Entrance to the TNSNAMES file ORA has good 'service_name', compared to the entries in the DB server Listener.ora file.

I only "tnsnames.ora' file in my client ' / opt/app/oracle/product/11.2.0/client_1/network/admin ' and my GUI application that uses as a reference.

All,

JDBC connection string must be changed to connect to the DB CARS with names of SCAN VIP, Oracle RAC features using

JDBC: thin: @(DESCRIPTION = (ADDRESS_LIST = (LOAD_BALANCE = yes) (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP) (HOST =)(PORT=1522))) (CONNECT_DATA = (SERVER = DEDICATED)(SERVICE_NAME=)))

  • Group ADF opening too many sessions of database JDBC Thin Client.

    Hi all

    I have several panels of the ADF, which allows the user to run some simple queries against a database of Oracle is using the view objects ADF and ADF view links and ADF application module.
    Each ADF Panel as I mentioned contains several queries view link and links in the form of Jbuttons to other ADF signs other ADF links running.
    Run Control Panel of the ADF as described here opens up to 21 sessions of data showing as "JDBC Thin Client" when I look at their place of session$ v.
    Why I find myself with a lot of databases of sessions.
    Why didn't he just uses one or two sessions of database to run all of these links to view? It seems that it opens a session of data base for each of these links to view.

    How can I change this destructive behavior? I have that one to see one or two sessions of database for the whole ADF matter how ADF display the links it contains.
    Your suggestions are most appreciated.

    Thank you.
    Bobby has.

    Why so many AMs? Can not put all the your under a single AM?
    Each AM you will use will open a connection to the DB.

  • Thin client JDBC - IP source address

    I see the program in session $ v as JDBC Thin Client.  I need to know where the connections are coming from (source ip address).

    I reason to assume that the only way I'll be able to see who is not in the views v$ but traces of sqlnet server-side to activate?

    Thank you

    Hey, thanks for the replies. It is a database 10g running in a RAC 11g cluster.

    Yes this is level 3 - end user connects from browser to the Web site, site Web running java code (or maybe the browser activates a java applet, although I doubt that - I don't know the complete development environment) and connects to the db via jdbc client light.

    I see some server names, in v$ session.machine - probably that they are web servers, so maybe that's all I'm going to (same as IP really as they are internal servers)-as for the end user, I expect that they will have to use for this httpd logs

    Thanks a lot for helping me to focus on this

    If you wish / expect end user IP #, then the application MUST be modified & WEBSERVER must participate to get & send the IP # of the end-user; because the WEB server is the only device that is in direct contact with the end user.

  • TLSv1.2 with the JDBC Thin driver

    I set up a secure connection, and the handshake connects using TLSv1.

    Is it possible to have him negotiate TLSv1.2?

    I use 12.1.0.2 ojdbc7.jar

    The connection is made via a javax.sql.DataSource with org.apache.commons.dbcp.BasicDataSourceFactory reference

    The secure connection works, and he negotiates a connection TLSv1. However, I was prompted to use TLSv1.2. The client initiates a handshake with:

    '* ClientHello, TLSv1 '.

    Which means that the server will negotiate with TLSv1.

    How can I get the client starts the negotiation with a Hello TLSv1.2?

    I tried to set the following options:

    -Djdk.tls.client.protocols = TLSv1.2

    -Dhttps.protocols = TLSv1.2

    but neither had an effect.

    For all those who come across of this question, here is the answer:

    When you use the version 12.1.0.2 of ojdbc7 of the Java JDBC Thin client, there is a known bug (19030178) where the JDBC client acknowledges not TLS 1.1 and 1.2 ciphers.

    There is a patch available if you have an Oracle support account.

    When connecting to an Oracle 12 server that has the support of TLS 1.2, with the patch I get now:

    ClientHello, TLSv1.2

    ServerHello, TLSv1.2

    and with a server Oracle 11 don't supports TLS 1, I get:

    ClientHello, TLSv1.2

    ServerHello, TLSv1

    and the communication continues in TLSv1

    It now works as expected.

    Run "lsnrctl status" and if she does not see that your XE service you may need to manually add in listener.ora part SID_LIST:
    for example:

    SID_LIST_LISTENER10G =
    (SID_LIST =
    (SID_DESC =
    (SID_NAME = PLSExtProc)
    (ORACLE_HOME = c:\oracle\product\10.1.0\db_1)
    (= Extproc PROGRAM)
    )
    (SID_DESC =
    (GLOBAL_DBNAME = XE)
    (SID_NAME = XE)
    (ORACLE_HOME = c:\oracle\product\10.1.0\db_1)
    )
    )

    or similar...

    Also, make sure that you can resolve localhost for example ping localhost

    Hello!

    Your "lsnrctl status" tells you that the listener unaware of XE services. Try the following steps:

    (1.) to connect to SQL * Plus as SYSDBA enter

    ALTER SYSTEM REGISTER;

    (2.) to check if your listener knows XE after that

    If this does not work, try:

    1.) modify your listener.ora like that

    # listener.ora Network Configuration File:

    SID_LIST_LISTENER =
      (SID_LIST =
        (SID_DESC =
          (SID_NAME = PLSExtProc)
          (ORACLE_HOME = /usr/lib/oracle/xe/app/oracle/product/10.2.0/server)
          (PROGRAM = extproc)
        )
        (SID_DESC =
              (GLOBAL_DBNAME=XE)
              (SID_NAME=XE)
              (ORACLE_HOME=/usr/lib/oracle/xe/app/oracle/product/10.2.0/server)
        )
      )

    LISTENER =
      (DESCRIPTION_LIST =
        (DESCRIPTION =
          (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = IPC)(KEY = EXTPROC_FOR_XE))
          (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = 127.0.0.1)(PORT = 1521))
        )
      )

    Recharge 2.) the listenerparameters

    lsnrctl reload

    3.) again once check your status as a listener and try to connect from your Java application.

    Yours sincerely

    Florian W.

  • ORA-12505, TNS: Listener does not currently of SID in the connection descriptor (code: 2 011)

    I get this error when you try to create a data store for Oracle database of the Disqualification.

    ORA-12505, TNS: Listener does not currently of SID in the connection descriptor (code: 2 011)

    I am able to connect to this database by using the same credentials through SQL, but the Disqualification, I'm not. Do I need to do anything in linux server before the implementation of Oracle data warehouses?

    There are a number of ways.

    1 use a JNDI connection configured in WebLogic and select by name

    2. use the LDAP connection or TNS - see http://docs.oracle.com/middleware/1213/edq/DQEXT/config_dbase.htm#DQEXT202

    3. Add an oracle.xml file in [local disqualification home] / dbconnectors with the following content. This will allow you to select the service name in the standard Oracle data store wizard:

    Class = "com.datanomic.utils.databasespecies.species.Oracle"

    MaxNameLength = "30" invalidnamechars ="" ' >

    {JDBC:Oracle:Thin:@${service = "srv"? /': "} ${host}: ${port} {service ="srv"? '/' : ':'}${sid}

    Oracle

    {JDBC:Oracle:Thin:@${service = "srv"? /': "} ${host}: ${port} {service ="srv"? '/' : ':'}${sid}

    ${superior (schema = "? user: schema)}

    dbproductname ~ = '(?i) oracle'

    name ~ = ' $BIN\\ [A-Za-z0-9 + /] {22, 24} ==------$\\p {digit} +'

  • Creating a service; What must be included in tnsnames.ora and JDBC url?

    We have a 2 RAC node.

    Instance2  = mbsprd2
    I want 1 Instance (mbsprd1) to use for our OLTP and Instance 2 (mbsprd2) application to use for another nature DSS request.

    According to the syntax
    srvctl add service -d <dbname> -s <ServiceName> -r <Preferred Instance> -a <Available Instance>
    I create 2 services

    -Creation of a service called OLTP
    srvctl add service -d mbsprd -s OLTP  -r mbsprd1 -a mbsprd2
    -Creation of a service called DSS
    srvctl add service -d mbsprd -s DSS  -r mbsprd2 -a mbsprd1

    Thanks in advance for your help

    Well, it sounds like a question for Pentaho.

    However, if you have Oracle installed on the Pentaho Server customer, you could use OIC as the access method and then provide the TNS alias.

    In the contrary case, it * seems * that Pentaho for a JDBC connection, use your 'database name' as a SID. What is the result of lsnrctl and status services on your box of production Oracle lsnrctl?

  • JDBC: thin gives error mystery

    Hi all

    I'm using Oracle 11 G and I have a java clause that is used to connect the other DB and extract the data. Here is my Echappementjdbc

    Public Shared Sub query (string usr, String pssw, String hostname, String, String DB, String InitialDate port) survey of exceptions
    {
    Class.forName ("oracle.jdbc.OracleDriver");
    String url = "jdbc:oracle:thin:@//" + name + ":" + port + "/" + DB;
    Jacot connection = DriverManager.getConnection (url, usr, pssw);
    try {}
    Statement stmt = connIW.createStatement ();

    Now I get

    ORA-29532:
    Appeal of Java completed by eception Java exception: java.sql.SQLException:
    ORA-01017: name of user and password invalid. connection refused

    But I can't able to connetc with Sql developer, using the same user name, password, HOST, port, and DB Service name .

    Could help me solve the problem.

    Kind regards

    San.

    We have fixed the problem. This
    is an Oracle Bug, please see the Oracle note for reference below.

    Connection to the external database
    Oracle Jvm using the Jdbc thin driver server-side throws Ora-01017 (Doc ID
    1303712.1)

    Applies to:

    Version - JDBC: 11.2.0.1 and later [Release: 11.2 and later]

    Information in this document applies to any platform.

    Symptoms

    A Java stored procedure using the JDBC/thin driver side server to connect to
    another database.

    When Java code is deployed on a pre - 11 g of the side database server
    JDBC/thin connection works very well.

    Once the Java code is deployed on a 11.2 the database-side JDBC/thin server
    failed to connect with ORA-01017: name of user and password invalid. connection refused

    If the Java code is executed on an external JAVA virtual machine connection works fine.

    Despite the error ORA-01017 it was determined that the user name and
    password are correct, and that it is not a matter of case sensitivity.

    Cause

    Corruption with the JIT
    compiled version of Java code.

    Oraclei¿½
    The database Java Developer's Guide

    11g Release 1 (11.1)

    Part number B31225-05

    "Overview of the JITStarting JVM Oracle with Oracle 11 g release 1 (11.1),
    There's a just-in-time (JIT) compiler for Oracle JVM environment. A JIT
    for Oracle JVM compiler allows much faster execution, because it manages the
    invalidation, recompilation and code without an external storage
    mechanism. Based on profiling data collected dynamically, this compiler
    seamlessly selects the Java methods to compile to native machine code and
    dynamically make them available for Java sessions running. In addition, the
    compiler can take advantage of the Oracle JAVA virtual machine class model to
    possibly persist methods Java compiled in the database of calls, sessions, or
    instances. This persistence avoids unnecessary recompilations overload
    through sessions or instances, when we know that semantically the Java
    code has not changed. "

    Solution

    Workaround solution:

    change the system
    java_jit_enabled = FALSE;

    This allows the JIT code to be bypassed, by simply interpreting the Java
    the code that is generated by bytecode, rather than using the JIT.

    There is no need to re - compile Java code. Just run the command above

    and repeat the Java stored procedure.

    To restore the functionality of JIT just do:

    change the system
    java_jit_enabled = TRUE;

    Solution:

    Delete all the lines in the java table $ mc$ and restart the database

    The java$ mc$ table stores the persistent version of the JIT code generated
    for performance reasons. remove this code apparently requires the JIT to
    regenerate the code.

    Thank you!

    Try it with sid ORCL instead of XE.

    If this does not help, then choose SERVICE_NAME orcl instead of SID in sql developer.

    Your listener seems to have an entry for this.

    You can also test it in SQl * more. But what you've done so far in SQl * plus was a "server connection", without providing the database.

    Because in your case, the client and the server is on the same machine, it works with sql * more.

    If you try a customer coonnect by specifying the database, then you would do the same thing as the Oracle SQL Developer is by train.

    For test purposes, something like

    sqlplus user/pwd@host:port/ORCL

    also in the Sqlnet.ora file must be an etry for local EZCONNECT connect method. I don't know if it is set during the installation of network by default.

    You can try if there is an Alias-TNS name (configured in the tnsnames.ora)

    sqlplus user/pwd@ORCL

    If it works with sql * plus, so you must always indicate the sql developer where the tnsnames.ora file is located on your computer.

    The setting can be found in the menu: extras/tools/base data/improved

    The tnsnames.ora file is usually in a file like this:

    C:\Oracle\product\11.2.0\client_1\network\admin

    As you say, the client and the server are on the same machine and user/password after setting ORACLE_SID and ORACLE_HOME cannot work

    Perform the following steps:

    1. If above works, it means that you are able to connect

    2 bounce the listening process and try to connect

    3. make sure that the listener and Oracle process owners are same

    4. ensure that padinjhattil entry is in/etc/hosts file

    Thank you

    Please, if someone could give me a tip. Thank you!!!

    Looks like a problem with the tnsnames file / wrong sid. try using tnsping > that you will be in your tnsnames.ora.

  • Listener refused the connection with the following error: ORA-12505

    Hello
    Listener refused the connection with the following error: ORA-12505, TNS:listener does not currently know of SID given in connect descriptor The Connection descriptor used by the client was: 127.0.0.1:1521:XE
    Windows XP + Oracle 10.1.0.20

    I checked my *.ora files and found the host 127.0.0.1 but I noticed by running the netstat command on prompt back most of my ports is captured by www.360.cn including 1521

    When I try to stop the following message is displayed:
    ORA-01034: ORACLE not available
    ORA-27101: shared memory realm does not exists
    Thank you and best regards

    Hello

    [oracle@myoramachine ~]$ oerr ora 12505
    12505, 00000, "TNS:listener does not currently know of SID given in connect descriptor"
    // *Cause: The listener received a request to establish a connection to a
    // database or other service. The connect descriptor received by the listener
    // specified a SID for an instance (usually a database instance) that either
    // has not yet dynamically registered with the listener or has not been
    // statically configured for the listener. This may be a temporary condition
    // such as after the listener has started, but before the database instance
    // has registered with the listener.
    // *Action:
    // - Wait a moment and try to connect a second time.
    // - Check which instances are currently known by the listener by executing:
    //    lsnrctl services
    // - Check that the SID parameter in the connect descriptor specifies
    // an instance known by the listener.
    // - Check for an event in the listener.log file.
    [oracle@myoramachine ~]$

    1. check the lsnrctl services

    2 check the tnsping output:

    tnsping MYORACLE

    3. check the connectivity to the computer hosting your Oracle server to the port (I guess 1521):

    Telnet 1521

    4. in case you are not able to connect to the Oracle Server - I investigate it in several directions:

    -problem of network infrastructure

    -some process disturbing / virus on the server Oracle itself

    -firewall problem

    Good luck!

  • Oracle Thin Client error when inserting

    Cold Fusion 8 fully patched on Windows Server 2008 fully patched
    8.1.7.1 Oracle Linux as DB with network (encryption) Option
    Oracle Client 10.2.0.3 Thin Client (tried with the ojdbc14 and ojdbc12 classes)

    SELECT, DELETE, UPDATE instructions all work fine.

    When an INSERT statement is sent to the DB, it is processed (the insert is done and committed!) but we receive a database error message 'Typlange grosser als Hochstwert', which translates as about type length is greater than the limit.

    Multiple threads show this as a problem when the return of the db is too large, but it is certainly not the case (a simple insertion of a line of small).

    The SQL that is executed to the DB includes a suffix of "ROWID of RETURN", which is not part of our SQL and is apparently added by CF or thin client. We do not handle the return value (we tried but that didn't help either).

    Due to the fact that the INSERT is actually made and committed, we assume that the problem must be at the end of the customer and not in the database.

    This is a blocking problem and seems to be limited to 8 CF with the customer.
    CF 8 with an ODBC to the same DB connection works OK.

    Be very happy for any help we want to go to production with this environment.

    See you soon
    Thomas

    I am able to use the Oracle 10.2 OCI or JDBC 'fat client' driver do updates and deletions to my 8.1.7 database. Only a few changes are needed with the already installed Oracle client. You must update the java.library.path Coldfusion8\runtime\bin\jvm.config to include the dll from the Oracle client directory. For me it was:
    Java.Library.Path=...,E:/Oraclient_10_2
    You must restart coldfusion for all java configuration updates.
    You must also change the JDBC URL of JDBC: thin:... to jdbc:oracle:oci:...

    You can still use the Oracle client where he works, using the OCI driver only if necessary. You could test your SQL with two drivers to see if you notice a significant difference in performance. Use what works the best.
