I upgraded my computer to Vista 32 bit to Windows 7 32-bit and after completing the process of leveling I noticed that Windows Update has executed and display 70 + updates, but none had been installed. I restarted the computer, Windows Update ran again and again he scored 70 + updates, but whenever I tried to install them, he would be stuck on preparing to install...

By the process of elimination, I was able to install all the updates except the one. The culprit is "Update for Windows 7 (KB2347290) security". I can't get my system to load this update. Whenever I select what he just stuck to the preparation of the installation...

I tried a clean boot and that did not help.

I solved the problem. I went to the link for the update security and follow links to the real download where I chose and installed correctly. It uses an interface of different installation of Windows Update then maybe it was the turn.

If you want Office 2007 updates to appear in the installed updates again, you would need to uninstall/reinstall Office 2007 and install all the updates again.

Assuming that Office 2007 is installed & working properly and no update is offered when you run a manual check for updates now, you might want to leave enough alone (that is, do nothing) - then see if the 2 updates for Office 2007 SP3 be released next Tuesday (a) receive, (b) successfully install and (c) are listed in the installed updates later.

PS: The possible causes of the problem are messing with registry cleaners, messing around with the Software Distribution folder, and the fact that it was a computer refurbished when you bought it.

    Hi B_Tan,

Please take a look at the following information previously published by TaurArian:

Some have reported that simply re-register the MSXML3. DLL seems to fix the problem.
    1. click on start.
    2. choose Execute.
    3. in the run box, type: regsvr32 MSXML3. DLL
    Press OK

If this did not help, you may be re-recorded some files more:

    Hi Ron68PB,

    1. you remember to make changes to the computer before this problem?

2 are you able to open other programs?

    3. do you get error messages or error codes?

    Method 1:

You try to run a SFC scan to check the corrupted system files.

You can read the following article to launch the SFC scan:

How to use the System File Checker tool to fix the system files missing or corrupted on Windows Vista or Windows 7

    Method 2:

Alternatively, you can try to check if the problem occurs in safe mode.
