  I recently upgraded from Oracle Forms/Reports 10 g and 11g.  Oracle 10g reports saving as PDF is easily converted into a word document, however, Oracle 11 g converts not as 10 g.  What is the difference and how to make the report of 11g saved in a PDF file be able to convert a Microsoft Word document itself.

  Maybe the problem comes from this 'problem '...

• Clearing the cache of reports

  A lack of reports 11g under WLS.
  If our data are changed only a few times a year, we have set high enough in our cgicmd.dat of TOLERANCE.
  This means that, after the delivery of the new data in the cache should be eliminated.
  
  So the simple question is just how clear the cache?
  
  I found evidence of a tool called Manager to queue reports. An impressive name which, under Linux, is proving to be a script that can display the queue.
  As we already queue tables in the database that has been of little value.
  I have also found the real cache directory, were that the generated html/pdf is saved. Delete the pdf file by hand gives the user an error when updating of reports (instead of rerunning the it from the beginning).
  Clear the RW_JOBS and RW_SERVER_JOB_QUEUE tables by hand or by RW_SERVER. CLEAN_UP_QUEUE; yet will deliver the document cached when updating.
  In enterprise manager, I saw only a few cache settings, nothing to delete.

  I'm working on my PC which has Oracle Developer 10G follow up on this and I'm going to pull a report from Oracle 10 g Oracle 10 G forms via a trigger when the button. When I run the form I get the following "* link to repsrv report server has failed."

  I think that from the reports server on your pc means start OC4J instance.

  Currently, iam has a migration to oracle 10g module.
  All my modules which consists of form and report files are inside a
  folder named PROJECT and placed in C:\ in windows server.
  So when I want to call a form or a report I used the path as "C:\PROJECT\module_name\form_name.fmx."
  My client now wants her project to be used in the LINUX-based server.
  
  Now, I want to know where I should put my form project file and file reports
  and how I should call them...

  Can you say how can I call reports as u said hardcode the path when the report is not a good practice.

  I agree with Dhiraj Madan, paths of coding is a very bad idea, your application has become non-portable.

  For FORMS_PATH, you can use default.env, as already said (or .env, if applicable).

  The same can be done for REPORTS_PATH, using the reports.sh script, in $ORACLE_HOME/bin.

  When I press FormCC it will open the parameterized report. When I give the parameter and press search, I get good value.

  When I press the Exit button it clear the cache and redirect the page to the home page and to reopen the FormCC points will be deleted is fine for me.

  Suppose that when I press a menu navigation item Ex FormsXYZ rather than press the exit button, and once more the FormCC click on the items are not deleted it will show the previous items. How to clear this point when we sailed into different forms.

  1. edit your Menu item.

  2. go into target-> clear the Cache-> give the page number target (Page not on which you redirect with a click of the menu item).

• Some Web sites load very slowly for me, and I already checked for viruses and cleared my cache and cookies.

  What are your cookies settings? For example:

  Conservation rules: use the custom settings for history

  {X} accept cookies from sites
  Accept third-party cookies: always
  Keep until: I close Firefox

  Some sites may not work well if you have disabled the 'third party' cookies (I don't remember if Gmail is one of those).

  Have you deleted all existing Google cookies? You can do it from any page search on google.com. Here's how:

  I tried to load a page which seems to have had a built-in buggy video ad, and now Firefox is stuck. It stops responding, but when I force quit and reopen it, it opens the offending page, still too and it freezes again. I tried to restart my computer and reinstall Firefox and the problem continues to be. I can't follow the advice I've seen here on open mode without failure or clear my cache, because Firefox crashes before I can do it. I there a way to make these Firefox outdoors? I use Mac OS X 10.6.8 if that matters.

  Try Firefox Safe mode to see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode that temporarily disables hardware acceleration, restores some settings and disables add-ons (extensions and themes).

  If Firefox is open, you can restart Firefox Safe mode in the Help menu:

  • Click the menu button

    

    click Help

    

    then select restart with disabled modules.

  If Firefox does not work, you can start Firefox in Mode safe as follows:

  • On Windows: Hold down the SHIFT key when you open the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
  • On Mac: Hold the option key during the startup of Firefox.
  • On Linux: Exit Firefox, go to your Terminal and run firefox-safe-mode
    (you may need to specify the installation path of Firefox for example/usr/lib/firefox)

  When the Firefox Safe Mode window appears, select "start mode safe."

  

  If the problem is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, theme or hardware acceleration. Please follow the steps described in the section Troubleshooting extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common Firefox problems to find the cause.

  Note that Firefox disables the disk cache if you use "Clear history of Firefox closing" to clear the cache, as you can see by the section of cache disk missing on the subject: the cache page.

  In case you use "clear history of Firefox closing:

  • do not erase browsing history

  Note that Firefox will disable the disk cache if you clear the cache it elsewhere, see about: cache
