optimal size of the photo

I want to know what is the optimal size of the photo of the Apple calendar. Particularly in the case of several photos per month.

Thank you and best regards

pamabi

Photo calendars are size 13 x 10.4 inches (or 33 x 26.4 cm).

Information about the books, cards and calendars ordered photos for OS X and iPhoto - Apple Support

The photos you use will be quite large, if the pixel size is high enough to support at least 200 dpi, best 250 dpi.

So the picture full size should be at least 2600 pixels wide, better 3350 pixels to 250 dpi.

If you want to have 3 pictures in a row, to split these numbers by three.

  • Size of the photo from the front of the watch

I did experiment with the use of a photo for a watch dial. While I'm not thrilled there is no way to do any customization of complication with a created face, I tried to find the best size for the photo so I can display as much of it as possible on the face.

Has anyone experiences no more can I have, since I got my watch for a month to see what photo size must be in order to fully have it displays on the dial of the watch? I'm not looking for something with the small detail, but if I wanted to post the picture of my dog, for example, if I wanted to see his face or his entire body, what pixel dimensions should I use? I created a special folder to save these pictures to and synchronization directly on the watch/phone.

    Hi Chris

It is not necessary to manually resize a photo for dimensions in pixels used by Apple Watch.

Instead, in order to ensure that your facial features of watch picture your favorite content posted in its entirety, you can use a photo with an aspect ratio of 4:5. Pan and zoom that you like, then synchronize with your watch. The image will be resized automatically (in terms of pixels).

For example, when you add a photo of your iPhone:

    • When you use a photo portrait:
      • Press Edit (top-right).
      • Select the crop tool, and then choose the option for the 4:5 crops (Apple Watch screen ratio).
      • Pan and zoom to position the image as you want it to appear on the dial, keeping in mind that the watch displays time in the upper quarter right the watch face.
      • Type actually.
      • Add the photo to the watch via your sync Album (it will be resized automatically on your watch in terms of pixels, while keeping all of the content you have selected).
      • Select the photo to use as a dial of the Photo.
    • If starting with a photo in format landscape, firstly of cultures in a portrait format before you follow the same steps (as the ratio 4:5 crops option is not otherwise available).

  • HP 7520 - cannot print custom size of the photo tray photo

I am trying to print a photo of small 2.5 cm wide on a 4 x 6 "piece of photo paper. If I choose the "custom" paper size then I can select 4 x 6 on the right and put 4 copies of the photo on the sheet.  But when I click on print it always goes for the main paper tray and then gives me an error (I emptied the main tray because I don't want it to be used). I don't want to use a large sheet of paper.

How can I force to take the paper from the photo bin? I tried every setting I can think. The selection of paper size automatically assumes that it is the size of the photo I want! If I choose 4 x 6 as my paper size it only allows me to print one full page. I need a tiny picture, preferably several times on one page. Without doubt, I should be able to say print the picture of this exact size and paper tray! Can anyone help please?

I use the HP Photosmart 7520 and Windows 7. Thank you.

    SeoulGal,

Thanks for the quick response. You have me a little confused, so I just want to clarify - initially you were trying to print on 4 X 6 paper, you then changed to 10 x 15, because the paper was not shooting from the photo tray? I assume you mean 10x15cm which is always the same size from 4 x 6 paper.

Anyway I understand that he won't shoot the photo tray paper, you place the tray in the photo tray when selecting to print? Have a look here at how change printer settings so it pulls the correct status bar: Print the Photos saved on your computer (Windows)

Please don't forget to take a look at the paper handling section in the printer Specifications as 2.5 photo size you are interested in is not, see here: 7520 Photosmart e-all-in-one printer printer Specifications

I could open my Windows Live Photo Gallery and play with the settings of the picture, when I select option 4 x 6 as you, I only get the option for "picture full page. Now when I select the letter or 8x10inches I am then given more options 2-4x6s, 1-8 x 10, 9-wallets and Board contact etc.. So that leads me to believe this is a limitation of the software.

Have you tried using another photo program to see if this allows you to get you exactly what you want? I open HP Photo Creations on my computer and did the following:

    1. click on the option of high prints

    2. navigate to multiple display prints and select display multiple impressions of grid.

    3. click on customize and print

    4. along the top, you are given the option to choose size, please make sure that the value is 4 x 6. See below

    5. now under the advance printing options, go ahead and select the following settings:

    6. you are also able to change the number of pictures you want per sheet, I've now fixed it 2. If you want to only 1 copy of the photo under Copies change this to 1

    7. now you can go ahead and select print (remember under the parameter to select the right printer tray)

You are now able to print the smaller picture on paper photo 4 x 6 size the correct status bar? I look forward to hearing from you, fingers crossed

  • Size of the photos that I download from my camera

I don't know how to set the size of the photos that I download from my camera to a regular size. When I download now, they are huge and too big for my screen. I am visually impaired and my settings have been modified to account for this, but I have no idea how to do for a change of the size of the photos that I download. Any suggestions?

There is no setting for the pictures in your camera. You must manually resize. It is one of the many freeware tools that will do it. You can resize a single photo or multiple photos in a few mouse clicks. Fast & easy.

  • Use LR5. Because of volume and the size of the photos, I use an external hard drive. When opening LR5 it references only the local hard disk. How can I change the refernce to read the external drive. Thank you

Use LR5, due to volume and the size of the photos, I use an external hard drive. LR refers only the Local Drive C not outside. Where do I change this by LR read the external drive. Grateful for the help.

    Thank you

LR is not a file Explorer. He knows only the disks that you imported photos of.

If you have previously imported these photos, then later moved into the external hard drive, go to the library files and "update location" Panel on the files that you moved.

If you have never imported these images on the external hard drive, perform an import by using the option 'Add' (not ' copy') to keep the images on the external hard drive during import.

I deleted about one third of my images from my library of Photos (Yes, I went to the "Recently deleted" and clicked on "Delete All") but his 45 GB in size was not afraid significantly at all.

Is there a hidden method or even the third parties who may release and utilities compact the photo library?

Is your photo library a library iCloud with optimization of the storage activated?

In this case, you don't have much control over the storage you use.

Just to be sure - if you remove photos from albums, did you remove it using 'delete album' or 'remove... photos "?

The key to delete only delete album - pressing command + delete will delete the library.

And if your photo library is a migrated iPhoto library or an Aperture, the storage library won't be released, if you delete the photos in both libraries, because the photos in both libraries are connected by hard links.

  • Change the size of the photo to print

I want to increase the size of the picture "contact sheet" when I print it, but photo library offers no way to do it.  Is there a way I can print a page of the contact to a specific size sheet prints?  Prints must be

1 3/8 "x 2", but the Photo Gallery does not offer this size. "

    Hi Eeloie,

The photo of the contact sheet cannot be resized using Windows Photo Gallery.

Windows Photo Gallery doesn't have an option to resize the pictures. However, you can use Windows Live Photo Gallery to resize photos. To do this, he must first install the Windows Live Photo Gallery.

Visit the following Web site to download Windows Live Photo Gallery and install successfully: http://download.live.com/photogallery

Once the program is installed, you can follow these steps to resize a photo.
    1. Select the photo you want to resize, and then, on the file menu, click on resize.
    2. in the dialog box size, select the size you want to make the picture.
    3. click on resize and save.

    I hope this helps.

  • image sizes for the photo and moodboards clipping masks

    Hello

I place images/photos to the web and Pinterest on my plans to work in Illustrator for both mood/inspiration cards as well to use with clipping masks.

Should I adjust the size of the image files in photoshop before placing them so that my illustrator file does not become too large?

Or can I use object > rasterize > and choose the resolution/ppi to do the same thing?

    Thank you

Of course, you must define your own strategies for these questions according to your needs. Sure raster image data, excess will swell your files unnecessarily, but according to the availability of extra storage space in your computing environment and your ultimate output intent, may not be worth the extra time and effort for the goal-size things in Photoshop before placement. Only you can decide that priority. If the images are 'of the web and Pinterest', chances are, they are already low-resolution, and you would not shave number of bytes out of them anyway.

Or can I use object > rasterize > and choose the resolution/ppi to do the same thing?

N ° which is designed for elements vector rasterize at your chosen resolution. It will not change the resolution to something that is already rasterized.

    This theme has some information:

    http://www.learn.USA.Canon.com/resources/articles/2011/eos_qt_small_raw_images_article.SHT ml

FIRST small (sRAW) is just a "behind closed doors" reduced low resolution RAW image file, similar to what was previously only available with the JPEG file format. sRAW offers the advantages of RAW file format when you do not need full resolution of the camera, to keep the file size more small or you want to increase the number of photos you can shoot high speed "mode of the continuous drive. They take less space on your disk system hard.
