Oracle 11 g 2 dbms_scheduler.put_file does not
Hi all
I was not able to find a good example of using the dbsm_scheduler.put_file function.
I tried the below and I get errors for an incorrect number of arguments of invalid type.
The error seems to revolve around the file_contents. However, this function should be an alternative to UTL_FILE if you have no database on the remote server.
Thanks in advance for any help.
Jan S.
SET SERVEROUTPUT vClob clob; BEGIN --Put the files on the remote server DBMS_SCHEDULER.PUT_FILE ( destination_file => '/home/oracle/scripts/execute_sql.sh', destination_host => '10.0.30.174:1500', credential_name => 'ORACLECREDENTIALS', file_contents => vClob, source_file_name => '/home/oracle/scripts/execute_sql.sh', source_directory_object => 'SCRIPT_REPO'); END;
Please try using this format:
DBMS_SCHEDULER.PUT_FILE ( destination_file IN VARCHAR2, destination_host IN VARCHAR2, credential_name IN VARCHAR2, source_file_name IN VARCHAR2, source_directory_object IN VARCHAR2, destination_permissions IN VARCHAR2 DEFAULT NULL);

DBMS_SCHEDULER job does not start if use_current_thread is set to false
Hi all
I'm trying to run a job (via sqlplus) by typing:
dbms_scheduler.run_job exec ('jobname', false);
I see:
PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.
but the task does not run. If I change from FALSE to TRUE, it rotates - but of course my session will have to stay connected.
The work has a program (which is a PL/SQL block) and the calendar set.
Any ideas what I could look in to find out why this happens?
DB is a 10.2.0.4 RAC running on AIX 4 node.
Snapshot of SQLPLUS:
Microsoft Windows [Version 6.1.7601] Copyright (c) 2009 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved. C:\Users\myuser>sqlplus user@db SQL*Plus: Release 12.1.0.1.0 Production on Thu Aug 14 09:56:05 2014 Copyright (c) 1982, 2013, Oracle. All rights reserved. Enter password: Connected to: Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.4.0 - 64bit Production With the Partitioning, Real Application Clusters, OLAP, Data Mining and Real Application Testing options SQL> exec dbms_scheduler.run_job('jobname', false); PL/SQL procedure successfully completed. SQL> show parameter job_queue_processes NAME TYPE VALUE ------------------------------------ ----------- ------------------------------ job_queue_processes integer 15 SQL>
Hmmm... seems that you must specify the schema name if you are not using the current thread. Now that I think about it, it makes sense... I'm leaving the scheduler does not define the default schema (or does not really like the user?) when running in the background and does not find the job, that's why run_job ends but nothing appears in the use of the term paper because it was never found in the first place.
It is also interesting that instance caged features differently... no instance caged during parallel execution using the current thread. For example, caged when not to use the current thread.

I see that Javascript is enabled. Is javascript and java, the same thing?
To avoid confusion:
Note that you need the Web-IcedTea Plugin installed and it is a different implementation of Java as the Oracle's Java plugin (formerly Sun), while the Oracle does not detect this plugin.

NoSQL Oracle database charger with EE last does not work
I am unable to run the NoSQL Oracle database loader to load data at: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/products/nosqldb/documentation/index.html which is included in the documentation with the latest download of Oracle NoSQL. I downloaded the EA on my Unix machine and have the JAVA version:
race of '1.7.0_17 '.
(I'm under KVlite. I was able to run the Hello Big World Data example).
This is step 6 in the Readme.txt file that I can't run.6. To load the contents of the tweeter to the Bank to run this command:
$java - cp SAMPLE_HOME/OLH/ONLH/deploy/onlh.jar; SAMPLE_HOME/OLH/ONLH/lib/NoSQL/kvclient-1.2.123.jar oracle.kv.sample.Loader-i SAMPLE_HOME/OLH/ONLH/deploy/airline_tweets_search-03-01-2012-082206.xml m ' < username > US ' - n "username <>" - v "< user name > < userID >" d "|" xml t
I have the tweets.xml of the airline and the jar two files onlh.jar and kvclient - 1.2.123.jar in the deploy directory. When I unzip the package does NOT contain the HLO directory (as shown in above command) if it is a question with above. Also; use the JAVA throw errors in above.
I ran the following:
[deployment cloudera@localhost] $ java - cp onlh.jar - jar kvclient.jar oracle.kv.sample.Loader-i airline_tweets_search-03-01-2012 - 082206.xml - m ' < username > US ' - n "username <>" - v "< user name > < userID >" d "|" xml t
My output:
11gR2.2.0.39
(I don't get a validation error message invalid as described in examples of java files. I tried many variations that precedes. In addition, the sample in the README.txt step 6 also does not align with the documentation available in the java file < tagname1 > < tagname2 > use. I am able to run step 5 to see the use of arguments.
I'm out of options on how to solve this problem and would appreciate some advice asap for a demo that I build. I certainly need to have this job so I can load my own cvs (with a few tweaks to the arguments). I'm beginner JAVA Programmer so explanations with examples are greatly useful.
Thank you>
[deployment cloudera@localhost] $ java - cp onlh.jar - jar kvclient.jar oracle.kv.sample.Loader-i airline_tweets_search-03-01-2012 - 082206.xml - m "US
"-n " "-v " " d "|" xml t The file README says to the kvclient and the onlh.jar - cp, not onlh.jar in cp and the kvclient as the - pot arg. If you move the kvclient.jar to the - CP
only.jar:.../kvclient.jar - cp
It will work.

Hi reda,.
I guess that's normal because you specified a start_date in July 2014, while labour will not start before that.

afiedt.buf (EDITOR) does not.
Dear comrades,
I use windows 7 professional OS, I am a user of oracle 11g sqlplus my Publisher file does not open in Notepad to allow me to edit the query.
whenever I type ED and press ENTER key it displays the query environment sqlplus rather than opening in Notepad. KINDLY GIVE ME THE SOLUTION TO THIS. I'm in a big problem because of it. THE EXAMPLE IN JPG FORMAT IS ATTACHED. Please help me.
My XE on Windows 7 already has the default notebook.
I'm surprised OP is not a mistake.
If I start SQL * Plus "start-> run", my "current directory" is c:\windows\something I do not have access to. (if I remember, I thought that I had a mistake when I "Edit" the sql)
If I start by running CMD and make a CD to my directory (e.g. cd c:\users\{my account name}) then launch SQL * Plus, it works fine.
My favorite around work:
Double-click the SQL * Developer icon.

Published by: hamza on July 2, 2012 04:50I created all the data of the same files as the old database. so when importing all users will be created
In my first test I didn't create all the users before importing, just give this command all users imported without any errors.
Assuming that 'data files' mean 'spaces', are you sure that all the storage spaces have been created (including temporary)?
I did the same thing to dozens of times (not with a version so old, I must say), and I got these errors when some tablespace has not been created.

LogMiner does not list INSERT statements

does anyone know why logminer does not INSERT statements? I have this problem on a 10.2.0.4 database. On a 11.2.0.1 database are, no problem.

I ask because I have a 10.2.0.4 database production that has not allowed an additional minimum logging. It seems there were a few 'ad hoc' changes in some tables, and because we have not enabled the audit, I tried to see if something can be found in the recovery logs archived. I searched on them and I have not found anything. Anyway, as the unit test above shows, I can't be sure if there was in fact no change to the data or only logminer recount not the...
Thank you very much in advance and greetings.
SwearHello
By default, the Oracle 10.2.0.4 database - does not provide any additional registration, which means that default LogMiner is not usable. Because of which you might not see the results.

Does not appear OraDb10g_home1 in ODBC
I just started the tutorial: creating a repository by using the tool of Administration Oracle Business Intelligence
Locagted at: http://www.oracle.com/technology/obe/obe_bi/bi_ee_1013/bi_admin/biadmin.html
I installed (in following order)
Oracle 10g Express
Oracle 10g client
Microsoft .net Framework SDK 2.0
Microsoft SQL Server 2005
Visual Studios 2005
Home1 ODAC Oracle (Oracle Developer Tools)
Oracle Business Intelligence Suite
In the tutorial, we are asked to craete an ODBC Data Source. The data source is supposed to use the Oracle driver in OraDb10g_home1. It does not appear in my list of data sources. I believe that I have installed everything that was required for this tutorial and the BI Suite. Can you please advise as to what I should do to get this installed data source or stand?
The current sources of data that appear are:
Oracle BI Server
Oracle XE
Oracle XE client
Merant ODBC Oracle driver
I read some discussions that suggest the contents of the Path system variable must contain a link to the sqora32.dll file.
Here are the contents of my system path variable (the sqora32.dll file located in the first path):
C:\oraclexe\app\oracle\product\10.2.0\server\BIN;
C:\OracleBI\server\Bin;
C:\OracleBI\web\bin;
C:\OracleBI\web\catalogmanager;
C:\OracleBI\SQLAnywhere;
C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_12\bin;
E:\oracle\product\10.2.0\Client_1\bin;
C:\XEClient\bin;
C:\oraclexe\app\oracle\product\10.2.0\server\bin;
% SystemRoot%\system32.
SystemRoot;
% SystemRoot%\System32\Wbem.
C:\Program Files\Intel\WiFi\bin\;
C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\90\Tools\binn\
Thank you...In my view, this is a duplicate of [your post in the ODBC forum | http://forums.oracle.com/forums/message.jspa?messageID=3457694#3457694].
It seems that you have a number of ODBC drivers installed by your comment
The current sources of data that appear are:
Oracle BI Server
Oracle XE
Oracle XE client
Merant ODBC Oracle driverIf the problem seems to be that you are looking for a driver with a particular name and this particular name does not appear in the list. As the name of the ODBC driver depends on the Oracle home name, the actual name of the ODBC driver, you need to use is arbitrary. As I tried to explain in th forum ODBC, you can name the Oracle Home everything you desire and the ODBC driver will take this name. It seems that you have at least two different houses of Oracle named "XE" and "XE Client", each of which has an installed ODBC driver. Depending on the configuration of your tnsnames.ora file, each driver should be fine.
In order to obtain an ODBC driver named 'Oracle in OraDb10g_home1', you need to install an Oracle client in a House of Oracle named "OraDb10g_home1. But there is nothing special about this name of other home is probably the name of the default Oracle Home for the particular version of the Oracle client that was installed as part of this tutorial. You can install the client in a house named "Justins_Really_Cool_Oracle_Home" and use the "Oracle in Justins_Really_Cool_Oracle_Home" ODBC driver just as easily.

HTML5 does not not within player Oracle LMS
I use Adobe Captivate 8.1 to develop sensitive (HTML5) courses and publication on Oracle EBS LMS 12.1.
I can see the course at IE11 browser without problem (with verified compatibility view).
But when running courses in the LMS (Oracle LMS) drive I get the following error:
"The content you are trying to view is not supported in the current Mode of Internet Explorer Document. Change the Document Mode on Internet Explorer 9 standards and try to view the content again. To change the Document Mode, press F12, click on Document Mode:, and then select Internet Explorer 9 standards. "
Verified settings compatibility mode is the default for all users of our IT, and we cannot change it.
I tried all modes of document of F12. did not help.
I tried to add the following to the index_SCORM.html header (first line meta), but that didn't work either:
< meta http-equiv = "X-UA-Compatible" content = "IE = EDGE" / >
This line supposed to override the default setting of the browser to display compatible and let the browser act like IE11 (later).
but I guess that since OLM player is a frame based player it does not allow the substitution.
Can anyone help? I need of course HTML5 on OLM.
After a tedious search and Discovery mission, I found the following solutions:
1. do not user the player PROTEUS to run the course, use rather a popup window that directs the user to another window where HTML5 is supported. Here, the obstacle is to keep track with the LMS.
2 - upgrade your OLM Oracle 12.2.4 which supports HTML5.
