Options-> privacy-> Cookies Exceptions Block list / green suddenly empty

I had a very long list of exceptions, and now they are all gone. I restarted the computer a couple of times and they have always gone.

No idea what may have caused this, and if it is possible to get them back?

Please notify.

Thanks in advance.

You must return to the hand, unless you can restore an earlier copy of the file permissions.sqlite.

You can try to restore a previous version of the file permissions.sqlite.

For some sites that I visit on a daily basis, it's a pain to have to sign in each time. (e.g., Zap2it, which provides TV listings in your area). However, I like defining the Tools/Options/life private to keep all cookies until I close Firefox. I wish I could set up Firefox so that all witnesses would be removed EXCEPT those to which I have. If I could do this, I don't have to log in each time.

You cannot use Delete browsing, search and download history on Firefox if you want to keep specific cookies by setting an exception.
"Clear recent history" is all or nothing.

You can leave the cookies expire if you close Firefox if you need to keep specific cookies.

    Thank you.

Try Firefox SafeMode to see how it works there.

A way of solving problems, which disables most of the modules.

(If you use it, switch to the default theme).

    • You can open the Firefox 4, 5, 6, 7 SafeMode pressing the SHIFT key when you use the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
    • Or use the Help menu option, click restart with the disabled... modules while Firefox is running.

Do not choose anything at the moment, just use 'continue in safe mode.

To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before using the shortcut of Firefox (without the Shift key) to open it again.

If it's good in Firefox SafeMode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to understand that one.

  • Cookie exceptions list not preserved/applied for use in private browsing mode.

I prefer to use private browsing, but were not able to as cookie exceptions are not retained, who disappears from the privacy settings when Fx closes.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance).

    • Do NOT click on the reset button on the start safe mode window or make changes.

In case you use "clear history of Firefox closing:

    • do not delete Cookies
    • do not delete Site preferences

Note that compensation "Preferences of Site" clears all exceptions for cookies, images, windows pop up, installation of software and passwords.

  • 'Clear recent history... ". "erases cookies and! Cookies exceptions list even if the box of cookies is not checked

By clicking on "clear recent history...» "erase all cookies and worse still the cookies exceptions list even if the box of cookies is not checked.

Restart Firefox and restart of the operating system, the problem persists.

The exceptions are part of the "Site preferences".
Make sure that you do not remove the navigation, search and download history on Firefox to erase "Cookies" and the "Site preferences".
You must allow exceptionally for the cookies you want to keep.

  • I have CSA that blocks some unfamiliar cookies, I block and unblocks of Firefox, how can I stop this

I run a scan of the system with Advanced System Care and it shows that the potentially bad cookeies are not blocked. I block and then open et seq. they staty blocked until I have stop FF and reboot. Anyway to keep this list in memory of FF?

Generally, there is no need to worry about cookies can only contain text.

In case you use "clear history of Firefox closing:

    • do not delete Site preferences

Compensation of the "Site Preferences" clears all exceptions for cookies, images, pop-up windows, installation of software, passwords, and other specific data from Web site.

Deletion of cookies will delete all specified (selected) cookies, including cookies with an exception allowing you want to keep.

  • The semantics of cookie exceptions did not alter 38 FF?

I put my cookie options to always accept the first part only and stay until the end of the session. Obviously, biscuits to evaporate when FF is restarted, and that's what I want. I don't want this behavior substituted for some sites. For example, I want to keep the cookies from sites in google.com, accounts.google.com in particular. Up to 38 FF (I think - behavior broke pretty recently), I got an exception for google.com to allow cookies (see: preferences #privacy). The parameter allow implied that cookies were not deleted at end of session (there are also allow to exceprtion Session).

This is not true. Even if I added an exception for google.com and accounts.google.com, and I can actually confirm that these sites have added witnesses after I connect, these cookies disappear when I restart FF.

Has something changed in the treatment of exceptions of cookie? Is it just a bug? Known bug? Or, if this is a feature, y at - it an option to revert to the previous behavior in?

Let the cookies expire when you close Firefox or you use 'Clear history of Firefox closing' to clear cookies?

The latter removes all cookies that allow an exception.

If you use 'Clear history of Firefox closing' to clear Cookies can exclude cookies and instead of letting the cookies expire when you close Firefox to make the session cookies.

    • Firefox/tools > Options > privacy > "Use the custom settings for history" > Cookies: keep until: "closing of Firefox".

Create an exception to "allow" cookie for the cookies you want to keep.

    • Firefox/tools > Options > privacy > "Use the custom settings for history" > Cookies: Exceptions
    • Compensation of the "Site Preferences" clears all exceptions for cookies, images, pop-up windows, installation of software, passwords, and other specific data from Web site.
    • Deletion of cookies will delete all specified (selected) cookies, including cookies with an exception allowing you want to keep.
  • How can I quickly access the Cookie Exceptions window?

I have manually allow sites to store cookies on my computer, but to do that, I have to go to:

I found this chrome: / / link (chrome://browser/content/preferences/permissions.xul), but it does not work like the chrome: / / link to Cookies (chrome://browser/content/preferences/cookies.xul).

Is there an any shortcut to the Cookie Exceptions I can transform a bookmark or a simple add-on?

Firefox 6, released (August 16), will soon be the topic: the permissions page to manage all the field en permissions in the current tab.

Simpler is usually to click the button of the Site identity button and use more information > View Cookies or access the permissions tab.

    - enabled cookies

Problem remains. Available with chrome, but Chrome is twitchy on Wordpress.org. Need back to Firefox. Any suggestion is welcome.

You can delete all data stored in Firefox with a specific area through "Forget this Site" in the context menu of a history entry ("" history > view history "or" view > sidebar > History "") or via the subject: permissions page.

Using "Forget this Site" will delete all data stored in Firefox in this area as bookmarks, cookies, words of past, cache, history, and exceptions, so be careful and if you have a password or other data from that domain you don't want to lose then check that back up these data or make a comment.

You can't recover from this "forget" unless you have a backup of the files involved.

It has no lasting effect, so if come back you on such a 'forgotten' site, then the data of this Web site will be saved once more.

  • No there is no way to simply remove realplayer from the blocked list?

... My question is someone disabled the realplayer extension / addon /.
plug for a godless reasoning due to a block list.

I'm here swear a blue streak with this choice of blocking.
especially when I cant goto my "add ons" area and click on
"options / turn on / enable etc." and what you have. Everything is gray with a list of annoying block filter.

My understanding is not even apply to my version of firefox. I have realplayer here for YEARS and it has never caused me any problems.

And now because someone decides that it causes problems with firefox version regardless, they will block a list of main blocking for a reasoning? TCH.

Is there WAY of NO of realplayer simply remove this list of the said block? I know that I can go in the comments; config and disable - all - the list, I don't want to do.

Someone can't make this thing a little bit more friendly with the block list? Put some crazy checkboxes next to him so I can filter what I want.

And if someone tells me to put something or another... - Jolt-

Everything had been working just fine for me until someone started playing with the ^%$#&ing block list.

No sorry. The fastest method seems to be to go to settings > phone > blocked (or settings > Messages > blocked) and select the editing mode. You could make a suggestion to Apple that offer more options: http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html

  • I don't get an email from a user known to me. It is not in my blocked list and not in the junk e-mail folder. what technique should I use to solve this problem?

I have a known user that I have been to send/receive email from him for many years. now, I don't get the emails sent to me. If he is using my gmail account, email is sent to thunderbird, and I see the email with gmail address in my Inbox. His e-mails addressed to my sbcglobal address are not in my Inbox, or in my junk e-mail folder. I did not block lists, but I use Spam Assassin. is there a technique to solve this problem? It is the only email address that I don't get.

Connect to your sbcglobal email by using your browser and see if they are put in a spam folder before Thunderbird never the chance to see it.
