Oracle 11g installation on Oracle Virtual Box shape [solved]

Hi friends I want to share my experience in oracle forms and reports on Virtual box installation if this post has already been done by someone, I'm really very sorry to post again. My intention is only to make installation as easy as possible, and for your information, this isn't a full installation of forms in itself, it's just for people who would like to work on a standalone machine.

Software requirements

(1) oracle Virtual Box
(2) Xp professional edition - 32-bit
(3) Oracle 11 g Server
(4) Weblogic server - specific file name I used for the installation is (wls1033_oepe111150_win32)
(5) portals oracle forms, reports and discoverer - file name (ofm_pfrd_win_11.1.1.2.0_32_disk1_1of1, 2, 3, 4)
(6) portals oracle, forms, reports and discoverer - file name (ofm_pfrd_win_11.1.1.3.0_32_disk1_1of1) - Patch
(7) Java 1.6

Steps for installation

(1) install Virtual box on your operating system and make sure u create 2 partitions

c 15 GB and d drive around 10 GB
allocate 2 GB of ram for the virtual machine

(2) after completing the installation of XP in your area start Virtual installation Oracle 11 gb database that the path for Oracle home or in drive D most of the time oracle Installer chooses D drive if not good to change the D drive.

(3) now install weblogic server keep installing type as typical, and install the application in the end uncheck 'run quick start '.

(4) installation portals Oracle, forms, reports and discoverer - name of file (ofm_pfrd_win_11.1.1.2.0_32_disk1_1of1, 2, 3, 4) - unzip all files four zip and place it in the same folder and the open disk1 and run the installer. during installation choose install only software. Note: Do not try to configure.

(5) once who completed unpack the content of second forms which is the file name (ofm_pfrd_win_11.1.1.3.0_32_disk1_1of1) - unzip the contents to a folder and run the installer it will update all the software generated by your previous installation.

(6) now go to step 5 - this time, while installing choose install and configure, it will create the process required to run forms and reports.

Very important note: make sure that your Home of Oracle Directory is "as_1" or else to ensure that that name u give all by performing step 5 and give the name of the same to step 6 and again when you run step 5 _

(7) now all the required tools has been installed now a little tweaking to make it work.

(a) copy the file tnsname.ora from the folder < username > \product\11.2.0\dbhome_1\NETWORK\ADMIN D:\app\ next
(b) paste it in the folder - C:\Oracle\Middleware\asinst_1\config replace the file.

(8) install the version of Java 1.6 or later

(9) move shortcuts to programs and find the as_inst1 Oracle Instance classic-> Forms Services-> start weblogic server

(10) make shortcuts of programs and find the as_inst1 Oracle Instance classic-> Developer Tools-> Forms Builder

You now have your Oracle Forms and reports ready. If something is wrong in the right steps you forgive me (but tested a few times).

  • Oracle Virtual Directory for SSL configuration

Hello experts, can you please help me understand whether a typing error in Oracle Enterprise Deployment guide for IDM http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E25054_01/fusionapps.1111/e21032/toc.htm#BEGIN, port of the OID is mentioned in Oracle Virtual Directory for SSL configuration - section 9.4.2.2. Why port ODI?

The guide mentioned how to configure OID for SSL in section 7.4.3.2 and here he mentioned port 389 OID! For example, during Setup for OVD, is not that we are supposed to talk about port OVD. Please help me clarify this confusion. BTW, in many places, the guide says clearly, if you have OVD, you mention port OVD here...

    Thank you
    Jyothi

Specify the port OVD. I think that by default it's 6502.

    Kind regards

  • Oracle Virtual Directory - store Local adapter creation

    Hi all

I had an Oracle virtual directory server integrated with three different Active Directory server.

    Active Directory1: UO = group1, dc = company, dc = com
    Active Directory2: UO = Group2, dc = company, dc = com
    Active Directory3: UO = GROUP3, dc = company, dc = com

I had created three different LDAP adapter for three Active Directory servers.

    LDAP Adapter_AD1: OU = group1, dc = company, dc = com
    LDAP Adapter_AD2: OU = Group2, dc = company, dc = com
    LDAP Adapter_AD3: OU = GROUP3, dc = company, dc = com

Now, I had created an adapter to store Local to all three cards. When you create, that's fine. Throwed is no exception. But when I see the data of the browser window, I was not able to browse and verify the data.

Same Oracle Access Manager is not able to bind with the user credentials.

    Very urgent solution. Help, please

    Thanks in advance,
    Sandeep D

You must manually add this node in OVD using an ldap client.
    Do the following-
-Bind for OVD using an ldap client
-Open "dc = company, dc = com", which will give you "no object".
-Add "dc = company, dc = com" with appropriate attributes and dcObject objectclass
Now you should be able to draw on "dc = company, dc = com" ldap searches

    It will be useful,
    Sam

  • Oracle Virtual Directory 10.1.4.3

    Hello

What all the backend directory servers and database servers are certified to work with Oracle Virtual Directory on linux redhat AS4 10.1.4.3?

I tried to look for more information on this, but could not do. What I've found is the following: http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/ias/files/idm_certification_101401.html#BABCABFC

He talks abt 10.1.4.0.x, but there is no mention of 10.1.4.3

    Pointers would be welcome.

    Thank you.

    Hi Daniel,.

MetaLink (notes 778969.1) points to the same document for 10.1.4.3 certification as well.

  • InInstall ' 32-bit win XP' under ' 64 bit Win 8.1 "in a" Virtual Box"

    • I have my own old copy of Windows XP.
    • My current operating system is 64-bit Windows 8.1
    • I have some software that only works on 32 bit windows.
      • Can I install my 32 bit Windows XP in a "Virtual box or Machine" or "Hyoer-V" in a 64-bit Windows 8.1 environment?

Yes, you can run Windows XP in Virtual Box or Hyper-V (if your processor supports).

Windows 8 integrates into hypervisor called Hyper-V.

This requires that your processor supports the translation of the secondary addresses.

To see if your processor is supported:

Press the Windows key + X

    Click on programs and features

Click on turn Windows features on or off

See if you can check off Hyper-V and all its options of void

If this isn't the case, it does not support Hyper-v.

You can use alternatives such as Oracle VirtualBox or VMWare Player.

  • OEM Windows 7 running on top of Virtual Box

I don't have the CD and I do not understand how works the "recovery" of the operating system. But I want to load CentOS on my HP P6570t and then load Virtual Box and THEN load my copy of windows OEM 7. I got the product key and the key to CD using Magic Jelly Bean... is the best way to do what I want to do?

Also, when CentOS begins to load, it will ask if I want to use the entire disk, is there a way I can keep the automatic recovery of Windows 7 copy or should I care even if I have the product key and the CD key?

    Thank you

    Steve

    Steve,

What you have and what you want to do, will not work as you have described. Product key / CD key, you got using Magic Jelly Bean, is invalid for activation. This is a SLP key and requires a SLP/SLIC BIOS v2.1 and corresponding SLP certificate counterpart to preactivate factory HP Windows installation. Magic Jelly Bean captures all the necessary information and Magic Jelly Bean works only with non - SLP keys.

Recovery is a process that returns the computer to a 'factory as a State. " I recommend you create your personal HP recovery discs before you change anything. Without these records, you will not be able to easily reinstall the factory OS, customizations of HP, HP software to value added and HP Recovery partition. If you create these disks, you won't have to worry about the "HP Recovery" have deleted partition.

You can use the information available on this HP Forum thread titled 'How to install Windows 7 without the disc', download Windows 7 and install it using the Windows product key on the COA Microsoft attached to your computer. This will install Windows 7 and activate it, but you won't be customizations of HP or value-added software.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

  • Sun Virtual Box & Toshiba Satellite L10 - recovery settings problem

    Hi-

I had a problem with my Satellite L10 and earlier could not get full recovery settings after installing Virtual Box from Sun and ignore warnings from Microsoft.

I suspect that this has now cloned my drive. Something is very very wrong. I use Win 7 beta in the meantime but want my XP back.

Here are my notes at Sun Microsystems:

If anyone has had the same experience or that Toshiba recommends?

    Thank you

    Hello

Virtual Box from Sun is not known to me and I don t know what happened with your installed Win XP on the HARD disk (if you have the OS installed)
Usually, you should be able to boot the system by using safe mode, restart your computer and start pressing F8 on your keyboard. Select an option (last good configuration, etc.) when the Windows Advanced Options menu appears, and press ENTER.
    Check it!

If you are able to start in Win XP then you can use the System Restore tool and will mark the BONE to this early time until Sun virtual machine has been installed

  • Installation of MS Virtual PC 2007 on my XP Professional SP3 platform issues.

Problems with the installation of MS Virtual PC 2007 on my PC of Office XP Professional. Tried several times. Program crashes at halfway through and not complete the installation.

    Hi Nareshsubra,

    1. do you get an error message?

We recommend that you check whether your system meets the minimum requirements of the system.
    See Virtual PC 2007

If so, then disable all non-Microsoft programs, and then try to install Virtual PC 2007. To do this, try the following steps:
    a. open the article: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310353
    b. method 2, follow steps 1 and 2, and then restart the computer.
    c. install the program.
    d. in the article, follow the steps in the "steps to configure Windows to use a Normal startup state" section, and then restart the computer.
    e. start the program and verify its operation.

  • Virtual Box: Windows Vista SPK 2 do not install Visual Studio 2010 SPK1

Using Virtual Box in my Mac OS X Lion Mountain.

I have pretty much Windows Vista to date for SPK2 in Virtual Box.

Try to install Visual Studio 2010 SDK, but I get an error (I forgot what it was because I am at school right now typing this) saying that a component is first necessary or something Visual Studio 2010 is first needed.

But as I understand it, it's that should not install Visual Studio 2010 perfectly in Windows Vista SPK2?

All the system requirements are met. What else do I need first before installing VS 2010?

    Good day!

  • Dual boot + virtual box or vmware

I bought a new laptop with windows 7 Home premium.  I already got the dual-boot (despite the difficulties of the uEFI) with linux.
What I want to do, comes from another partition (windows or linux regardless of the i begin) to be able to run the other inside the virtual machine.
Both can start natively, but reboot can be sometimes annoying.  I know I can run linux with hardware acceleration (3d support and all) of my windows partition using the virtual machine;  But if I boot in linux (and this isn't a request on how to configure vmware or virtualbox, I'll figure that part out and you downloaded the documentation) windows 7 will throw a tantrum if it detects hardware vmware/virtualbox instead of normal material its expected?

more precisely, whenever I have Exchange using windows 7 in virtualbox/vmware, to start in native mode, or vice versa, is there a need to call and explain to someone per square metre that my copy of windows is legitimate?
(with windows xp, I think it would have been possible to use hardware profiles so I could boot natively virtually without m$ with a problem, but this feature seems to have been deleted.)

my heart is not on assistance from vmware or virtual box, I have both and am willing to try a third option if recommended.  I just want to be able to start practically and start the same windows partition natively without having to call and activate on a regular basis.
