• Only in Illustrator: file/open "Preview" Panel is out of control in large. The display turns off. How can I control it?

  This should be a problem Apple FInder, but it only happens in Illustrator: if I open AICC, then press command-Open and get several predictable column of the files directory, then go to the right column, a list of graphic files, an Illustrator, a Photoshop, the Preview Panel is so big that the preview itself is there, but out of sight , off the screen, somewhere to the right. I know enough to expand and reduce look horizontally, column by using the angle at the bottom right of the column of directory, but this does not seem to matter. The preview does not appear unless I scroll as much right as I can and drag it. Literally, I can't see the preview of the file that I am after without seeking a large empty space for him. This all sounds stupid, I know, but this should not happen. Any ideas?

• I've recently upgraded to Live Photo Gallery for Windows Vista. I have more the possibility to open, preview or edit my photos.

  My Windows Explorer keep crashing (sporadically) when I browse my documents word and excel spreadsheets.

  If you have something whenever you connect your iMac to opening (Preview), please see if there is something in your elements of connection as an extract or an opening in preview image.

  OS X El Capitan: items open automatically when you connect

  You can have applications, documents, folders or server connections open automatically whenever you access your Mac.

  Add or remove automatic items

  1. Choose the Apple menu > System Preferences, and then click users and groups.

  2. Select the user, and then click connection points.

  3. Do one of the following:

     • Click on the button Add below the list on the right, select a document, or a folder, and then click Add.

     • Select the name of the element you want to prevent from opening automatically, and then click the button remove below the list on the right.

     • If you do not want windows an element will be visible after logging in, select hide.

       Note: Hide does not apply to servers, which always appear in the viewfinder after login.

  Temporarily prevent items automatically open when you log

  If you see the login window, press the SHIFT key while you click on the button to connect, then release the SHIFT key when you see the Dock.

  If you do not see the login window, restart your Mac, hold down the SHIFT key when you see the progress bar in the start window, then release the SHIFT key after the desktop appears.

• Is it possible to preview the images in the file to Dreamweaver cc tab 2015 without opening each one in the browser or photoshop, etc. ?

  I have several pictures and I just wanted to see if there is a way to view them as thumbnails in the files tab in Dreamweaver cc 2015. Just, I think it's silly to have to open/preview each of them.

  The active panel (under window > active if it is not open) has a small generator to preview when you click on an image.

  Given that I've updated for macOS 10.12 I can't change any photo on my desk with Preview.app.

  When I do a print screen or drag a picture of Mail.app on my desk and start to edit, I get a notice in Preview.app that the original document is not editable and a duplicate has been created.

  If I copy the same exact file in my documents folder I can modify it. But when I add running on the file on my desktop, I can change it as well. But why files rwx for me on my desktop but rw in the folder my documents is sufficient?

  What is the problem with my desktop folder or files contained in it?

  Files and folders are set to my username and the personal group.

  Closing and opening preview or restart the computer may fix. Otherwise, close preview, open a Terminal window and type/paste:

  RM - r ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.Preview

• How can I disable print preview

  I installed Firefox 38. I've been avoid for a year because of the stupid that UI changes that really pss me off.

  I don't like Chrome and IE even more, so I'm finding how to get things to work as they did before.

  Once, when I clicked on the print button in the toolbar would raise Print and I could click OK. Now, it brings up the preview before printing. It adds additional steps every time and I don't like. Most of the time I'm printing to PDF, so I saw print.

  How can I change the toolbar button do NOT use print preview mode?

  Look, there are many users who is upset with the print button now opens preview before printing first rather open the native print dialog box; their is a Bug filed on this subject because it is more difficult to "print selection", but until it's resolved - this is the way it is - broken.

  I keep my right hand on the mouse and use my left hand (thumb and index) to Ctrl + P with the right Ctrl key when I want to print without preview.

• Migration of opening of Capture One Pro 9?

  I always like to Aperture 3.  And I don't want to leave.   But I thought that I better before it becomes incompatible with a future upgrade of the OS.  I checked Lightroom and Capture One Pro 9.    The latest looks near the opening.  And you can import Aperture referenced or unmanaged libraries.   I made a few very small (< 200 images) and it works great scans, versions, metadata transfer.

  But that is the problem.  My main Aperture libraries are about 10K - 40K images each.   When I try to import one of these all are important but then the Capture One Pro (from here call C1) crashes during preview generation.

  I tried to split the libraries in pictures 2-5 K.   Still crashes.  I used the opening to rebuild the database from the library, I tried libraries managed and referenced, I have searched and deleted all files "offline."

  I know this is a community of support for opening, but we all have to leave the opening at some point.  I guess many of you have made the leap and many of you have successufly jumped to C1.

  For those of you who did this did you also have a problem like mine and how solve you this problem.

  Did you test if opening can render previews? You can have a picture of your library file that is corrupted and cannot be processed.

  By exporting a test of Aperture library, and then delete all the previews of this library and let Aperture generate new preview. Can opening return the previews? To remove the opening previews use the menu "Photos" in the opening.

  If so, repeat migration.

  I have not yet tried the migration, but the opening may also crash when rendering of previews. Maybe you can isolate the problem in opening.

  Hello. Try to do the following.

  Click on finder / click on the menu at the top go / hold down the option key and select the library folder.

  1 find the Preferences folder in the library.

  2. open this file and look for com.apple.Preview.LSSharedFileList.plist.

  3. move this file to the desktop.

  4. click on finder / click on the menu at the top go / hold down the option key and select the library folder.

  5. find the folder of container and open it. Move the file com.apple.preview on the desktop.

  6. click on finder / click on the menu at the top go / hold down the option key and select the library folder.

  7. look for the folder of application state saved in the library. Open and find com.apple.Preview.savedState and move it to the desktop.

  Restart your mac and launch the preview.

  When I click on a unique, preview pdf file try to implement all pdf files in my computer.  (Yes ball spin in past...) I have to use a Force Quit out.  My software is up to date and I rebooted, but still have the problem.  No problem with Word, Excel, etc.  Only pdf files.  Never had this problem until now.  Any suggestions?  Thank you.

  What event immediately prior to the onset of this wild behavior? Update to OSX? Add something? WHATEVER IT IS.

• Open / convert .cwk drawing file into something else than Clarisworks

  I have a problem and can't seem to find a solution.

  I have over 2000 + cards of Member (with images) stored in Clarisworks (.cwk) drawing files. Each file contains 10 cards of members with a photo that could be printed on paper card and laminate to make a membership card. so I have more than 200 of these drawing .cwk files.

  I need to be able to open these .cwk files in another program or convert them to another program that is not interrupted so that I can entrust the task of taking every photo, cropping and at a savings. JPG file with the dimensions of the specific pixels.

  I can't currently entrust this task as no one can open a .cwk file...

  Does anyone know how to open these drawing .cwk files in another program or convert them?  I found ways to open documents to simple text but nothing that can open files of drawing .cwk with embedded images.

  I also have access to an old Mac with the program of Clarisworks to open these files... Is it possible to convert it into a usable format more updated using this program?

  I have something to play with, but I can suggest that if you have a computer OS x can open AppleWorks, you probably can click on the picture, copy it and open preview and place n command to create a new file of the image in the Clipboard, and then save it in a file with the name of the person.

  Preview will have the added benefit of saving to any size compatible format and file you want.

  A good workflow would be to create an empty (white) image in the right size, the resolution format and file preview and paste it into that. You should get the handles on the image to be able to resize to the borders of files. And then do a record under. Organize a list of parallel text of the names of all card holders, so you can save typing (and errors) to copy and paste into the names of image files.

  There may be other solutions you can think of that work better in practice once you have made a few.

• Defrag damage a file or its folder that had been open and saving the changes?

  BACKGROUND

  ("Work") file, including the file ("History.xls") I opened its doors and mounting and don't save while Disk Defragmenter is running in the background 'disappeared' AFTER that I closed on History.xls and then Defragmenter.

  COMMENTS:

  After the cancellation of defragmentation:

  • All other folders seem to be present. However, it took between 15-30 seconds for them to open the 'first' time.
  • Defrag never stopped, didn't report it was over, or what "improvements", he did. I had to "Cancel".
  • Files was between 15 and 30 seconds to open "Preview".
  • The 'Work' folder was still present in the directory tree display. When I clicked it, however, he was nowhere to be found. Could not display it in the command line or from the administrator command prompt. Just a folder with some of my most valuable files - gone!
  • Defrag has run longer than 24 hours because: 1) the instructions says it could take several hours and 2) he has spent most of the time 'analysis' 3) all other options are grayed out and 4) 'You can still use your computer while the defragmentation process'... Finally, I had enough.
  • To the best of my knowledge, I did not remove the file still less his file.
  • The file or the folder are in the trash.
  • The computer had worked perfectly until I ran Defrag (now its response slow BUT WORSE I get back is no longer a very valuable file).

  Defrag will not damage any file or folder.

  Fragmentation makes your hard drive to do extra work that can slow down your computer. Disk Defragmenter rearranges fragmented data so can work more effectively your hard drive.

• Illustrator does not open "an unknown error has occurred (-108)".

  I installed Yosemite a few weeks and it took several days to finally get things working again. Everything was fine for awhile, but now Safari try to continually reload pages, Mail crashes when I check new messages (it disappears without warning), Illustrator gives me "unknown error (-108)", just InDesign disappears when I try to start it, Word does not open, preview does not work in the finder. This is a major drawback and makes my pretty useless Mac.
