open pdf file without change and ask to register [SharePoint]

Hi, I'm doing migration Domino doc to Sharepoint 2010 migrated under MS Word. When I come to the SharePoint click here to see the pdf attachment in the document, I encountered this message asking me to save. I did not change the document, while browsing through the attachment to check if everything is successfully migrated. To the user, it will be very painful because it just open pdf without change and ask to record every time. Is there no work around for this problem? What is the behavior of MS Office?

  • I can't open pdf files in firefox, and I tried all the solutions proposed by others. How can I reactivate pdf in firefox?

I have recently switched to Firefox to Google Chrome, and I find that I can't open all PDFs from the web in some way in Firefox. I can't download them and open them in Adobe Reader and I can't preview them in Firefox, or I can use the plugin from Adobe. I tried to use the solutions posed by users on this site, but none of them have worked. Whenever I have an amendment to the settings to try to resolve this problem, change never allows me to view the pdf file, and the setting reverts to the previous setting after the browser is restarted. I don't like how to display the file, but I need to be be able to see a preview or I need to be able to download it.

I use an adobe download add-on, 3.0.0.2, and I have disabled. Now, I can actually open pdf files in my browser shows a preview, or download them as I see fit. Thank you!

But clearly, there is an error with the add-on.

  • All of a sudden I can't open PDF files on emails and documents

Using Firefox and BT Yahoo email on a PC with Vista. This week I was not able to open all documents including the files PDF come to me on email. This has never been a problem before. I tried to empty history as in a previous question, but that did not work.

The current versions of Firefox have allowed a built-in PDF Viewer that has all of the features that other PDF as Adobe Reader readers have or can not work properly otherwise.

You can change the action for Portable Document Format (PDF) to Preview in Firefox to use another application like Adobe Reader or define always ask in "Firefox > Options/Preferences > Applications.

You can set the pref pdfjs.disabled true on the topic: config page to disable the build-in the PDF Viewer.

You can check the value of pref plugin.disable_full_page_plugin_for_types on the topic: config page and delete the application/pdf if it is present or reset the pref via the context menu by default if you want to display PDF documents in Firefox with another application (i.e. not integrated PDF Viewer).

My PC has been infected! I have Windows XP. When I try to open any exe. file, I get a pop-up window asking me what program to open the file with. Any suggestions on how to fix this problem myself?

    Hello
This problem occurs when your .exe file associations are broken. This is usually caused by malicious software that changes the default file associations in Windows. Follow these instructions to resolve this problem:
Then try following the steps in this virus/malware removal guide: http://www.selectrealsecurity.com/malware-removal-guide

  • I can't open PDF files

I have Adobe Acrobat 9.2 installed. When I receive a PDF file instead of open it using Adobe (as it did in the past) Microsoft Word Viewer takes over and asks me to do a file conversion. Everything goes down hill from there.
I'm running Vista, I deleted Microsoft Word Viewer under all programs.
Used to be able to open PDF files without problem.
If I right click on the file it asks me what program I want to open with; the only option it gives me is OPEN.

Go to start / Default programs / associate a file or Protocol with a program and highlight .pdf.  Shall be provided to Adobe Reader as the default program, but it probably isn't.  Click on edit, and then see if Adobe Reader is one of the options indicated.  If so, choose it and save your work.  You will now be able to open PDF files.  If Adobe Reader is not one of the options, click Browse and locate the executable file of Adobe Reader (it will be probably somewhere in a subdirectory of the secondary Program Files directory) and select that, like the program by default.  Once again, once done you should be able to once more open the PDF files.  Chances are good that the Microsoft Word Viewer set themselves up as the default for PDF files and now there is noplace to (they have no valid link).  The reason why you have no options to open with, it is that there is probably no configuration of the associations for the PDF files and programs.

You can also try to uninstall Adobe Reader and then re-install.  That should restore the association and solve the problem.  How to solve the problem, it is up to you.

    I hope this helps.

  • Adobe Pro XI trail is over, but I need to open PDF files

I was previously able to open all PDFs without going through the trail Pro XI.  I downloaded the trail already when I received a message from Adobe update.  The trail was 30 days, so I accepted because he understood the possibility of converting a PDF to a Word Document.  Now that the track is over, I can't open any PDF files.  I get a message that the path is over and the only option is for me to buy the Pro XI, it does not leave my open PDFs without me by selecting the purchase option.  I want to come back to be able to open PDF files without having to buy the Pro XI and without this coming post on the trail being expired.  I need immediate help because I had to open a PDF days!

For troubleshooting, you can disable the Protected Mode (https://helpx.adobe.com/reader/using/protected-mode-windows.html#id_94783) and see if that solves the problem. If the problem persists, please re-enable the Protected Mode to improve safety.

  • I can´t see more save it button to overwrite the changes directly on an open pdf file. Is there a solution to this?

Hi, I m a free user update to Acrobat Reader DC, but I can´t more see the Save button to overwrite the changes directly on an open pdf file. I mean, I give myself the option "Save as", but then I have to find the right place to save. In my older version of Acrobat Reader when I pressed the button 'save' the program automatically looked for the folder the document I was working on had been, but now it seems that I have to search the folder manually whenever I want to save a file on my computer. Is there a solution to this?

If not, I would like to install my old version of Acrobat Reader (I m in doubt between X and XI: I think it was the last one). How can I install my old version without losing changes (comments, for example) I did on my pdf files? Thank you very much.

    Best regards

The "Save" button becomes available when you make changes to the file. If you come to open a file and make any changes to it (and this isn't a temporary file) then this button is disabled. This is how applications work.

  • IE9 asks to save or open pdf files

    Hello

I don't know if it of a problem or not.

At present, when a website (using IE9) and I click here to download a pdf file, the bar shows gold/white IE9 running security analysis, then the pdf just opens in the version current/updated to adobe reader I installed on my PC (I not adobe reader should open in your browser). Therefore, sounds good, because the analysis runs, the pdf file opens and I can save it from the disc in the adobe reader software.

However, when you click on the PDF in the first place, in the Web page I go to, I was wondering if the download in IE9 bar should be asking me if I want to open or save the pdf file. The bar and I wonder if I want to save or open .exe downloads, as would be expected, it just does not appear for the pdf files. Also, once the pdf file is downloaded and opened, nothing appears in the download area of view (but not .exe, if it works for these objects).

    Therefore:

-should the IE9 bar be asking me if I want to open or save the pdf file.

    - and if it should, how do I ask questions?

Someone at - it ideas please?

    Cheers.

PS I have since reset IE9 in all accounts and restarted but the problem persists.

PPS I have since uninstalled and reinstalled the IE9 and Adobe Reader, but the problem remains. However, something is strange.

After both uninstall and reboot, I reinstalled IE9 on its own (not Adobe Reader). Then I tried to download a pdf file and the bar of gold/white in IE9 worked perfectly - he asked if I wanted to open or save the pdf file and ran the scan of security as intended - ideal.

However, I then reinstalled Adobe Reader and the problem came back. When you download a pdf file, the gold/white bar appeared, but showing no sweep only, no application to open or save the pdf file.

Therefore, the question is why IE9 allows Adobe reader to bypass open it or save the request, when in the help files IE9 it clearly shows a picture of handling pdf Download Manager, which suggest opening or saving would have been selected? So, how can I IE9 to ask me if I want to open or save again and stop Adobe to do what he does?

You could try posting over at Adobe.

    Hi nancye22519208 ,

Please right-click on any PDF on your system, then go to properties > under general, you will find "opens with". Here you will see 'change' option, by clicking on it, wil give you a window from which you can choose the Acrobat Standard XI as a default for PDF files.

  • change the default setting to remove or hide the toolbar when creating or opening pdf file

As is typical, software engineers, or maybe it's the marketing clowns who prescribe what we, collectively, want or expect with software apps new and improved, we know and love. When I create and/or launch a pdf file I am unable to stop the 'tools' to also launch - pane "" they think I am unable to find said 'tool pane', then 'they' put up as a characteristic defect - SOMETHING I don't care for...

So, anyone know how to prevent such "Component tools" to accompany any pdf file I create and/or start to show after the backup?

PS - I tried through the function "Préférences" under "Edit" in the menu bar. Maybe I am unable to decipher what certain choices are so I'm on the possible solution. I tired many variables without result.
