Option "Tabs on other computers" in history is turned off, even if I sync to install correctly.

I had my sync Setup on my ubuntu at home and windows at the office and check the options tab to be true, but when I opened my FF at the Office I open the menu browser tabs "on other computers" are disabled does not allow me to see the tabs in my pc at home.
Also settings synchronized when I change the name of the machine is not getting saved.

Ah, you can be on the developer Edition. When I tried this, the account which has already existed only started to sync after that I added the account.

Please try this:
Delete the account and log on to accounts.firefox.com. That jump has to start the synchronization.

If this does not work, I would be happy to fill out a bug report.

  • Reformat a hard drive, but it still appears in "Tabs on other computers." How can I remove it?

Recently, I reformatted the hard drive in a PC and do not break the link of the account synchronization before doing so. The machine continues to be present when I pull down the menu option "Tabs from other computers"., even if I have not installed Firefox hard disk cool. How do I remove it from the list?

    Hello!

Unfortunately it is not possible at this stage. If something bothers you, next time you format a drive hard or generally remove a device from this point of view you should "untie this device" tab sync in the Preferences window.

Because you cannot return to this specific Firefox profile, you can't do it, but don't worry, it will disappear eventually (the servers store information for ever).

If you really want to remove it, you need to reset the account and reconnect all devices. To do this, you need to reset the recovery key and set up the account on your computer again. This is the process that we recommend when a device is lost. Make sure that you have a backup of your information before starting the: replace your synchronized data

And for information about how to back up your profile, follow this link: back up and restore the information contained in the profiles of Firefox

    I hope it helps.

  • open tabs on other computers

    Dear Sirs ladies c.q.,.

    After you set up sync on multiple computers, all using Firefox 4.01, I get a screen showing;
"Your open tabs are available in the menu background. You can also open them via the option "Tabs from other computers" in the menu from the list of the tab bar tab. »

However, I can't find the 'list tab menu' on my tab bar. I would be grateful if you could direct me to it.

    Thanks, Jos

  • Tabs on other computers does not appear in history (FF4)

In the new FireFox 4 Fox sync is built in. I have everything set up and sync my history and everything, but tabs on other computers does not appear in the history with the orange button at the top left.

It appears only when you have the menu bar displayed under history. This should really be added to the default menu.

Sorry if this is the wrong section or the bad way to suggest/request this. I was going back and forth on putting this in the timing of the fox or the desktop section and even suggestions for future versions. It is a suggestion and question, cause it may be something hidden to get (as clicking and now the back button).

    I had this problem too.

However, here, next to your tabs you should have a little down arrow icon. Click on it and there is an option named "tabs on other computers.

Can you give us some details? When this message display? Is in your phone or your computer? What is your language? More information you can give us the best.

You use the add-on and Firefox 4? If so, I'll ask you to disable and remove the add-on: Sync is now part of the Firefox browser and you don't need the add-on. [https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=644894 some users solved this problem by uninstalling the add-on.]

  • How can I stop my tabs app to disappear whenever I have turn off my computer?

My app tabs disappear each time I have to restart or shut down my computer in Mac OS X. I don't have this problem in windows. I looked through the support of countless times, and no, my problem isn't that I "clear history" checked in my preferences.

Just a side note, I was really excited for Firefox 4. Seemed really cool and was very fast. This tab app was my favorite new feature, and I am very disappointed that it does not work as it should. And until this problem is fixed in Mozilla, I'm going back to Google Chrome.

App tabs and groups of tabs (Panorama) are stored in session data in the sessionstore.js file in the Firefox profile folder

There may be a problem with the sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak files in the profile folder

Delete sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the profile folder

If you see files sessionstore-# .js with a number in the left part of the name as sessionstore - 1.js then delete those as well.

You will have to redo the App Tabs and tab groups after delete sessionstore.js.

  • Alienware 13 - no option of configuration of the key touch - cannot turn off the tap to click.

Just got my Alienware 13. Like all cell phones, it comes with tap to click enabled on the touchpad, I hate. There is no Synaptics control panel where I can change my settings, and the Alienware 13 does not appear to be the "Alien Touch" application, so I don't have a way to disable the behavior of tap to click.

When I look in Device Manager, I see two entries "HID-compliant mouse" and a "PS/2 compatible mouse", and all three use Microsoft drivers; not the driver of the Synaptic touchpad.

How can I get the ability to change the settings of my touchpad?

Thanks for the reply. My computer doesn't have icons or panels of control for the touchpad anywhere in Windows 8 desktop environment - even after installing synaptic drivers from Dell Alienware 13 downloads page.

I have concluded that my laptop doesn't have the same microcontroller touchpad that seem more other 13 s Alienware. Maybe it's a recent change on motherboards? I even don't think that it is a part of Synaptics at this stage.

In any case, I finally able to disable tap-to-click using an OS device that is only available in the environment of Windows 8 'Modern/Metro". I have documented my solution here.

  • When I check "you sign out all other computers or devices", what exactly does?

I managed to have more than two Mac want to use my CC Apps.

One of them is a MacBook, I borrowed some time ago (when my good old MacBook was stolen) to continue to work, the other is my iMac, and the third is my new MacBook Pro I am setting up right now.

As I don't have easy access to this borrowed MacBook more, I thought "you sign out all other computers or devices" is the ability to get rid of unnecessary activations and start all over again. In this way, I think that I can activate all my apps on my new MacBook Pro and once again on my iMac.

But how it works? He really disable CC on all devices?

Or what I need to "manually" disable on this MacBook borrowed in any case.

Only disable it on my iMac is not an option, because I (want to be able to) constantly switch between my iMac and my new MacBook Pro. Disable and re-enable are much too heavy.

    Bottom line:

"You sign out all other computers or devices" really turns off all devices (even if you don't have access to it) and start with a clean slate?

    Yes.

I use usually when you go on vacation and from my laptop (usually at the airport for some work) when I know I forgot to turn off on my home or office computer before leaving.  I get disconnected from my home computer and office and I am able to use my laptop on my trip.

When I go home, I start one of my home/office computers and do the same (this time of disconnection from my laptop because I forgot to do upon his return from vacation).

  • After have updated to the latest Firefox, uninstall of synchronization and synchronize via my account, computer not will bring up tabs of synchronized computers.

I followed all the steps to upgrade to the latest version of Firefox, uninstall the synchronization of the former (which never worked anyway) and create a Firefox account to install new synchronization. Synchronize Firefox tab as synchronized computers, but even after the computer restarts, it does not bring the tabs in the browser from another computer. Both have all the boxes ticked on sync.
A computer has XP, my laptop has Win7.

The list of tabs on other computers located in the drop-down list in the history.
The history button is in the '3-bar' drop-down list in the Firefox menu button.

Everything is marked to be synchronized.
Everything is synchronized correctly but the tabs.

    Hello!

Yes, this is the expected behavior. You can see the tabs on other computers in the history menu.

The toolbars are still on display in your browser?

If you still have the address bar, right click on any part that is not a text box or the icon, or if you do not like that of any space right click on the three horizontal lines on the right side of the address bar window. This should show some options, click on 'Menu Bar' and the tabs you are missing should appear.

As a side note, usually if these options are missing, your icon of firefox in the upper left corner of the window should look different (being a rectangular button itself as opposed to an icon), and the 'file', 'Edition', 'Bookmarks', etc., are found after clicking on this button.

    Hope that helps.

  • Sync doesn't show tab by other devices

I have two computers running Windows 8.1 FF 26: at work and at home. Both are synchronized, however, whenever I want to see the tabs on the other computer (history - tabs from other devices), all I see is a blank tab. sync the two settings are to synchronize everything (tabs option checked).

Is this a bug, or is there anything else I should do to see the remote tabs?

Try creating a new profile as a test to check whether your profile is the source of the problems.

    See "create a profile":

If the new profile works then you can transfer files from a profile in the new profile, but be careful not to copy files corrupted to avoid transporting on the problem.

Start the computer in Mode safe mode with network support Windows (on the startup screen, press F8) as a test to see if that helps.

How can I configure Messenger to record my conversations, record them and send them to a location I can read and save when you use Messenger on other computers than mine?

    original title: Live Messenger

    Hi Nicoliani,

To start saving your Conversations in Windows Live Messenger

    1. connect to your window Live Messenger and click on 'Tools' or click on your display name.

    2. scroll down to "Options", a window should appear. When he does very well and click on "Messages".

    4. below that you will see "save my conversations in this folder."

    5. to side of her you will see change, make sure that it is a file that you can access and watch later.

    6. If you are on a network, you can save it in a directory which you have access, or you can save it to a location and later mailed to yourself and access it later.

Where chats are saved is given below.

    1. to access the Conversations go to the start bar and click My Documents. Then click on "my received files."

    2. There should be a folder with your name on it. Click the folder, then you will be in another folder called history. Continue

    3. by clicking on the folder, now you should see all your saved conversations.

  • Cannot see other computers on my workgroup

I wiped my computer "arizonahp" and did a fresh install of Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit.  Everything works fine except that it cannot see other computers on my working group (all current running xp) and they know more see 'arizonahp '.  I clear my name of working group "yorklan" in my computer.  Previously, arizonahp was a vista machine and he could see and be seen.

    What could be the problem?
    Thank you
    Gary .net developer

Problems sharing files between computers on a network are usually caused by 1) a misconfigured firewall or a firewall neglected (including a dynamic firewall in a virtual private network); or (2) inadvertently run two firewalls such as the firewall of Windows and a third-party firewall. and/or (3) do not have accounts to the same users and passwords on all computers in the workgroup. (4) tries to create actions where the operating system does not.

In Windows 7, go to control panel > everything in Control Panel > network and sharing Center. Click on "change the advanced sharing settings. You don't want to use the residential group unless you have all Windows 7 machines. If you do and you want to use the homegroup, see Windows 7 Help & Support. Otherwise, in sharing advanced:

Discovery of plug in the network
Open the files and printers sharing
Turn on the sharing section Public folder sharing
    Plug the password protected sharing

    A. configure the firewall on all machines to allow traffic to local area network (LAN) as being approved. With the Windows Firewall, running on Windows 7 sharing files and printer as above will take care of this for you. If you are not running a third-party firewall or you have an antivirus/security with its own firewall component program, then you're fine.  With a third-party firewall, I usually set up the allocation of LAN with an IP address range. E.g. would be 192.168.1.0 - 192.168.1.254. Obviously you would substitute your correct subnet. Refer to the safety of any third party program or the user forums for how to correctly configure its firewall. Do not run more than one firewall. DON'T STOP FIREWALLS; CONFIGURE THEM CORRECTLY.

    (B) to facilitate the Organization, put all computers in the same workgroup. This is done from the System applet in Control Panel, the computer name tab.

    C. create the counterpart of the user accounts and passwords on all machines. You do not need to be logged into the same account on all machines and assigned to each user account passwords can be different; accounts/passwords just need to exist and to match on all machines. DO NOT NEGLECT TO CREATE PASSWORDS, EVEN IF ONLY OF SIMPLE. If you want a machine to boot directly to the desktop (a particular user account) for convenience, you can do this:

Start > Search box > type: netplwiz [Enter]
Click continue (or provide an administrator password) when you are prompted by UAC

Uncheck "users must enter a user name and password to use this computer". Select a user account to connect automatically by clicking on the account you want to highlight and press OK. Enter the password for this user account (when it exists) when you are prompted. Leave blank if there is no password (null).

    D. Si one or more of the computers on your network are XP Pro or Media Center, turn off Simple file sharing (Folder Options > view tab).

    E. create share as you wish. In Windows 7 I usually share the Desktop of the user and the Public directory. MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!
