  S erro coming from the ODBC side then you can try the following-

  1. change the listener.ora LD_LIBRARY_PATH for-

  (ENVS=LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/lib:/usr/local/lib:/db/oracle/10.2.0/lib)

  stop and start the listener.

  2. don't you get the error even if you delete the entry-

  HS_FDS_SQLLEN_INTERPRETATION = 32

  3. get a debugging bridge route-

  -Comment the entry
  HS_FDS_TRACE_FILE_NAME = /db/oracle/10.2.0/hs/admin/MIKSERI.trc

  then the tracks go to the location by default with default names-

  /DB/Oracle/10.2.0/HS/log

  -set the level of the trace-

  HS_FDS_TRACE_LEVEL = DEBUG

  -start a new session of SQLPLUS, run select, close the session.

  -Download the trace from somewhere, it can be displayed by our care.

  Today is my first day with Oracle. I tried to install Ora11g since our network drive. I think that the installation went well. I also have installated PL/SQL Developer when I try to log in I got the following error see below.

  After I did some research on the Internet I found this solution "go to tools > Preferences > options manually set 'Oracle Home" in the folder "Library OIC" and ORACLE_HOME to file oci.dll is located in ORACLE_HOME/bin/oci.dll.
  
  C:\app\user\product\11.2.0\Client_1\bin.dll < = I think it's my Oracle_Home
  C:\app\user\product\11.2.0\client_1\bin\oci.dll < = is my OCI library.
  
  When I apply a thse 2 ways I get the following error.

  Well, I started with version 8 and I can say that the old version was much better for learning than current ones. But today, 10 / 11g (and same 9i) have tons of goodies added to them. I guess that, much has been said by colleagues on 9i memebers so I won't again. But I'd take the first of 10g OCP examz, then do the upgrade to 11g with a review. This is based on what the first, he'll give you certifications on both versions. Now, this isn't really a revolutionary right, but still, it's very nice to have certifications on several tracks. Second and most relevant oneis that 11g is, if not completely, for the most part uses 10g as its base to the ground. It would be a better understanding approach, the mechanisms put in place in 10g and than to see their improvements and additions added to 11g. In the past, I can say that the new curricula of functionality are always a bit better as the track completes on the end of learning too, you will get a lot of info. But I understand that time, cost, these factors all come between so think of these as well as any other, decide on your track. One solution is to start from 10 and than go to 11g.

  I was wondering if there is a tool/plugin that would be something like google for a field search suggestions show on oracle 11g. He looking for a column in the database. The thing is, I have a column where new fields should be added each year, where they do not exist. It's a little complicated and tedious to search if the field exists manually, a tool that would give suggestions when writing a keyword would be really useful.

  If I had to define oracle services to start manually is there a specific order in which oracle services must be turned on as oracleServiceORCL first, then oracleOradb11g_home2_TNSLISTENER? I set the services to start manually and when I SPEAR oracleServiceORCL remains at about ~ 47 MB of memory, TNS listener won't turn on and I can't use OEM.
  
  When the services are set to automatic, I can use OEM however my pc startup time is like 3 minutes :).
