ORA-07202 creating the DB
HelloRecently, I confronted the following errors (ORA-01501: CREATE DATABASE failed ORA-07202: sltln: invalid parameter to sltln) creating DB. I installed the software first (10.2.0.1) on CentOS Linux x86_64 x86_64 x86_64, then he patched with 10.2.0.4 and now I am trying to create the database. After reaching 3%, it shows me these errors. Newspapers do not contain errors or messages that are related.
I'm losing my marbles guess what the problem is and how to deal with it.
Any help is appreciated
It is a famous bug 5046765.
Please use the below workaround
You use the DBCA "Custom Database" option Wizard and then go through all the screens. Along the way you choose to use Oracle managed files with multiplexing. At the end of the process, you have the option to do one or up to three things, create the database, save the model and create scripts.
If you choose to save the template and NOT to create the database, and then try to use this model in another session DBCA to create the database, with the fact that it fails:
ORA-01501: CREATE DATABASE failed:
ORA-07207: sltln: invalid parameter for sltln
on Unix and it fails with:
ORA-01501: CREATE DATABASE failed:
ORA-09314: sltln: logical name translation error
on Windows.
During the analysis of the model and scripts, you look in the new file init.ora and you discover the line that makes the process fails:
control_files =""
In scripts that you have saved, this line does not appear. When you create the database at the same time, you save the model, this line does not appear. However, when you run the template saved in a new session DBCA to create the database, this line is added to the file init.ora and the process fails with the errors above.

better restore controlfile from piece of backup or AutoSave. as restore controlfile from "" -

ORA-19504: cannot create the file '+ DATA '.
Hello everyone.
This is the scenario:
We have a test server that is used to restore daily backups of the Production database. Restore us the database with the same SID as the production one.
For specific reasons, we need create a second database (with a different SID) on this server with an older backup from the production one. To realize that I'm trying to use a part of the "DUPLICATE without connection to the target" tutorials on the web.
I tried the simple guide that I found which is:
(1) copy the backup files cold /somedirectory
(2) start OLD database with nomount
(3) connect RMAN with OLDER as an auxiliary
(4) run the following: DUPLICATE DATABASE FOR OLD BACKUP LOCATION ' / somedirectory' NOFILENAMECHECK.
Here's the result (I deleted some lines because of the size of it):

The first mistake of the stack was ORA-19504 while trying to restore the backup of the database.
First thing I took a glance was ASM occupation but it enough available space.
The second was a permission problem, but it doesn't seem to be the case because RMAN can correctly write the controlfile to ASM.
One have some advice on what I should look for?
Thanks in advance sorry for my English.
Select this option.
Hello.
Thanks, but is not the case. As I have said, that the DATA diskgroup has space enough he uses only a single disk in a RAID.
But I solved my problem... To the auxiliary database, I added the following to the spfile:
DB_FILE_NAME_CONVERT = '+ DATA/ProdDB', '+ DATA/OlderDB ".
LOG_FILE_NAME_CONVERT = '+ DATA/ProdDB', '+ DATA/OlderDB ".
I don't know why, but with these two clauses, it worked well. Perhaps RMAN was trying to restore it to the wrong place?

A number of things.
(1) If you're going to go to a different version of oracle, then duplicate only is not supported.
(2) assuming that the target and the auxiliary of the versions of database is the same, you don't need all your configure auxname, set the datafile newname and switch controls.

Hello
Its new, so I think that you must first create the PDB (plugable DB), then you can create user as part of the PDB not covered by the CBD (DB container),

but I already read this document.
Unfortunately, there is nothing on the creation of table with sql scripts in this document!and I really don't understand how to create table with SQL commands! My question has not yet been answered.
you please give me little details about it?
for example, how can create table using this sql command:CREATE TABLE suppliers
(the number (10) of supplier_id not null,)
supplier_name varchar2 (50) not null,
Contact_Name varchar2 (50)
);Thank you.

When you got to the CREATE TABLE screen, you have selected "set using the--> SQL.
Did you notice in the window that appears, just above this entry field is this text: "enter a SQL * select * statement below.» ' + This query results will be used to fill the table with Canada.* + "(underlining)
And hip, just to the left of this field is this text: «CREATE TABLE AS»He tries to build a ' CREATE TABLE AS SELECT... ». Creates a table with the same structure as the table in which you SELECT and fills with the results of this SELECT '. With your entry, you create a CREATE TABLE AS CREATE TABLE to read statement...
If you want to create your tables with a simple CREATE TABLE command, go to sqlplus and do it. You want to have a graphical interface to help build a simple CREATE table, when you get to the CREATE TABLE page, just to stay there with the default "use Define-> column specification." If you want, after completing "build" your table specification here, you will have a "Show sql" option to show you the actual sql statement that will be executed to create your table.

I want to run in silent mode netca to create the listener.ora file... can you give me response.file of the sample for netca?
Thank you
Published by: yxes2013 on 3.5.2013 04:14I meet emca error before and it is just resolved when I created lisnter.ora, so I want to try it.
I doubt that listener.ora was the cause.
Although experience is a better teacher.
No, trying to find the cause of a problem is a better teacher, just try things at random - it's a good way to teach you things like "emctl start dbconsole does not work without a listener.ora", which is clearly false.
Once start emca
The command is not 'emca,' maybe that's your problem.
We don't know, because you have not copied/pasted something here, including the error message

2 STAND ORA-00270: creation of the archiving log error
I checked the space on the system... is there enough free space on the disk.
On primary DB (destination of the journal archive)
SQL > list of archive logs
Database log mode Archive Mode
Active AutoArchive
Destination of archive D:\app\kamdarvg\flash_recovery_area\test\ARCHIVELOG
More old sequence of journal online 564
Log sequence archive 566
Current log sequence 566
On standby DB (list of newspapers of record)
SQL > list of archive logs
Database log mode Archive Mode
Active AutoArchive
Destination of archive D:\app\kamdarvg\flash_recovery_area\test\ARCHIVELOG
More old sequence of journal online 564
Log sequence archive 566
Current log sequence 566
Please guide it's because of the destination of the journal archive even shared by the standby and primary?
If yes how do I change the destination of the newspaper archive on standby DB?
Thank you.

If only the DB_RECOVERY_FILE_DEST initialization parameter is specified, Oracle database then creates a log file member to this place.
