Oracle Universal Installer error
Hi all
I managed to install SQL Server 2008 (64-bit) on my work server and created an Oracle in Database Management Studio Server and connected scripts it successfully. However, at the time where I had a 32-bit Client Oracle moment and trying to connect to Oracle through offers of I got an error of BadImageFormatException. I then realized that I needed a 64-bit client for my 64-bit Windows Server 2008 R2.
Now, I downloaded the 64-bit client on my drive local and unzipped on the C drive of the server. However, when I click to start YES, I just get a message saying "preparing to launch Oracle Universal Installer...." »
But nothing happens. Close the window MS-DOS, and that's all. Nothing. I thought that the file is a not unzip correctly so I unzipped a 32-bit client on the server and its momentum very well!
Any ideas? Ideally, I want to just get Reporting SERVICES on Windows Server 64-bit, but I think without Oracle 64-bit Client this will prove fruitless.
Thank you
BrianWhich version of the client you are trying to install? I'd go with 11.2.0.2 to exclude known issues with the YES program.
11202 is available on MOS. If you have no Oracle Support for access to MOS, 11201 is available in the section downloads on OTN.

ODI 11g Installation Error (JDK).
Hello
I have a problem with installing ODI 11 g under Windows 7 (64-bit). I installed the 32-bit version of jdk (jdk1.7.0).
When I run the setup.exe (run as administrator), Universal Oracle install starts, but must specify the path to the JDK
"Preparation for the launch of Oracle Universal Installer from C:\Users\*. Please wait...
"Please specify JDK (Ex./home/jdk), < location > location/bin/java must exist:
When I entered a path like C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jdk1.7.0\bin , it gives msg as)
Please specify a valid JDK location:
Thank youHi yogesh,
As has been pointed out by Marc, you will need to use the path to the JDK, not the JRE, when starting the installer.
* 1. * you said your for the JDK installation path is "C:\Java\bin". The java.exe application sits within this folder?
* 2. * Installer, change the value for the jreLoc - for example, if #1 above is true.
D:\Work\Softwares\Odi Setup\ofm_odi_generic_11.1.1.6.0_disk1_1of2\Disk1\install\win64>setup.exe - jreLoc C:\Java\binA default installation of the JDK path is C:\java\jdk1.7. In this way, the file bin\java.exe and demand exist. The jreLoc - wants you to provide the path of C:\java\jdk1.7. I can't tell where the java.exe application based on the information provided, but you get the idea.
Kind regards

Hello
I tried to install Identity Management 11g as part of our test of Fusion Middleware environment, but I could not do through the Installation.
I want to install IDM 11 g, just Oracle Internet Directory with directory, Oracle, Oracle Directory Services Manager and Fusion Middleware integration platform control in a new Administration of WebLogic domain (do not select Federation identity or virtual directory)
All prerequisites are met, any verification passed.
I use Weblogic 11 g (10.3.1), all on an OEL 5.2.
The error I get is at the stage of the progress of the Configuration in the configuration of Bootstrap area section and in the Create Domain part.
The logs show:

Best regards.OK, problem solved.
As I said in the first post, this has been implemented on our test environment so we have several installation here.
The problem is that I chose the poor reception of WebLogic, I tried to install IDM 11 g using a home a WebLogic 10.3 instead of the 11 g version (10.3.1). Steps to fix the problem:
(a) cancel the installation
(b) run the runInstaller.sh with the - uninstall option and uninstall the Oracle Instance
(c) to rerun the Setup program and by changing the House WebLogic and related paths to the version of WebLogic 11 g (10.3.1) homeI would like to point out some things about this situation:
(1) the installation program automatically selects the first WebLogic installation on the server, it is not serious is not the recommended version
(2) the installation program never said the 10.3 version is not supported or the origin of this problem
(3) newspapers say nothing about what is the main cause of the error
Hope this helps.
Best regards.

Oracle 11g Installation of Windows R2 problem
Hey everybody,
I tried to install Oracle 11 g R2 on a computer Windows Server 2008 64 - bit. When installing, I get an error several times (about 20 times) message where it says that it can't find some files as C:\app\ora11g\product\11.2.0\dbhome_1\oc4j\j2ee\oc4j_applications\WFMLRSVCApp.ear and a few other files too. If I click on go in the dialog box whenever an error occurs, the installation will succeed and completes successfully.
What I'm doing wrong, what I have to change anything before installation starts?
I use the 64-bit correct installation files that I downloaded from the homepage of the Oracle...
Edited by: user12266335 the 07.04.2010 05:32I lived a similar problem. The first file, which it found was:
$ORACLE_HOME\oc4j\...something...\em.ear
There was a lot more after that.
To give you some background, I unzipped my pieces of downloaded files (1 and 2) in the default directories.
Who created two folders:
...\win32_11gR2_database1of2
...\win32_11gR2_database2of2When I had errors that were missing from the files, I thought I'd try choose my repertoire
to decompress the files. I made sure that now, they went in the same directory:...\win32_11gR2_database
After that, I don't have the mistakes that I had before. Installation was successful. This technique is indicated in the documentation to a certain extent. However,.
I think they need to emphasize that this is necessary, otherwise the installation will not work. Unlike Oracle 9i when we had several installation
directories (disk1, disk2, disk3, etc.), the 11 GR 2 installer doesn't seem to be able to automatically find other/next directories. Looks like an oversight
or a step backwards for me. -
Oracle 11g installation Assistant auto-off
I am trying to install Oracle 11 G Enterprise edition. During installation, I am able to do
- The wizard is open.
- Installation option press next and goto
- I selected "create and configure a database" and click Next
- When I select 'office' and next success installation wizard is closing or stopping itself.
I even tried to run the installer as administrator and also tried starting by "setup - jreLoc C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_45" installation of the installation through cmd prompt, but both did not work.
And I saw this thread with the same question that was unanswered problem installation customer of Oracle 11 g R2 64 bit on Windows 7 Enterprise 64
Any help is appreciated.

Oracle 11g installation on Oracle Virtual Box shape [solved]
Hi friends I want to share my experience in oracle forms and reports on Virtual box installation if this post has already been done by someone, I'm really very sorry to post again. My intention is only to make installation as easy as possible, and for your information, this isn't a full installation of forms in itself, it's just for people who would like to work on a standalone machine.
Software requirements
(1) oracle Virtual Box
(2) Xp professional edition - 32-bit
(3) Oracle 11 g Server
(4) Weblogic server - specific file name I used for the installation is (wls1033_oepe111150_win32)
(5) portals oracle forms, reports and discoverer - file name (ofm_pfrd_win_11.1.1.2.0_32_disk1_1of1, 2, 3, 4)
(6) portals oracle, forms, reports and discoverer - file name (ofm_pfrd_win_11.1.1.3.0_32_disk1_1of1) - Patch
(7) Java 1.6
Steps for installation
(1) install Virtual box on your operating system and make sure u create 2 partitions
c 15 GB and d drive around 10 GB
allocate 2 GB of ram for the virtual machine
(2) after completing the installation of XP in your area start Virtual installation Oracle 11 gb database that the path for Oracle home or in drive D most of the time oracle Installer chooses D drive if not good to change the D drive.
(3) now install weblogic server keep installing type as typical, and install the application in the end uncheck 'run quick start '.
(4) installation portals Oracle, forms, reports and discoverer - name of file (ofm_pfrd_win_11.1.1.2.0_32_disk1_1of1, 2, 3, 4) - unzip all files four zip and place it in the same folder and the open disk1 and run the installer. during installation choose install only software. Note: Do not try to configure.
(5) once who completed unpack the content of second forms which is the file name (ofm_pfrd_win_11.1.1.3.0_32_disk1_1of1) - unzip the contents to a folder and run the installer it will update all the software generated by your previous installation.
(6) now go to step 5 - this time, while installing choose install and configure, it will create the process required to run forms and reports.
Very important note: make sure that your Home of Oracle Directory is "as_1" or else to ensure that that name u give all by performing step 5 and give the name of the same to step 6 and again when you run step 5 _
(7) now all the required tools has been installed now a little tweaking to make it work.
(a) copy the file tnsname.ora from the folder < username > \product\11.2.0\dbhome_1\NETWORK\ADMIN D:\app\ next
(b) paste it in the folder - C:\Oracle\Middleware\asinst_1\config replace the file.
(8) install the version of Java 1.6 or later
(9) move shortcuts to programs and find the as_inst1 Oracle Instance classic-> Forms Services-> start weblogic server
(10) make shortcuts of programs and find the as_inst1 Oracle Instance classic-> Developer Tools-> Forms Builder
You now have your Oracle Forms and reports ready. If something is wrong in the right steps you forgive me (but tested a few times).

Hi all

I think you would have to remove and back up/tmp at all the less for the new permissions to take effect. I would not have thought that it is a dynamic change that takes effect by simply changing the file.

the error of java that I encounter in oracle 11g when I using jdm
I have finished a java data mining program, it can work in oracle 10g. But now, I must apply this program in oracle 11g.
What should I do to make this work always in oracle 11g?
The pot have been replaced with 11 g pot. But when I debug the program, programName m_ of the BuildTask is always "dmsys.build_program" and it should be "sys.build_program".
Then when it is running to the executeTask, the error occurred.
