OptiPlex 330 (tour) - compatible power supplies?

I have a Dell Optiplex 330 minitower with a 305 Watt power supply. I get an absolute beast of a video soon card that exceeds the power of this power supply - unfortunately I need about 400 Watts for safety. I need to know if I need a diet that says explicitly that it is compatible with this model, or if I can get away with a standard ATX or same BTX power supply. Dell does not offer anything better than a 305 Watt power supply, unfortunately and the only model I found on Internet, which specifically mentions compatibility with the cost of my model supply almost $100. Someone at - it experience with the upgrade of power supply to the case of this model, or find out if Dell has stopped using power connectors card mother owner?

Don't know why you had a moment difficult with feeding 420 as who would take any standard ATX power supply with a 20 + 4 or 24-pin. The 8100 will be the same. Dell stopped using supplies owners a few years ago and all the newer systems like the 8100 will have standard ATX 24 pin supplies.

  • DELL OPTIPLEX 330 SATA2/3 connectors does not

I have a dell optiplex 330. According to the manual, I should be able to put 2 hard drives and 2 optical drives in this system and the hard drives must be connected to sata0 and sata1, while optical drives should be connected to 2 sata and sata 3.

I wanted to add a hard drive and I noticed that the optical drive was connected to sata1, so I moved it to sata2 while I put new hd in sata1.

Now the hard drive works fine, but the optical does not work (it has the power, but the computer can not see it).

My question: is there something else I need to do to get the sata2/3 to work or must go all together? I saw special jumpers or settings and none have been mentioned in the manual, but perhaps there is a bios thing or something?

    Thank you

    Hi Breda49

iTunes purchases (free downloads are taken for granted) are permanently linked to the Apple that was used to buy ID.

To work around this problem, you can set up sharing of family and your child. This will allow you to share all your purchases.

  • About RMA of power supplies

Historically, work section that I am part of a requested RMA for the C4500 power supplies, like 1 RMA (up to two PS) by SN chassis and never using this chassis to commit an RMA again. However, it seems strange to me, that if I committed the same RMA number, because there are chassis, I wouldn't so no chassis to commit any future this RMA.

I have the theory that section my classmates and I learned incorrectly in this area, as it seems that we could submit future RMAs on equal components of a given the chassis number of components, there, to an unspecified amount... on the assumption that all RMA is fully completed in a given event.

Is my true theory? Can reuse us SNs chassis used previously for RMA of previously received replacement devices that have more later that went wrong?

    Thanks for any help/clarification.

you're saying that thought is exact, and my classmates of the section have been wrongly taught.

No, this isn't what I meant.

Rules change (and that's what I mean).  Perhaps the method they learned were the "old school" method, but today it's different.  I RMA - ed several SFP / SFP + by using the serial number of a single chassis 6807 as a source and I have not encountered any problem.

  • Satellite A100-499 - AC adapt Compatible power more than 90W?

    Hello world

I bought a new DDR module for my Satellite A100-499 and now I have better performance but my AC adapt power is not enough.

So I'm looking for a new AC adapt power but I'm not sure which are compatible with my netbook. Now I have a 15V 6a (90W) + PA2521E-2AC3 PA-1900-22 + and I want one at least 100 w... Could someone tell me a compatible model?

Perhaps PA3237U-3ACA + Toshiba 120 Watt Global AC adapter? (power supply is compatible?)

    Hello

To be honest I don't understand the reason for this question. If you upgrade the RAM, why you want or need a new AC/DC adapter?

You can switch to the maximum capacity of RAM that is supported by your laptop model but that's why it of not necessary to use an AC/DC adapter with more power. It is * not * make your laptop faster!

  • Power supply Dell Optiplex 790 SFF cycles power on and off when it is plugged

My new to me SFF Optiplex 790 does not start - pressing power causes a switch to send amber for a few seconds, the 1 + 2 diagnostic lights shine briefly, and then the system turns off. But wait... with power plugged in, it will try to restart every 10 seconds or until I have unplug the unit.

System lasted about 30-40 minutes when I tested it, but it starts then power cycling.

Power supply passes with built-in 'green light' regardless of any internal or external devices connected. I bought a sweater 'work' PSU, no change.

Ideas for testing? System is stock, no mods or upgrades of what I see.

    Hello

This system is out of warranty period so that any replacement of parts will be payable. That's why we can help you with the replacement of the part by sending the request for quote for parts and service or, Alternatively, you can buy the part of any provider of local service from dell.

Serial number of the system also has information on the customers system so donot share it as a public message, send it out via private only message.

  • Dell OptiPlex GX520 SFF - no power indicator

I'm working on 2 LTS of the Dell OptiPlex GX520 both seem to die at the same time. Out of warranty.

When switching on the power supply the power button on the front lights up ever. No indication of power except a small indicator not clear on the motherboard turn it on when AC is applied to the power supply. I deleted every piece of hardware expect the IO, CPU, CPU fan, power supply and AC applied to the power supply with the same results. I think that the food is bad because the fan on the power supply does not light and there is no indication of power. Please let me know if anyone has any other ideas. No other power supply to test with.

Unfortunately, there is only one way to say, and it is to replace the power supply.

  • X 201 X 220-compatible power adapter?

    Hi all

I ordered a x 220 used on ebay and wonder if the charger I have for my x 201 would be compatible with x 220 as well?

If it is part of the x 220 and it is compatible, I won't have to buy a second card.

    Thanks in advance,

Moderator edit: added detail to the subject

Yes, you can. It is the same charger.
