Thin client JDBC - IP source address

I see the program in session $ v as JDBC Thin Client.  I need to know where the connections are coming from (source ip address).

I reason to assume that the only way I'll be able to see who is not in the views v$ but traces of sqlnet server-side to activate?

Thank you

Hey, thanks for the replies. It is a database 10g running in a RAC 11g cluster.

Yes this is level 3 - end user connects from browser to the Web site, site Web running java code (or maybe the browser activates a java applet, although I doubt that - I don't know the complete development environment) and connects to the db via jdbc client light.

I see some server names, in v$ session.machine - probably that they are web servers, so maybe that's all I'm going to (same as IP really as they are internal servers)-as for the end user, I expect that they will have to use for this httpd logs

Thanks a lot for helping me to focus on this

If you wish / expect end user IP #, then the application MUST be modified & WEBSERVER must participate to get & send the IP # of the end-user; because the WEB server is the only device that is in direct contact with the end user.

  • Get the Thin Client IP address

    Hello. I'm trying to find out the IP address of the machine that I use for programming. I want to use my LabVIEW program on a server. However, the string to the property intellectual VI gives the IP address of the network, so in this case the server IP address. It is a problem, as we hope, in the future, run multiple thin on program clients, if we want the program to know what thin client, it works on. However, I don't have access to the command prompt on the thin client due to administrative restrictions. This eliminates the other solution I found, which was to find the Login Windows user name (each light client has its own unique user name) through different screw which involved the command prompt. Any ideas on how to find the IP address of the customer of the Services Terminal Server Session, I believe that my computer called? Thanks for your time.

    I called and he was referred to this, which worked. We use Citrix server and the username thing worked, and we are now able to run the program for each thin client using his user name.

  • Group ADF opening too many sessions of database JDBC Thin Client.

    Hi all

    I have several panels of the ADF, which allows the user to run some simple queries against a database of Oracle is using the view objects ADF and ADF view links and ADF application module.
    Each ADF Panel as I mentioned contains several queries view link and links in the form of Jbuttons to other ADF signs other ADF links running.
    Run Control Panel of the ADF as described here opens up to 21 sessions of data showing as "JDBC Thin Client" when I look at their place of session$ v.
    Why I find myself with a lot of databases of sessions.
    Why didn't he just uses one or two sessions of database to run all of these links to view? It seems that it opens a session of data base for each of these links to view.

    How can I change this destructive behavior? I have that one to see one or two sessions of database for the whole ADF matter how ADF display the links it contains.
    Your suggestions are most appreciated.

    Thank you.
    Bobby has.

    Why so many AMs? Can not put all the your under a single AM?
    Each AM you will use will open a connection to the DB.

  • This computer can't connect to the remote computer. ONLY 2 people it out 200 users...? baffeled by WindowsXPe Thin Client RDP connection

    Here's the situation.  We have 2 TS servers running WIN2K3 and 200 users with Thin Clients.  We'll call it the first server A and b of a second.

    They normally connect to an IP address and they will be directed to the server A or B according to the load.

    However; users can still select the specific TS server, they want to connect to.

    If user 1 and user 2 cannot connect to Server B.  They get the error listed above in the title.  However the user 1 and 2 can connect to A server.  If they say:

    192.168.123.2 the two of them get

    192.168.123.3 the two of them cannot get.

    I deleted the user de.3 A profile and it still can't get.  I have checked no orphan key inHKEY_LOCAL_MACHINEMicrosoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList

    I checked the settings in TSCC. MSC, I' checked worm Licensing by user and they are good, I gave them full administrator privileges and still not pass via the serveur.3, they adhere to all groups within the ORGANIZATIONAL unit that they can connect to TS, they were able to connect to her very well this back on Wednesday.  It is not a firewall issue and port 3389 has been verified in the case otherwise he would not just these two on each CT they try.

    Again, they can get utilisant.2.

    In the event de.3 Viewer I can see users connected CORRECTLY but then it pop their right.  There is no other error message when connecting, just the success Message in the security log.

    Let's bounce servers tonight so I'll have to turn it back on and I pray that they can later log on this server, but I'm baffeled.  Why only 2 people would receive this question and most (not sure how many others there may be, but I know 30 people connected today on this server and worked out of it) people are not getting an error.

    The thin client on their desktop is not the issue, because the error follows them any CLIENT LÉGER, they are connecting from.

    Short of this re-boot and short to delete accounts and recreate them, ideas?

    Found the problem.  I did not remove the key to all the indicated previously.  I should have done that for this user since her CentralProfile Key was empty when she had to be filled in by the system.  Removed his Key specific SID for listed above point and viola.  User can connect.

  • HP Thin Client running Windows Embedded don't profile with attributes DHCP

    My company has a large population of HP Thin Clients that are not attached to our AD domain and therefore cannot do dot1x because they have no certificates.

    We decided to do the profiling for these devices. We present a few attributes, two of these DHCP attributes.

    About 90% of our profile of thin clients, as expected, but the other 10% will refuse to work. We need to statically assign them to a group of identity to authenticate properly.

    A lot of troubleshooting reduced us to query DHCP the thin client sent was not received by the strategy node. A TAC engineer looked over the config switch, IP helper address configuration and said that everything seems to be configured correctly.

    The only explanation is that it seems that these specific thin clients were not finishing the DHCP process before reassigned switch the VLAN of the port. So when the dhcp request has been sent, the thin client was already in our vlan "invited" who does not dhcp to the ISE.

    It's very strange, because we have so many thin clients that works properly. It's only a handful that do not. We have not been able to further refine to something specific. They are running Windows Embedded Standard 7 and a majority of them are HP t5740. I don't see Windows or HP updates available for these units and not sure if there are any registry hacks available to expedite the DHCP process.

    Has anyone ever come across something similar to this?

    It's pretty obvious to me, the end point isn't you get profiled before there was authenticted, which means that you do not correspond to the profiling conditions defined in rules 6 and 7, which means it will match the rule 11 (I think, having not seen your real rules). What I expected this, is that endpoint gets profiled, if ISE receives the attributes of this endpoint via dhcp e.g. forwarding help. Then, what should happen is, that it should issue a certificate of authenticity to the switch, which will lead to the passage to be re - authenticate this ending point, which now must have customization attributes you are trying to match. However if the DHCP packet never reaches ise, it won't work. That's why I think you should do a trace of package on the ise server, to see if the packets actually reach ise. If they don't you will probably need to find another way to profile, or activate dhcp for assistance on your guest virtual local network. Have you looked at the attributes of endpoint maybe after 30 seconds? They change?

    11.1.1.7.1 use the jdbc_sid syntax, i.e.

    as described in the README file, mypdb1.foo.com

    -Sources of native data (no container) MapViewer can now use the service name of database instead of SID. To provide a db service name, you will use the same attribute of jdbc_sid, but specify the name of the service with double slashes in front, as follows:

    jdbc_host = "foo.com"

    jdbc_sid="//mypdb1.foo.com".

    jdbc_port = '1522 '.

    ... ...

    />

    Use a container_ds to the 11.1.1.7.0.

    that is, instead of using

    jdbc_host = "mydbinstance".

    jdbc_sid = "pdborcl12c".

    jdbc_port = '1522 '.

    jdbc_user = "mytestuser".

    jdbc_password = "m2E7T48U3LfRjKwR0YFETQcjNb4gCMLG8/X0KWjO00Q ="

    jdbc_mode = 'thin '.

    number_of_mappers = "6".

    allow_jdbc_theme_based_foi = "false".

    />

    use

    container_ds = "jdbc/db12c.

    number_of_mappers = "6".

    allow_jdbc_theme_based_foi = "false".

    Editable = "false".

    In my case the Glassfish 3.1.2.2 JDBC connection pool definition has been

    Property

    URL jdbc:oracle:thin:@mydbinstance:1522/pdborcl12c.rest_of.service.name

    Uncheck the wrap JDBC objects in advanced Panel, that is, the page properties change JDBC connection advanced pool.

    Add a resource to that newly created JDBC pool

    Use in mapviewerconfig.xml as above

  • Hive - Source address and Destination or a set of addresses

    I have a financial client who has a question on the Source address and Destination or a set of addresses.

    They must provide a Source address and destination or a set of addresses, with a mask of network. Oracle has the IP address and Netmask (s) they would need for booty? And they would be the Source or the Destination?

    The INVESTIGATION period would come from the server of the hive? The Bank would need specific IPs or a range of IP addresses that will be used. So if all the Beehive exists in 123.456.789.xxx, they would be able to enter like this, but it is best to identify each IP separately.

    Also, assuming that the Bank and Oracle are in communication, that can be at the Source and that can be the Destination?

    If this isn't something that we can provide them, I may need something - an explanation--give them that could soothe their needs.

    Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

    Brent

    Brent,

    Communication between the Bank and the Beehiveonline would normally be via the IP 156.151.25.7, which is the VIP for BeehiveOnline. It would be the two-way channel for communications over https, webDAV and the owners of o and OBEO protocols.

    The only time where we all change is if you use FTPS and because we put passive channels in place data transfer channel is given to one of the Middle-thirds to handle the traffic directly Bank to Oracle would be so throuigh 156.151.25.7 until the connection is established, and then the middle of the year-groups will manage traffic between the 2 extremities-this means that the traffic is two-way on one of the 3 the ip 156.151.31.35, 156.151.31.36, 156.151.31.37 addersses

    I hope this will satisfy the Bank.

  • Connecting the thin client to the virtual desktop

    Guys, I'm looking to provide some knowledge of locations to my current View 4 implementation. I need essentially allow thin clients in the room for a particular virtual desktop access, but the user access to all other workstations when they are in a different room\different thin client.

    At the present time, it seems possible to connect a desktop computer to an end user and not a customer light name or address etc.

    Is there anyway that I can link a pool of funds or office to a lightweight client device so that the bureau is only launched from this location?

    Thank you

    We are able to do something like that today.  Serve us our Wyse thin client and when the thin clients boot they go to an ftp site to obtain their configuration files.  The configuration file can be modified to configure how clients view client work light linux.  So, to process your request, we would put in class A on a network that has a config file that will automatically connect to a certain pool of virtual desktops.  In all networks, they would receive a configuration file that allows them to get the menu and choose what desktop Pool to connect to.

    I don't know what light supplier customer, you have, but I'm assuming that Wyse is not the only one with a certain type of configuration like this.

  • Oracle Thin Client error when inserting

    Cold Fusion 8 fully patched on Windows Server 2008 fully patched
    8.1.7.1 Oracle Linux as DB with network (encryption) Option
    Oracle Client 10.2.0.3 Thin Client (tried with the ojdbc14 and ojdbc12 classes)

    SELECT, DELETE, UPDATE instructions all work fine.

    When an INSERT statement is sent to the DB, it is processed (the insert is done and committed!) but we receive a database error message 'Typlange grosser als Hochstwert', which translates as about type length is greater than the limit.

    Multiple threads show this as a problem when the return of the db is too large, but it is certainly not the case (a simple insertion of a line of small).

    The SQL that is executed to the DB includes a suffix of "ROWID of RETURN", which is not part of our SQL and is apparently added by CF or thin client. We do not handle the return value (we tried but that didn't help either).

    Due to the fact that the INSERT is actually made and committed, we assume that the problem must be at the end of the customer and not in the database.

    This is a blocking problem and seems to be limited to 8 CF with the customer.
    CF 8 with an ODBC to the same DB connection works OK.

    Be very happy for any help we want to go to production with this environment.

    See you soon
    Thomas

    I am able to use the Oracle 10.2 OCI or JDBC 'fat client' driver do updates and deletions to my 8.1.7 database. Only a few changes are needed with the already installed Oracle client. You must update the java.library.path Coldfusion8\runtime\bin\jvm.config to include the dll from the Oracle client directory. For me it was:
    Java.Library.Path=...,E:/Oraclient_10_2
    You must restart coldfusion for all java configuration updates.
    You must also change the JDBC URL of JDBC: thin:... to jdbc:oracle:oci:...

    You can still use the Oracle client where he works, using the OCI driver only if necessary. You could test your SQL with two drivers to see if you notice a significant difference in performance. Use what works the best.

  • Setting NLS_LANG to the thin driver JDBC?

    Hello
    whence the client JDBC takes language settings of? I need to have my ORA localized messages, but I could not affecting him. Because I also localized need "ORA-01017: name of user and password invalid", ALTER SESSION cannot be applied at the time of the connection attempt, I don't have any connection object.

    I tried the following with no luck:
    -----
    String url =...;
    Properties info = new Properties ();
    info.setProperty ("user",...);
    info.setProperty ("password",...);
    info.setProperty ("NLS_LANG",...);
    DriverManager.getConnection (url, info);
    -----
    The problem may be in some missing libraries? I'd appreciate any help. Thank you. :-)

    Hello

    session of thin client that language is controlled by local java.
    Based on tests of code, ORA-messages are localized once the connection is successfully established. ORA-messages returned in the middle of connection are in the language of the proceedings.
    So far as I can tell, you should catch exceptions of DriverManager.getConnection (url, info); and to translate them yourself.
    Once the connection is returned successfully, ORA-message language is defined by local java.

    Tests have been conducted on Oracle 10 g 2 (thin driver and DB).
