Operation of fingerprints

I seems that my security system does not work with fingerprint recognition and I get this message "cannot connect to the Passport. An internal error has occurred (bl: bio-bl-mtsi-tbx-not-impl). »

The fingerprint works when connecting the BIOS, but not on turning the tension or auto pasword manager. I deleted and reloaded the software of fingerprint and used the backup but got no change at all. Any ideas on how I can find fingerprints noral windows mode setting.

The system is Z60m 2529 3 FKG 8388 running on Windows XP profetional Bios 1.24 with embedded controller version 1.18.

Any ideas?

Have you done the following steps?

(1) uninstall the RPF of Add/Remove Programs (Control Panel)

(2) restart the BIOS (F1 key at startup) access unit

3 BIOS) go to the security-> fingerprint-> wipe fingerprints data

(4) F10 to save and exit

(5) reinstall RPF using ThinkVantage System Update (or search this document on the site of Lenovo-> RAHUL-66948)

Let me know if it helps

Kind regards

Mark

I read somewhere on the site of HP windows 7 drivers for this TX2 - 1027CA won't be available until October 2009. Still I use it now, and the main system works well. There is a problem in the fingerprint reader and perhaps the webcam for me at this point. Until that HP provides drivers updated, I was wondering if there may be versions beta drivers for the TX2 I could try. I am ready to continue using windows 7, but I would try to install the drivers updated as soon as possible. Maybe it's two months away and one month after the availability of the operating system for MSDN subscribers (several companies and developers). • Portege R700 - problem with fingerprints to connect on Win7

I have problems with my new Portege R700 with fingerprint reader to log on Win 7 acount.

I have digital fingerprints installation to the system via the Toshiba fingerprint utility. Several times I can wake up the Portege of sleep or turn it on, fingerprints from the BIOS is accepted, after which appears logon screen in Win7 and in some cases, I'm able to connect automatically to this account. In some cases just system is pending, it is not possible to login with the password. I restart phone, sometimes more than once.

    To the right,.

I have a laptop Toshiba Pro S300 with AES1610 fingerprint reader.
Whenever I start windows and was produced for more than a week now it appears constantly wanting to install an update for AES1610, when you select ok to complete the installation of software, he finally opens the Truesuite Access software and wants to repair to change or remove.
Please can someone help me solve this problem.

Fingerprint sensor and truesuite software is always fully operational as well.

    Hello

I had this happen with Vista, it seems Vista tries to install the new drivers from the Windows Update site.

WARNING: This could remove your fingerprints and passwords registered in the utility so in this case you will need to add them, make sure you know your windows password as well to get back in.

    What I did from memory.

    1) go through the installation program and click Finish.
    2) go to start - Control Panel - programs and features
    (3) find the entry of TrueSuite Access Manager and uninstall this program
    (4) restart the machine.

    Then...

    1) go to start - Control Panel - Device Manager
    (2) find the entry for personal identification devices and expand it to see the AuthenTec Inc. entry, right click and go to the update driver software and use search automatically. This should find the most recent version that Windows wants to install on the site to update, follow the wizard and we hope that it will be the end of it.

I think that what is happening is update is installing a more recent version of Windows, but as the old version is still on the machine, its installation program detects the driver or the program has changed and it is then re - install the old version, if you get stuck in a loop.

    Hope that helps.

  • Portege Z930 - use of the same fingerprints under 2 different OS?

    Hello

on my Z930 I use Win 7 64 bit and Win8 64-bit on two different partitions.

I tried to use the biometric for complete starting and the connection on the two parallel functioning of sytsems, but it does not work.

If I use my right index finger for Win7, it works. If I try to use the same finger with Win 8, I get the message, that this finger is already used and I can't use it once more.

Then, I tried to export the foxgloves in Win7 and import it into Win8 - it did not work. I could not import, the system denies.

I think that the biometric is regardless of the operationg systems in hardware from Toshiba. So far I can't find, how can I assign in Win7 already stored digital to Win8 user?

There is a workaround to use different fingers for different operating systems-, but it should work more intelligent.

    > If I use my right index finger for Win7, it works. If I try to use the same finger with Win 8, I get the message, that this finger is already used and I can't use it once more.

I think you need to use different fingers for Win 7 and Win 8
In my opinion the reason for this is that you cannot import fingerprints of two different systems: Win 7 to 8 win as two tools seems to be a little different.

If you have already saved the fingerprints for Win 7 and therefore you cannot use the same finger to win 8.
I recommend you to use another hand to Win 7 and the other hand to win 8 (IE for Win 7 and right to left to win 8)

  • Cannot open files locked by using fingerprints on Tecra A11 - 17 H

    Hello

    I have a Toshiba Tecra A11 - 17 H - PTSE0E-03402EFR
OS is Windows 7 64 bit

    Here's my problem:
I blocked files (image, text) with fingerprints, while I was running Windows XP Professional.

I copied my files without unlocked on external hard drive, and then uninstalled XP and installed Windows 7.
After the relocation, the fingerprint reader has stopped working.
I had to download the drivers and software on the Toshiba site.

I then put my transferred on the external hard drive on the computer, but now it is impossible to open the file.
Extension has been changed (automatically), an fpl. came to added after the original extension.

I tried fpl removed, but nothing happens.
When I right-click, I do not have the option 'unblock, but rather "to protect the file".

I understand (reading the forum) that fingerprinting technology TPM consists of a microchip containing a unique computer decryption key.
Theoretically, it would be possible to unlock my files, since it is the same computer...

    Help me please...

    Please read this:
[Cannot access protected fingerprint after recovery files | http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB9802O50000R01.htm]

    _Issue: _
A user can access its files of fingerprints protected when you save these files on external storage as for example a network drive and perform a recovery or reinstallation of the operating system on the computer where the files are protected.

    Individual: _
AuthenTec fingerprint software provides a feature called 'the file/folder protection' which gives the user the ability to protect files without worrying if stored locally, on an external (USB flash memory) or network storage with either a password or stored fingerprints. After you protect the files, they cannot be moved/copied/deleted until the user Déprotège them.

The first cause of the above mentioned scenario is due to the fact that the fingerprint software "Authentec" creates a link between material installed fingerprint and file system on the HARD disk that functions as a key. This connection is deleted after a formatting or removal of the hard drive of the computer. Without this connection, the files are no longer accessible and the user will not be able to unprotect them since there is no "key", that could unlock the file protection.

    _Resolution: _
To avoid any loss of data caused by this scenario, * you need to unprotect the files before storing the files on external media * for purposes of backup/storage and then reinstall the operating system.
Generally, users should make sure to keep a backup accessible to external storage of data corruption and data loss.

    Hello

I don't have a problem with my toshiba Notebook but I have a question for understandig better how the fingerprintutility works

    Why:

In addition to the win7 preinstalled, I installed win8.1. on my laptop (and for some win10 zp also Tests)

As I tried to register finerprint even earn 8.1. and win10 as in win7 the utility came up with
the message, that this finger is already registered and collapsed registry process

    So I ask you:

Why fingerprint utility, know that fingerprint is stored in an operating system that is not
    up and running?

In the end, I took three different fingers for my three different operating systems and all works well

Thank your for tips to better understand how this utility works

    Kurt

Is that fingerprints are stored and saved in a special sensor box (hardware).
If the fingerprint is already saved in windows system, you can not record the same footprint once more, using another system.

    Hello

You can try to disable/uncheck software or applications of fingerprints in msconfig-> Startup tab.
This would prevent the software to load automatically when you start the Windows operating system.

In my case, it worked and could turn off the different applications and processes in msconfig.

You have HP SimplePass installed - and you didn't say whether or not it does - AND you run (a version of) the original program of the series 6 HP SimplePass (delivered) installed with your computer.  This series of the program may, or may not, to run in your new operating system Windows 10.

I've read the claims of one of the members who series 6 HP SimplePass, i.e. HP SimplePass probably version 6.0.100.276 - runs in Windows 10.  I can't verify this is the case.

    How?

Replace the existing driver of validity:

    • Uninstall - do NOT delete the driver from Device Manager
    • Reboot (restart) the computer and connect
    • Make sure your sign Options defined in the laptop settings

If your series 6 HP SimplePass program does not itself, i.e. the program starts and then berms, the start screen starts / stops / flashes / freezes, then you can try:

    • Hard Reset / forced Reset
    • 'Fix' the program SimplePass (programs and features)
    • Tryoverloading the program, that is, install the program on top of itself without removing the current program from the computer.

You have been under series 8 HP SimplePass.

There is a new program series 8 HP SimplePass compatible Windows 10 available:

    How?

Replace the existing driver of validity:

    • Uninstall - do NOT delete the driver from Device Manager
    • Reboot (restart) the computer and connect

Download and install the new series 8 HP SimplePass program

    • The package will probably download in your downloads folder > > double click to install

A strange combination of other factors are not

In all cases, you want to reinstall your driver validity sensor.

You can probably use the Driver for Windows 8.1 you already have:

    validity sensor V4.4.234.0 Win8 sp58900 - Win8.1

    Logon Windows native 10

Even if you do not use HP SimplePass - or if you have never used and don't even have it installed - once you have reinstalled the driver validity sensor, you could check / settings / manage your PC settings > accounts > Sign-in Options

Native Windows logon can you logged on to the computer with your fingerprint - up to now, it cannot connect to Web Sites.
