ORA-01839: invalid date for the specified month

Hello

I don't know if this is the right place for posting this... but I got the following errors in my alert log file (10.2.0.1)

Errors in the fichier.../bdump/xxx_j000_23928.trc
ORA-12012: error on auto work 8888
ORA-01839: invalid date for the specified month

in the trace file:
NAME OF THE ACTION: (AUTO_SPACE_ADVISORY_JOB) 2009-03-30 22:00:02.313
NAME OF THE MODULE: (DBMS_SCHEDULER) 2009-03-30 22:00:02.313
SERVICE NAME: (SYS$ USERS) 2009-03-30 22:00:02.313

2009-03-30 22:00:02.313
ORA-12012: error on auto work 8888
ORA-01839: invalid date for the specified month

The problem is the date is not valid for the specified month, my question is how do I solve this problem. This is a newly created database.

I have only 2 jobs (some from dba_jobs) and there is no 8888.

2 jobs I have are:

THE WORK INTERVAL WHICH
1 + 1/240 sysdate unlock;
trunc (sysdate) 2 + 7 + 3/24 dbms_stats.gather_schema_stats ('db_name');

Please help. Thank you.

Published by: user10427867 on March 31, 2009 12:00

The work is probably assigned a group of windows, probably MAINTENANCE_WINDOW_GROUP. The task will run in this window. Try these queries.

select schedule_name
from dba_scheduler_jobs
where job_name = 'AUTO_SPACE_ADVISOR_JOB';

select next_start_date
from dba_scheduler_window_groups
where window_group_name = 'MAINTENANCE_WINDOW_GROUP'; -- or the value returned by the first query if different

Since it is a work of Oracle supplied, I recommend you contact Oracle support. The trace file contains other useful information?

    ..............................................................................

    Hope this helps

    Hello

    In Oracle, you can do this:

    SELECT LAST_DAY (TRUNC (base_date)) AS last_day_of_month

    SUM (connections) AS total_connections

    OF something

    WHERE base_date > = TRUNC (ADD_MONTHS (SYSDATE,-6), 'MONTH')

    AND base_date<  trunc="" (           ="" sysdate,     ="">

    GROUP OF LAST_DAY (TRUNC (base_date))

    ORDER BY last_day_of_month

    ;

    If you would care to post some CREATE TABLE and INSERT statements so you want the results of work from these data of the sample, then I could test this.

    Using Oracle?  #Something (with a sign # at the beginning) is not valid a table name, and datetime is not a valid data type in Oracle.

    Always say what version of Oracle you are using (for example, 11.2.0.2.0).

    See the FAQ forum: https://forums.oracle.com/message/9362002

    The query above works if base_date is a DATE or TIMESTAMP.

    Since it is now January 2014, what are "the last 6 months?  The above query assumes that they are the last 6 months, that is, July to December 2013.

    If you mean the current (incomplete) and 5 months before it (i.e. August 2013 to January 2014), then add 1 month to the two deadlines in the WHERE clause:

    WHERE base_date > = TRUNC (ADD_MONTHS (SYSDATE,-5), 'MONTH')

    AND base_date<  trunc="" (add_months="" (sysdate, ="" 1) ="">

    Use the IW format - it will make independent NLS solution. And all you need is truncated 7th day of each month using IW:

  • Select dbms_metadata.get_dependent_ddl fails with ORA-31604 still exist for the object

    Hello

    In the DEPENDENCIES of DBA, I can see that I have (seen here) according to some a table objects:

    -SQL > select type, name

    -2 from dba_dependencies where REFERENCED_OWNER = upper ('stuff')

    --3 and REFERENCED_name = upper ('st_tab') and type = "VIEW";

    -NAME OF THE OWNER TYPE

    -- ----- ----- ------------------

    -VIEW STUFF STTAB_4MV_VW

    -VIEW STUFF STTAB_VW

    But trying to recover these definitions 2 times I get an error:

    -SQL > select dbms_metadata.get_dependent_ddl ('VIEW', 'ST_TAB', 'STUFF') def double;

    -ERROR:

    -ORA-31604: NAME parameter invalid "BASE_OBJECT_NAME" for the type of VIEW object in the function SET_FILTER

    -ORA-06512: at "SYS." DBMS_SYS_ERROR', line 116

    -ORA-06512: at "SYS." DBMS_METADATA_INT', line 4705

    -ORA-06512: at "SYS." DBMS_METADATA_INT', line 8582

    -ORA-06512: at "SYS." Dbms_metadata", line 2882

    For some objects, it works (triggers, index), but for others (views, procedures, packages), it still fails with ORA 31604.

    If I make a direct call on dbms_metadata.get_ddl ('DISPLAY', 'STTAB_4MV_VW', 'STUFF'), it works fine.

    Everyone has seen this behavior before? (tried this code on 10g and 11g)

    Thank you very much.

    Kind regards

    SEB

    For some objects, it works (triggers, index), but for others (views, procedures, packages), it still fails with ORA 31604.

    Exactly! That's what he should do. Dependent on DOF is for objects that are actually part of the table.

    If I make a direct call on dbms_metadata.get_ddl ('DISPLAY', 'STTAB_4MV_VW', 'STUFF'), it works fine.

    Exactly! That's how you get the DDL for views and other types of distinct objects. Provide you with the type of object as the first parameter.

    Everyone has seen this behavior before? (tried this code on 10g and 11g)

    Sure! This is a normal behavior.

    Notes on use

    • These functions allow you to extract metadata for objects with a single call. They encapsulate calls to OPEN , SET_FILTER , and so on. The function you use depends on the characteristics of the type of object and if you want the DDL or XML.
      • GET_xxxis used to fetch named objects, especially schema objects (tables, views).

      • GET_DEPENDENT_xxxis used to extract dependent objects (audits, grants of the object).
      • GET_GRANTED_xxxis used to retrieve issued objects (System of subsidies, scholarships of role).
    • For certain types of objects, you can use more than one function. For example, you can use GET_xxx to fetch a name index, or GET_DEPENDENT_xxx to fetch the same index by specifying the table on which it is defined.

    See also table 74-11 in this doc for a table showing the types of objects.

    ORA-14099: all rows in the table are not eligible for the specified partition

    The exchange partition works fine for the first time. However, if we try to swap the 2nd partition it gives the error.
    How to solve this error?
    How can I find the lines which are not qualified for a specific part. is there a query to find out the same thing?

    >
    Well, exchange of syntax and logic is not clearly as it should (IMHO). There is no element of syntax that tells Oracle we want to Exchange partition data in a table that is not partitioned or not partitioned into partition table data.
    >
    What? Not sure where you got that but maybe it was before you had first cup of coffee? ;)

    An "Exchange", it's just that; an Exchange. Partition data end up in the non-partitioned table and vice versa. It is meaningless and totally obsolete if "we want Exchange partition data in a table that is not partitioned or not partitioned into partition table data".
    >
    It was decided by Oracle not partitioned table control. If the non-partitioned table is empty, it means you want to Exchange data partition in a non-partitioned table. And if not partitioned table is not empty, it means you want to Exchange data in the table that is not partitioned into partition.
    >
    There is no decision to make. The segments are swapped. Oracle doesn't check, know or even care if one or the other or both segments are empty. 'Control' which is carried out (by default except if NO CONTROL is used) only consists of ensuring all the data in the segment intended for the partition belongs to this partition.

    It is what gives the example of John. This can NEVER work if table1 is empty unless p1 is empty at the beginning:
    1 Exchange p1 with table1
    2 Exchange p2 with table1

    As John explains, assuming that no other operations are trying to put the data from p1 P2 which is not possible if p1 actually contains data.

    You can save it for next April 1!
