch 68___ because I already had the displacement. I was able to copy my another server OPatch folder on this server because they would be executed in the same database, then use the Opatch. This solved the problem and allowed me to patch the system. I ended up having only tinkering at the Aug patch (16803775) at the request of customers.

Thank you Srini once again for all your help.

    Hi user10088255,

Please follow the procedure under the section 'How to check the contents of the inventory Central' (Doc ID 742477.1) to check whether or not 10.1.2 ORACLE_HOME is registered in the central inventory. If it is not registered then follow one of the methods in the same doc to add.

    Thank you

    Hussein
