Oracle ADF + WebLogic session with browser

Greetings, community!

I use Jdev 12.1.3. Authorization in my project's handwritten, in two words the Application starts with a parameter in the URL, and it is converted to user_ID.

Test case:

(1) start the browser

(2) start without parameter-> application he drives user "Error Page", it's ok

(3) to open the new tab or in the same tab, you try to start the application with the parameter-> browser displays "error page".

(4) close all browser instances

(5) start the browser

(6) application of start with the setting-> it works fine

(7) open another tab, close the first tab and go to the application with the new setting-> it shows page until closed in the previous tab

WebLogic and browser have a kind of session? There are some way to cope? IWAS monitoring cookies, but they are clear...

What is the scope?

"Use a task flow range variable pageFlowScope on sessionScope to support."

multi browser tabs - ADF supports the users open several tabs of the browser on your

request. From the point of view of the user, these are two separate connections to the

demand, and thereby the State for each should be separated. Variables stored in

sessionScope will be shared between the two tabs of the browser as only one instance of the

sessionScope bean is instantiated. If not for the beans pageFlowScope one is

instantiated by the browser tab. »

    the problem is that I have a few pages too large jsff, should I add scrolling to the dynamic tab?

    Kind regards

    If you use a container that can be scrolled if the area is too small, it should work out of the box. Check Oracle ADF: a model with a behavior, if you add a scroll of type panelGroupLayout to the region, it should amine if the tank is too small.

    I use jdeveloper 11.1.2.3.0 and weblogic installed 10.6 on the Linux server

    Hello.

    The process goes like this:

    1. install 11.1.1.6 on your WLS app development Runtime.
    2. create a field and, possibly, the servers managed
    3. apply patches to install ADF 11.1.2.3

    From the release notes:
    ADF 11 g Release 2 must be installed as a patch on top of a 11.1.1.6.0 existing installation execution of Application development. The steps in the upgrade 11.1.1.6.0 server to run 11.1.2.0.0 ADF applications is described later in these release notes and documented in the Guide to the administrator for Oracle Application Development Framework. Well, the two wires are for older versions, the problems described are resolved now.
    All I had to do is the second solution of the first thread (change nodemanger properties).
    Then start the node Manager, then the administration server. The first time, you must start the server managed via the administration console. After all, stop and start again all servers are OK.
    Have you checked that the Ast targeting libraries to your managed server?

  • Oracle ADF: How to develop a web application to adf with a team of 10 members

    Hello, we need to develop a web application using Oracle ADF and jdeveloper 12 c. It is a great project as we develop this application with a team of members of dimension 10. Our doubts, this is how we can develop a web application using a team.

    Suppose we have 10 modules. Each module was developed by each Member (each Member is using a different system with the same environment. JDeveloper 12 c). Finally to develop all 10 modules how we can combine all 10 modules in a single application. How we can change the links, the page flow and connection details.

    Help, please.

    Thanks in advance.

    ADF is built for the development team. Features such as the ADF libraries, bounded task flows and nested application modules allow developers to work on separate parts of the project and then merge them into a single application.

    Follow the video that Timo has pointed out and read the section of the documentation on reusable components: https://docs.oracle.com/middleware/1213/adf/develop/adf-web-component-reuse.htm#ADFFD1846

    Regarding version control (and track tasks, make automated etc generations) - an option to consider is the Cloud Oracle Developer Service.

    I use the version of the JDeveloper IDE with the logical Web server and Apache Derby network server - 10.8.2.2.

    I made all the changes or the steps in the tutorial.

    No idea why the automatic update does not work on my system?

    Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

    Hello

    two suggestions

    1 set the property clientComponent on the field of output annual salary to 'true '. Because the field is an element of output text sometimes what makes a client component helps the update.

    2 obtain the completed application to http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E37547_01/tutorials/tut_rich_app/labs/richclient.zip and check if she works there. If this works it then the problem is in your implementation. But then you have a working example to compare with.

  • Size of session causing Oracle ADF viewScope bloat

    I'm sure you know, ADF introduced some additional scopes (pageFlowScope, viewScope and backingBeanScope) on top of the standard JSF ones. Our use of one of the stretches of the ADF, viewScope, seems to be the cause of the size of our session to swell over time.

    Objects that are view scope (for example, our Backing Beans) are managed by the ADF and seem to be put in the session in an org.apache.myfaces.trinidadinternal.application.StateManagerImpl object $PageState. The number of these objects when the session is equal to the org.apache.myfaces.trinidad.CLIENT_STATE_MAX_TOKENS in our web.xml configuration file.

    Once all the chips are 'used', sailing around the application, one of these objects is removed from the session and (should be) garbage collected at some point. However, the recovery of this space is observed much later, after the end of the session. For this reason, what a load of test the application, we see the use of heap space gradually, increasing before causing the JVM to crash.

    Tracking the creation and destruction of our objects is done by adding instructions log in the default constructor and the finalize method (which overrides the finalize on object method). Statements by logging on the creation of objects are visible when we would expect them, but logging of the finalize method statements are seen only after the end of the session. When a garbage collection is triggered using Mission JRocket Oracle control we see the use of heap down significantly, but observe no logging calls the finalize method.

    Anyone got any ideas on why the garbage collector would not be able to recover items from sight after having been removed from the session?

    Thanks in advance.

    P.S. I found already VIEW SCOPE IS NOT RELEASE PROPERLY in ADF which is a closesly related thread, but unfortunately could not use the answers there to solve our problem. I also posted this same question on Stack Overflow (http://stackoverflow.com/questions/13380151/lifetime-of-view-scoped-objects-oracle-adf). I'll try and update the two sons if I find a solution.

    Hello

    I tried to reproduce the problem on JDeveloper 11 GR 2 (11.1.2.3), but after 5 minutes to go back and hard, my server does not crash. However, I did some changes to your code. You can try to replicate using the following minor change?

    Instead of
    / * Method to redirect to page two. */
    Public Sub goToPageTwo()
    {
    VR;
    {
    FacesContext.getCurrentInstance ().getExternalContext.redirect ("pageTwo.jspx");
    }
    catch (IOException e)
    {
    e.printStackTrace ();
    }
    }

    I changed it to
    public String button_action() {}
    Return "goPage1";
    }

    where "goPage1" is a case of control flow, I set on my taskflow boundless.

    Well hosting Cloud Oracle ADF applications is for the ADF * 11.1.1-then you will not be able to deploy an application developed with * 11.1.2 thereon.
    If you don't want to revert to the version support for JDeveloper, I suggest that you look in the other accommodation options.
