Computer does not start after running the utility Boot Lenovo.
Hello
I replaced the power supply with a CX550M of Corsair, increased memory by exchanging the 4 GB to 8 GB for a 16 GB total, I added a hybrid 2 TB Seagate HDD and all worked fine until yesterday, about 1 month.
Yesterday, I decided to run all the tests of the Lenovo startup disk and after that I restarted, the computer does not start.
When I press the power button, the fan starts and it stops after 3 or 4 seconds and nothing happens, the monitor says no signal, I removed the external USB disk and printer, I reoved the second drive and the same thing heppens.
Any idea what this problem could be? Would it be a bad power supply?
Thank youMario
Resolved, I erased the memory CMOS, moved to following ankle boot, back up the cmos.
Thank you

HP2000 363NR, recently tried flashing the BIOS F.38 (here: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-116227-1&cc=us&dlc=&lc=en&o... ) to solve a problem of overheating.
Well, it was a mistake.
Now it does not start at all.
Fans spinning upwards. Hard disk rotates.
By pressing ESC, F1, F2, F9, F10 and F11 at startup to give appropriate (fast!) messages but then go to the same place:
Black screen with flashing underscore in the top left. Leave it to this screen has no effect.
Never see no text except the quick messages in the lower left (or "Press the ESC key for the system menu" down left based on nothing).
Out and the relocation of memory does not work. Boot with a DIMM module does not work. Now hold power for one minute while the battery and plug on does not work.
Battery is fully charged.
OS is Windows 7 64 bit Home Premium, came with the laptop.
Is it possible to return this BIOS?
-Me
Thanks to Xraytim in the post below, short-circuit the battery CMOS me returned to the previous BIOS. Need to remove card system as a whole to achieve this * beep * connector, but 34 screws later (34 = some # between 15 and 50), BIOS is back, problem solved.
Thanks for the forum!

T400s does not start after cleaning the keyboard
Hello. I cleaned by T400s keyboard today after a few juice reaches the keys and the laptop does not start anymore. I removed the battery and the power cord, tried to deceive the 10 times, press the power button / stop, no still no results.
Reset the CMOS does solve the problem?
At first glance it seems that the laptop is powered LED fingerprint reader is turned on, but it turns off as soon as I unplug the charger.
Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
This probably means that your keyboard is dead and need a replacement, which is pretty cheap from ebay.

After failing to find the source of reliable performance from my PC, I decided to bite the bullet and replace the motherboard, memory and the CPU. I installed a triple base 435 Athlon and a motherboard Gigabyte MA74GMT. Awarded PC again started the first time - but Windows will not, I get a number of options but none work - safe mode brings up several lines of messages on the partition of multi (0) disk (0) rdisk (0).
A previous post suggested that a similar message meant some kind of malware but if I replace the old motherboard, processor and memory Windows works very well - in fact I use it now.
Do I have an option but to reinstall Windows from a CD? Otherwise I have a problem - I can't find the installation discs for each piece of software except my Windows XP Pro! I do repair discs?
Thanks for your help.

XP pro do not start after changing the Boot.ini file
The problem is that my C: partition Windows 7D: has XP ProThese should be considered right resp. partitions 1 and 2?
I wanted to first XP pro to start the default partition.
A few days ago, I made a change to the boot.ini file. But since XP Pro was not starting at all.
I tried XP Pro to start first that the default partition.
Given that XP Pro and my D: drive have not been starting, I consulted the boot.ini file in C:, Windows 7 partition and I changed the order (i.e. partition No.) in the boot.ini file and saved it to the required location, i.e. D:/WINDOWS/pss.through my drive C: of work, i.e. the partition of Windows 7, but it still does not work because apparently even though I save here, the actual values and the paths of the partition are not actually be changed on the system. I confirmed this by going into the CMD shell switching to D: and by running the command D: > bootcfg.Apparently any values I save in the boot.ini file that I save as a text file or "All files" in D:/WINDOWS/pss/it does not actually change in the system because whenever I run the command bootfg values are remaining still and not able to be changed, because apparently it is not saved in XP Pro and the D : partition. No matter what I do and what I put in the boot.ini file to access the values through the windows 7 partition, the values that bootcfg returns me are always the same and he refuses to change the name of path or anything else. No matter what orders, I also put in bootcfg himself. These are the values that bootcfg gives me:
default: multi (0) disk (0) rdisk (0) partition (1) \WINDOWSBoot entries:
Boot entry ID: 1
Friendly name of operating system: MS Windows XP Professional
Path: multi (0) disk (0) rdisk (0) partition (1) \WINDOWS
The operating system load options: / noexecute = OPTIN/FASTDETECT/usepmtimerMy XP Pro partition is simply not booting, and it of my main partition and has all my work. It is imperative that it starts.
My Windows CD is also not start because apparently my DVD drive does not work properly, I had the anti malware threatfire (ThreatFire) installed on my XP D:Windows program disk but have uninstalled just in case it was blocking my changes to the system.
On C:Win7, I put the default operating system option in the Advanced tab for Win7 and the D:XP Pro to XP Pro, when he was the starter and work. Now I can only access my files D:XP Pro Player C:Win7. But XP is not just start. What shd - I do? Thks.
I don't have a very practical windows CD but my CD/DVD drive is not read and does not properly.
Looks like your original post stated that your cd/dvd does not work.
Respectfully, you will continue these hap hazard patches and your computer will not start at all. I'll try to help you once again. Please follow closely.
Start your computer by loading Windows 7. Click HERE and download EasyBCD. Install the software in trial version. Once installation is complete open EasyBCD. You will see an interface like the image below. Click Add a new entry.
A new screen appears as in the image below. Use the drop down menu to select Windows NT / 2 k/XP / 2 k 3 as described below. Type the name of the operating system in the box below. Of course, it will be Windows Xp (you can add the home or Pro to the name if you want). Make sure now that there is a check mark in the box "automatically detect the correct player. Once you have completed these steps click on 'add an entry '. That's all! You are finished. If all goes well, and if you have followed these steps carefully, there, now you have a system dual boot.
You can now start working on your cd/dvd problem.

Windows does not start after changing the partition with external software
Hello
I messed up and followed some bad advice. Water under the bridge, but I want to recover my bootcamp partition if possible. I've seen several messages with the right process, but decided to post hear instead of assumptions. I am running OS X El Capitan on an early 2011 MacBook Pro. My 256 GB SSD is a bit pressed and tried to be too stingy with the Boot Camp partition, so my current troubles after resizing. I have 10 Windows on the bootcamp partition.
I'm going to throw a bunch of data from my survey here.

OptiPlex 755 USFF does not start after changing the cmos battery
I have a desktop Optiplex 755 USFF requiring the cmos battery to replace. After the replacement of the computer will not start. It brings up the menu windows start, the sasfe mode, safe mode with network set mode command prompt, security, last know good configuration and boot normally. Any option will bring to the top of the WIndows XP loading screen and then re-boot of the computer right back to the start screen. A big loop. I can get the hard drive to boot in an Optiplex GX280 without problem. I was told of the motherboard needs to be replaced, but I changed the units of the system and the same thing with this hard drive.
I tried to reinstall the operating system and get all the way to "starting windows" and then the blue screen stop error message 0x0000007B (0xF7A10524, 0xC0000034, 0x00000000, 0x00000000) dead. The computer is WIndows XP SP3, 1 GB of ram with 80 GB hard drive. It seems that the Setup program does not recognize the hard drive.
Any help would be appreciated.
After several hours of experimentation, I finally found the correct BIOS settings in order to get the computer to boot. There are three BIOS settings that need to be changed or check settings by default so that it can work. SATA 0 must be activated, SATA operations must be changed from AHCI, ATA and in the modular Bay, by default "far-sighted" should be replaced by the IDE. Save the settings and start the computer to the right upwards.

VCenter Service does not start after changing the port number
Hi all
Accidentally, I changed the port number for the Vcenter server from the portal of VCenter 10443 and dint realize that the Java application uses 10443 so.
Could not start the server vcenter service, because its raise an error saying 10443 port is already im currently byt used another application.
I tried to stop the Java service, in order to start the vcenter service and make changes to port again, numbers but I am unable to stop the java application.
Please, if anyone knows how to change the number of Vcenter via config port or any other way, please throw a comment... Its much appreciated.
Thank you
Nirmal
If you use the MSSQL database, locate WebService.Ports.http in the VPX_PARAMETER table and change to the correct port.

VCenter 5.1 does not start after joining the domain
I have a VCenter Server 5.1 that I had to join the domain. The domain controller has died and I had to rebuild the domain from the ground controller. It is early in the generation of the environment and the user does not backup turns yet. The SQL database is on another virtual machine which I added to the domain and at least I think I have fixed the AD accounts on the SQL Server. I ping the SQL server machine vcenter server. I also have a Web server that uses the SQL Server and it works correctly. All thought that the web server uses a SQL account and not a Windows account. Having said that it's the VCenter error I get. I don't know where I can get more detailed logs. VCenter service dies as soon as I try to start it.

Satellite Pro S300-120 does not start after replacing the CMOS battery
Hello
My friends laptop - a S300-120 - was having a few problems.
I replaced some parts about this before, including a screen crack with no problems.
However, he began to refuse to start saying "out of battery CMOS, Press F1 to enter setup". Of course you would have to do this, set the date and time, except & restart only to get the same message. We have replaced the CMOS battery with a with the same serial number and now the laptop will not boot.
It does one of two things.
It is one) seems to turn, turn to the top disk & CD player, cooling fan is 100%, then flashes the POWER ON led once, twice by orange, and then green to 1/2 second intervals, with no response from the keyboard or LCD.
Or (b) turns on, turntable, does not turn up to cooling fan, POWER ON witness remains stable, no response from the keyboard or LCD.
I re-assembled the laptop several times & can not find all the missing fittings or obvious signs of damage.
The only thing I can think is that the motherboard has been damaged - somehow find replacements is delicate.
Any ideas?

Usually, if the voltage in abnormal feeding malfunctions when IN DC will be blinking orange. In my opinion, it looks like a problem with the motherboard :(
Eventually, you will need to replace the mobo ;( -

Does not start after replacing the cmos battery
HP m8430f, Vista Home Premium. Worked very well but sometimes had to restart using "pulsed" F10 (5 seconds) then wait 5 seconds, and then F5, then ENTER, F10, then ENTER.
I suspected the CMOS battery, so I removed it. He tested "fair." Got a new CR2032. He attached the test counter, so it's okay "I WAITED ALL NIGHT BEFORE REPLACING. But the computer does not restart. I went through the steps above and still no luck. What to do next? Thank you, Joe
FIXED! I removed the battery (I had to remove the sound card to get in the first place to the battery). I waved it around a little when you reinstall. Now it's working. What I've done, I have no idea, but it works now. Sorry for the post, but I was desperate. Joe
