Optimum setting STP

Hello

I want to ask you what type of Setup you prefer for situation see in the picture?

The routers are connected to the Vlan2, downlink ports are 1gig trunk or access ports in vlan 2 but they are protected.

The depth of the switches is up to 5.

The topology is star!

You can favorite priority switch som? Or leave everything in suffering?

Thanx

BR

Dave

Edge of Type point-to-point: it comes to portfast, any PC, printers, phones, etc directly connected devices you want remote PLEASE computation when a TCN change occurs, to speed up convergence in L2

If the connections between the switches that you can use trunk or access depending on if there are several VLANs don't really matter, just do not use portfast on the trunk of a link never unless it is a switch to a SAN server, never between switches

If you have a HUB on your network I would remove it

PortFast must be used in devices in association with bdpuguard for best practices and edge according to Cisco

If I put in wifi calling in the settings, the phone automatically happens between Verizon and wifi according to the intensity of the signal or what I need to move from a regular appeal and appeal of wifi in the settings for each phone call? In other words, can I leave just the wifi call set to 'on' all the optimum setting of the time?

    I remember this thread...
  • Win7 fails during the upgrade of a Phenom II X 2 a X 4

I am running Windows 7 64 bit on a card mother Biostar TA790GX A3 + AM3. I have been running a Phenom II X 2 555 CPU and want to switch to a X 4 965 processor but I can't get Windows 7 to boot when I swap the processors. Both processors are supported by the motherboard and both processors work fine when they work the FRIEND bios routines or control program memory but the motherboard restart when loading Windows 7, usually just after I get my user name and press ENTER.

The only thing I replaced is the CPU. I tried to reset using the reset ROM bios jumpers, I set the bios to the OPTIMUM setting, and I've tinkered with most of the bios settings, trying to get Windows 7 to go past the login screen.

This is a security feature to prevent me from moving my copy of system builder OEM of Windows from one computer to another? Is there a work around? I have to call Microsoft? Is there a phone number?

Well, after having played with a number of commands that have been listed on this website as possible solutions to get a Windows 7 system to start again, I have finally given and decided to do a new install.

My machine had worked for two years with Windows XP and it had worked for 6 months with Windows 7 32 bit. It worked for 2 months after I upgraded to Windows 7 64 bit. Then I swapped the AMD processor 2 955 X for an AMD X processor 4 965.

I ran SFC SCANNOW and BOOTREC and I returned my system to the last known good configuration, but I couldn't get my machine to stop crashing to 7 seconds (sometimes 14) after windows login screen appears. After losing a few days I look at Windows 7 boot and planting in an endless loop, I decided to buy a new hard drive and do a fresh install. One of the best solutions is to use MSCONFIG command line program in Win7 to tell Windows to run my CPU upgrade as a processor X 2 or X 3 X 4. This seemed to solve all the problems with Win 7 crash.

I had a copy of Windows XP for this machine on a hard drive. When I plugged in SATA cables and tried to boot Windows XP with X 4 CPU it initialized right to the top and ran for two days. So, it was not the CPU.

After a good amount of lost time, I could not have my win7 64 bit system starts so I bought a new hard drive and installed Windows 7 64 bit from scratch. This configuration had no problem for a few days until Windows 7 has started to download UPDATES. It downloaded and installed updates 93 both and rebooted fine. A while later you download 4 updates more. I stopped the machine and started it again and it went into his routine update of files. He said that he applied for 1 of 4 updates. On the second or the third update, he got 32 percent and the judgment. It does three or four times, whenever it came with the F8 boot screen which gives you the opportunity to start with minimum windows. I chose the one with networking. As it starts in this environment, he said that updates had failed and that he would come BACK. HE arrested 3 or 4 times saying it was files back. Finally he started and gave me a login screen. I connected and made a few things, so I closed my computer to see if it would start. He repeats the four files Windows Update reboots, then I went into the minimum windows with networking, he gave me the screen back again, and then he crossed four recovery restart.

I decided to document the process here in the forum of ANSWERS.

Now when I pass my cursor on the START > SHUTDOWN button shows Windows 7 wants to "install updates day and then stop" just as he did the last two times. Each series of stops takes about half an hour to go through four cycles of updates and four cycles of returns.

Now, I'm looking for a way to prevent Windows 7 to try to apply the same 4 updates that have already failed twice.

I have not mentioned so far, but the 100 MB on my hard drive which is called RESERVE SYSTEM is also a problem, as is PROTECTION on my files. I have a directory on drive E: called IMAGES. He had thousands of photographs that have been put there under Windows 7 in the last years. Now that I can't have that Windows 7 built to start all files have a SECURITY LOCK on them. It is not a problem as a new installation of Windows 7 will allow me to break the lock, as long as I am the administrator. The problem is that I need to break the lock on each directory. Whenever there are a dozen clicks. I'm glad that Windows 7 allows me to break the locks but worth a lock if it can be so easily broken?

Now, I need to know how to CANCEL these 4 waiting for file updates that will happen automatically when I stopped.

  • The display turns off after a few minutes and shows 'No Signal'

Hey guys, I was faced with a weird problem recently. My desktop monitor turns off by itself after a few minutes, but the works of CPU, I can hear the fan running and see the lights blink. One thing I noticed, is that when the screen turns off, the light Orange on the processor rest on which flashes normally just. My PC works normally on the mode without failure, but worse, safe mode, but I can't work on my software CorelDRAW. This may be the problem of SMPS? because recently, my entries of mouse and keyboard did not work due to which I got a USB keyboard and a mouse. I recently installed Windows 7 64 bit, but I think that shouldn't cause the problem since I have worked with Windows 64-bit before on the same machine.

    PC configuration-

    Intel Core 2 Duo 4500 @ 2.20 Ghz processor
    ASUS P5QPL-AM motherboard
    3 GB RAM
No (not sure, maybe integrated) graphics card
    1 TB harddrive

PS - I couldn't find an exact category for my problem.

    Hey Archer
Currently, I formatted my Windows 7 and installed Windows 8 and am these problems persist. I have not upgraded but formatted my C drive and installed a fresh new copy of windows 8... so I thnk it may be a problem of the SMP. Can he?

    Hi sunny

It can or mentioned being SMPS... the reason is... you have already said that the computer or the monitor works fine in safe mode! But since his past even when you install Windows 8,
    To make troubleshooting a
    1. go to the Bios and reset all default by selecting the optimum setting in the bios... Given that your motherboard has got characteristic overclocking and selection of the IGD... let him get by default...  Start the computer and check if the monitor turns off always.
    2. If step 1 does not solve your problem... then go to the power option in the control panel and select your power setting of the high-performance system where you can set your monitor to never go to sleep.  See what's happening... If the monitor still going to sleep even after this setting... then you have a problem with drivers or the motherboard... try updating the drivers and see if that helps.
    3. If the update of drivers did not help... so the next option is to review your material... try to get a replacement screen and see if this could solve this problem... A things you can deduct that if this also fails, then the obvious reason is that your monitor is ok... and problem must be the motherboard.
    4. Firstly check the display port... does it feel loose?
    a. do you have this port pins come out?
    b. your motherboard has two power connections (EATXPWR 24-pin and a 4-pin ATX 12V... are both connected?
    c. your SMP should be at least 400W according to recommendations from the manufacturer to you. Check this box...
    d. then ofcourcse obviously... Reinstall the Rams and other external devices.
Follow these steps and let me know your comments for each
  • Performance issues e-commerce MDEX engine

    Hello

We migrated an existing short e commerce e-commerce site.

    Configuration:

    RAM: 24 GB

    Processor: Quad Core

MDEX engine: 2 (each with 2 individual dgraphs running on 2 different ports)

No threads: 8 wires for each dgraph

RSS of AVG: about 350 MB

Here are the questions/queries that we have

Request more expensive: about 10800 ms (Details tab)

Time Total request http: ms (Details Tab) approximately 14000 - this sometimes reached 100000 ms

    QNS:

1.Pourquoi is so huge TRT in spite of having a high configuration and MDEX optimum setting?

    2. is there a relationship between most Exp query and TRT HTTP?

    3. is there a relationship between the Total of applications received on the tab performance and count of HTTP to the server on the Details tab?

    4. is there a way to improve the performance of this system and to reduce the length of the HTTP request?

There are a couple of tests that you can run to determine if the cause is network latency or the MDEX server capacity.

Before you start, check the number of cores on your server MDEX. Use a single on each server MDEX Dgraph. And the Dgraph in use does not exceed the number of cores available on the server.

Use the Analyzer log request (available with the Platform Services) to analyze newspapers Dgraph.

    1. Claire on newspapers Dgraph. You can use "admin? op = close"to do it quickly.
    2. Run the test load as before from the front-end server.
    3. Capture the Dgraph1 Dgraph1.reqlog.
    4. Run the reqloganalyzer on this log file.
    5. Compare the time MDEX engine only treatment for Round Trip Total response time in the journal analytical results. If the difference between the two measurements is very high, it may be a network issue then.

Then, you can exit the latency of the network of the equation and rerun the test.

    1. Analyze the reqlog captured in the previous test using the Request Log Analyzer.
    2. Claire on Dgraph1 newspapers.
    3. Use Eneperf on the MDEX server and log file analysis to run a load test on Dgraph1.
    4. Capture the Dgraph1.reqlog and run reqloganalyzer on this log file.
    5. Check the time MDEX only engine treatment and response time of Round Trip Total again in the journal analytical results.

I hope that this helps identify the root cause. Let us know how it goes.

  • Cannot reduce the size of previews.lrdata

    Hi all

My Previews.lrdata folder is 45 GB. On a 500 GB SSD (end 2013 15 "MacBook Pro retina), it is a reasonable piece.

So I went through and used the menu option "ignore surveys 1:1..." in all the pictures that I do not expect to change again. Somewhat to my surprise, the Previews.lrdata folder did not file size of 1 byte. I used the option "optimize catalog", but that doesn't seem to do anything either.

I prefer not to empty the cache of the preview while suppressing the Previews.lrdata, regarding the last pictures I've not edited and yet I enjoyed having to previews pre-rendered 1:1.

I don't expect too much here? Should not be a relationship between throw me 1:1 previews and a reduction in the size of the Previews.lrdata folder?

    Thank you

So if I reduce the size of the standard preview for the screen resolution below, then Lightroom uses only brief (down-scales) 1:1...

    That is right.

    ntompson wrote:

What are the downsides to this?

No - your standard previews have been set too high before.

    ntompson wrote:

Why have a standard preview at all?

For reasons of performance - faster to enter/resize some smaller if he wants to.

    ntompson wrote:

Would I better off put the standard preview to the smallest possible size?

Lol if you do this, then Lr re - will make a brief 1:1 for fit view, even if a standard preview was already available (because it would be too small). Certainly, if the 1:1 Preview is already available, it wouldn't need the re - make, but if you are when they expire, it may not be available, and despite this, it takes more time to load/resize a larger and a smaller preview.

    ntompson wrote:

When I do the standard preview size change in Lightroom, then does invalidate all standard previews in my catalog? Does crank through and to regenerate all the standard previews to the new size?

No and no (but in my opinion, the user should be prompted to see if he/she would like to rebuild so size or quality changes).

In many cases, the difference over having a frame is too small or too large a framework, will be almost (or totally) without consequence. To be honest, I'm surprised that adobe exposed this option to the user, since most users have any idea what optimum setting should be. If I were Adobe, I suppose that Lr/hand-UI would be on the bigger screen and automatically size previews accordingly. Often when I mention this, people point out that the same catalog can also be used on a laptop, review how would be more optimal, and there are other considerations double monitor.., but hey - whatever...

PS - Lightroom creates different preview (up to) 7 sizes: from 1:1 to little thumb. When he creates a large preview (1:1 or standard), he created all the smaller previews also, in halfening size. It is very fast, and no doubt explains the reason why it will not throw a 1:1 if next (standard) would be more than half it's size (it's actually only create 6 previews in this case: 1:1 through thumb, there is no big standard preview size you specified in this case) (, or if you prefer another way of seeing things: the preview of 1:1 is your largest standard preview).

If you want to better understand what is stored for previews, you can play with the PreviewExporter plugin I wrote (free) - it allows you to specify at what level (1-7) to preview you want to export, and if you enable verbose logging will provide info on what was available, and what level of preview has been exported. Here is an excerpt of "post-process action" (export filter) UI:

    See you soon,.

After the process described above, noted that State record wf_bpel_qtab is 0 and there is no value in waiting times. On the other hand, according to AQ$ WF_BPEL_QTAB, for the same message that the State is treated and dequeue time is met.

    1. why there is difference of data AQ$ TableName and TableName queue
    2. is there any process to ensure that data queued TableName and AQ$ TableName are synchronized
    3. when the data will be deleted from the TableName queue? Currently, the retention of the queue value is 0.

    Thank you.

    Hello

    In response:

    * 1. Why there is difference of data AQ$ TableName and queue TableName. *
The queue_table_name of $ aq is a VIEW based on the QUEUE_TABLE and join other objects queue, you should not query the table of the queue directly because the values here are open to interpretation, until you link them with other available data, so why oracle creates the AQ$ views that you can use.

    * 2. Is there any process to ensure that data queued TableName and AQ$ TableName are in sync *.
You do not need to "synchronize" a data views with its table, a view is simply a stored SQL statement so when selected you get the data from the table right now.

    * 3. When the data will be deleted from the TableName queue? Currently, the retention of the queue value is 0.*
The PROCESSED data are removed by background qmon processes when all the messages in the initial queue have been processed, for example if you have multiple subscribers etc. must all were treated to be eligible for deletion, background qmon processes depend on the database parameter aq_tm_processes - the optimum setting for which is oracle version dependent.

    I hope this helps.

  • Network error message

    Hello All-

I get error 1042013 & network 1042012 during the execution of a calc script thorugh MAXL. I would like to mention this error when the MAXL tries to run a script of aggregation which lasted about 30 minutes. I have seen the error

message from reference to Essbase and I updated Net delay 60000 & Net Retry Count to 3000 in the configuration file.

Earlier in the configuration file there is no present values for these two and while to implement maxl he can take the default value for Net delay & Net Retry Count.

I don't get this error whenever I run the maxl but sometimes.

Can someone let me know if I put the values as shown above for Net delay & Net Retry Count, which will hurt the performance of the system in any ways?

Are there other factors that I could find when I come up with this error?

How can decide us the optimum setting of the Net delay & Net Retry Count?

    Please advise!

    Thank you!

    EMM is a sparse dimension

    EMM is stored member.

Two of his children are dynamic Calc.

It is not a good idea to have children who are dynamic cal when the parent is being stored. This is probably your problem. If other members below these dynamic members calc are as dynamic calc, then I would say that it is almost certainly your problem.

Why the EMM_TotRe and EMM_TotSG dynamic calc?

Have them stored, as well as other members below them who are dynamic calc and your problem will most likely disappear. Your time calc could go up, but I can't that assume these members were calc dynamic in order to optimize the database, and it was not a good approach.

Otherwise do EMM dynamic Calc. If you have registered in EMM rates, you should change this. In general, it is not advisable to load data to senior level members. Create a member called EMM_Rates and move rates to that Member. Make a level 0 Member that rolls in EMM. You probably need to change certain forms of entry, but at the end of the day, need to realize that what you have now is not properly configured.

  • Satellite A300 - XP SP3: how to set external display, resolution 1280 x 960

    Hello world

I installed the latest display driver for Mobility Radeon HD 3650, but I can't understand how to set the Resolution for my external monitor at 1280 x 960 (85 Hz) - the original driver of non - Mobility Radeon ATI does not have this option.

In addition, my A300 does not remember the setting of brightness with FN + F6 / F7.
After windows restarts, it is once again the most.

    Any ideas / suggestions?

    Thanks in advance,

    Manulu

    Hello

The availability of the external screen resolution depends on the installed graphics driver and the graphics card itself. If the two parties n t support this external display (1280 x 960) resolution, then you will not be able to choose!
See the user manual for this if the GPU provides support for this resolution of the external display (1280 x 960).

    Regarding the brightness setting:
If the laptop is connected to the adapter, the brightness of the display will return to the optimum brightness. But you can manage these display settings in power management.
There, you can create a profile for certain situations, for example when the laptop works with the energy of the battery only
In this power profile, you can assign different levels of display brightness.

After said that from the safe mode screen (not optimum mode recommended 1280 104 60 h)

    Help me solve this problem.

    Thank you

It is not a Windows problem.  It is a problem with your monitor.

Your screen has a maximum resolution... maybe note 1280 x 960 with a 60 Hz refresh.  When you start mode without fail, the resolution of the video card is forced into a mode that will support virtually any monitor (640 x 480)?.  This is done to allow recovery in case you accidentally set your screen resolution to something that is not supported and you end up with a white screen.  When your monitor detects this less-than-optimal resolution from your computer, he takes it upon himself to post a notice on the screen informing you that you will get a better screen if you adjust the display resolution on your computer to match your monitor.  Maybe it's not possible in Mode without failure, then look at your manual of the monitor and the settings to see if there is a way to disable the warning message.

  • XP paging file: location Optimum of performance?

The swap file.  Few people understand this, including me.  I thought I would post some queries is that the performance of the hard drive therefore changed radically in the past because of disks SSD (SSD).

Optimum size: currently the size by default is the same as the amount of ram I (2 GB 800 mhz DDR2).  This is the best?

Location: if I use a SSD (not a high-performance one), or on C with the operating system on another harddrive even if slower sound (7200 RPM Sata)?

Best performance: what about using separate SSD just for the pagefile?  How did benefit things?

RAM disk: is it possible to put the pagefile on a ram drive?  (I know nothing about ram disks except that they are supposed to be very fast).

Youre best bet is to 'let system set it up', however, this is only a partial-
