• broken FBDA process!

  I tried to evaluate the data archive flashback (FBDA) on GR 11, 2 (EL5).
  
  Something was wrong, while I was trying to come back at all, remove archive, the tablespace and table down with history. Maybe I did it in the wrong order.
  
  But now, I have the following 'broken' State:
  
  -an archive of flashback FLA1, you can try to let it go.
  

  drop flashback archive fla1;

  Oracle will say, he fell, but he didn't. It is still visible in dba_flashback_archive. With an owner, I already dropped...
  
  -dba_flashback_archive_tables shows no table, that is done.
  -dba_flashback_archive_ts displays the tablespace FLA_TBS1 who also was abandoned and does not appear in the dba_tablespaces or dba_data_files...
  
  In addition, the operating system reveals the FBDA as an undead:

  The phonebook of TRACES (diag) - I found a huge trace file (< SID >fbda< PID > .trm .trc). The *.trc file contains thousands times three following error messages:

  Now, how can I clean up this mess? How can I get this process to death?

• Java plugin for Oracle hangs after the last update

  As part of the requirement of the Oracle, we run JRE 1.7.60

  Thanks for your reply, but I doubt that flash player is related to do with Java.

  And the Java applet crashing in my browser, I guess, should not be linked to my graphics driver, especially since the only update that took place was an update of firefox.

  In any case, Firefox for some reason any launches 2 additional tabs when executing the Java Applet (IE does not work). In the past, I'm used to close the first tab, since it contains nothing except an Oracle logo.
  However, it seems that after the last update of firefox, if this tab is closed, it cause Java to crash.

  Therefore, do not close the additional tabs by the Java Applet. However, this has never happened before, do not know what has changed in the latest version of Firefox to make it happen now?

  Note that you need the Web-IcedTea Plugin installed and it is a different implementation of Java as the Oracle's Java plugin (formerly Sun), while the Oracle does not detect this plugin.

It is free to use, and there is assistance available forums which are also free. The free version has all the features of the business, with a couple of limit: first of all, it will only access a carrot in your CPU. Second, the maximum data size is 4 GB.

• Connect to the Oracle database fails when you use Microsoft ODBC or OLE DB Driver

  There was a problem when you apply the KB3126587 hotfix where connections to an Oracle database using the Microsoft ODBC driver fails if run from automated processes. Running the same process manually would succeed. The update issued KB3147071 solved the problem successfully.

  Yesterday, several patched have been applied and the problem came back. The patches are: KB2862152, KB2868626, KB3163244, KB3168965, KB3170455, KB3163251.

  I saw yet no acknowledgement or difficulty of Microsoft. I prefer not to uninstall security patches, but it is a problem of production.

  Any ideas what specific patch maybe breaking it again?

  It seems to be a time-out on this query.  My software is located 20 minutes for a query.  MS SQL server is set to unlimited for remote queries (we did it to help isolate the timeout).  So, I guess the wait time that is happening at the level of ODBC driver.  Someone has all understand how to solve this problem?
