and to check the status of the instance:
SQL > select status from v$ instance;

No luck. Journal of applied began. but I see the same error in the datagurd log fileHere's what it should look like:

My guess is that the file is not in the right place. Check the location and your ORACLE_HOME environment variable.
It should be in $ORACLE_HOME/database for windows, $ORACLE_HOME/dbs for real operating systems.

ORA-39700: database must be opened with the UPGRADE option
Hello
Let me explain the scenario.
I have the oracle with 11.2.0.2 binary. This House is shared by multiple database (around 15 of database).
Now, I must apply the PSU 5 for one of the database (allows to take the name of the test).
So I installed 11.2.0.2 new home in the same server and applied the PSU-5 for thati oracle new home.
I copied the spfile and password at home girl new oracle, associated to the TEST database. Now when I try to start the DB with option to boot he asks me to open the DB with UPGRADE option.
Why should you start the DB with upgrade option because he was running with the same version in old House as well?
I run catupgrd.sql once more?PSU patches usually do not require the database to be opened in UPGRADE mode. The obvious explanation is that the source database is not 11.2.0.2 but something lower.

ORA - 06143:connection not open

ORA - 06413:connection will not open. someone kindly help me how to solve this problem
Thank youAs I said previously that it has nothing to do with the forms. I have no idea what sqltools is, because it is not part of the installation of server developer suite or application. It is certainly the wrong place to ask. Maybe a google search sheds some light on your problem.

Palm m100 error: could not open to make the list of database
I have an old Palm m100 and never even use your handheld more. I have the software on my windows XP desktop. The program worked very well and the other day, I tried to open it and received an error message "Unable to open to make the list of database."
I did save about 30 days ago, but have since been several dates in the calendar. I don't really care "do" list, but still failed to open the program.
I thought to uninstall and then reinstall. When I go into Add/Remove Programs, I don't see the program of palm - where could I find it? I also tried to restore to an earlier date of a few days, but that has not worked. Any other ideas?
If 'do' database does not open, you can try the following to see if you can open the program.
Go to program files on drive c. find the Palm folder. In the Palm folder, find your username folder, it will be a similar name to your hotsync username. In the user name folder, find the folder tasks/todo.
Right-click and rename the folder, set a .old on the file extension. Try and open Palm desktop.
Palm desktop must be in the Add/Remove Programs list in the control panel and should be included as a Palm or Palmone.
Click on the following link for the guide of the user for your handheld.
User Guide (PDF: 2.4 MB / 212 pages)
The best way to protect your data is to export the data in each category of Palm Desktop in a separate folder on your PC.
Create a new folder on your PC somewhere that suits. Name it something like Palm Desktop data. Click on the link below and follow the instructions on this page for the export procedure.
http://www.Palm.com/cgi-bin/cso_kbURL.cgi?id=28734
Make sure you only select everything for the beach in the export window.
With the data stored in the created folder, make a copy of this file and save it on a USB key, cd - rw or external hard drive.
Whenever you change in Palm Desktop, export the data that has been changed in this file and save again to external media.
With this process you can always import the data in Palm Desktop, whenever you have a problem with the data in Palm Desktop, or if your computer/hard drive/device crash.

ORA-28575: could not open the RPC connection to the external procedure agent

We have a node RAC on Redhat 5.2 3. It works well but I find that all 3 ASM databases are not open. I guess it's OK for them is not open, but is it a bad idea to ahe that open them. I want to leave it open so that I can ask some views of the static dictionary.
Thank youThe ASM instances cannot be opened because there is no database instance - they are in a State of mounting. And you shouldn't question the views of any system except that are allowed for the ASM instances (such as v$ asmdisk etc.).

Probally you have not deleted from database M0347 of OCR and CRS was trying to start the database.
$ORACLE_HOME of database using
$ srvctl config database-d M0347
If it is saved in OCR you should remove it.
This command will delete the database.
$ srvctl remove the d M0347 database
Make sure Diskgroup is registered.
With the help of GI $ORACLE_HOME
$ srvctl config diskgroup g M0347
If registered in OCR you can remove it.

It is a 'feature' really annoying a logon trigger event is 'CONNECTION' not 'LOGON' that is to say there is a space after the opening of SESSIONChange your query to
Select * from dba_triggers, where triggering_event like 'LOGON '.
And you will find it.
See you soon,.
