  I open an email with pictures.  When I click on the photo attached to the view, the excel program opens and not the image viewer.

  One of photo accessories save somewhere you can find it (for example, your desktop computer).
  Right-click on the file that you saved and select open with, then select "Choose program" (at the bottom of the context menu).

  If the program you want to use is listed as one of the "recommended programs", select it, click on the box to "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file" and click OK.

  If you want to use the Windows Picture and Fax Viewer to view photos (personally, I like free IrfanView better) AND it is NOT listed as a program "recommended" or under "Other programs", follow the instructions below:

• Impossible to start and open the event viewer.

  I have Windows Vista (SP1) currently and am having some problems with the event viewer.

  Whenever I try to run the observer of events, either through the program or the elevated command prompt, MMC pushes me to get approval to open.

  Once opened, an error message appears indicating "MMC cannot initialize the snap-in" with the only option to hit being 'Okay '.
  I love the event viewer in order to keep track of my system and wonder if there is any means possible to get this corrected and resolved.

  When you use the view Client we are invited to connect to the agent connection, then guests again on the virtual Windows machine. I was told that it is because of the legal warning that is displayed before the sign-in Windows appears.

  A training class for view 4.0.1 told us, that this would happen when you configure LegalCaptionNotice and LegalCaptionText in the registry of your Windows Client or via GPO/policy. (I did not try myself, if)

  To work around the problem (if the warning is required), disable these settings and use 'Message before logon' view - which can be defined in the global settings dialog box - instead.

  It is definitely a scam any.  Microsoft did not communicate people this way.  Ignore them - hang up on them.  In addition to not let them connect to your system, do not allow direct you to a Web site or download anything they suggest - it can be worse than just a marketing effort and an attempt to infect, hack, get information about identity theft or otherwise affect your system (and it may be an effort to marketing as well to infect and then you sell a product to remove infections - which may or may not) not work and most likely the product itself is an infection still further or hacking).

  Good job on caution and check first.  Play well!  You yourself have potentially saved a lot of grief.  They are the same type of thing by e-mail, and Microsoft is not communicate with people that way either about this sort of thing, then ignore and junk all these messages and DO NOT open the attachments to these messages.  Just remove them completely.

  So far so good. We have created a dynamic office and were able to deploy desktop computers. We use an ad group to allow users to this pool.

  The strange thing is, I left all this next door for a few minutes and tried to connect via Client discovered again later.   What ESX version are you running?  They had the 4.0 update number 2 with PCOIP, http://kb.vmware.com/kb/1022830.

  Start > run > clipbrd.exe > OK

  For reasons, I do not understand there is no way documented and supported to customize the reports beyond paging parameters available in report attributes and the very limited support for editing report models.

  follow these steps
  1.) get it the host name and the ip address of the server database and put in the file host localhost of the system located in the drivers/etc/hosts

  (2) turn once the details in the host of the local machine file, then test the ip address using the cmd prompt.

  (3) install the customer database in your local computer and in the file tnsnames.ora network/admin folder is there in this folder you need to update details of dabase server that is installed in the Linux machine.

  (4) then open the client and create a new RPD by selecting the type of connection as OIC 10 g / 11 G
  and enter the DNS of the database server that is located in the tnsnames.ora file and provide the schema of database user name and password to import files to build the RPD.
