Oracle Forms - Deactivation of custom Code

Hello.

To disable a custom code in Oracle Forms (EBS R12, help-> Diagnostics-> custom-> Code), are calls to CUSTOM.pll the only thing that is disabled, or are there other things that are "Custom Code" too?

Thanks in advance.

  • How to post several lines in oracle FORM

    Hello

    I created a custom form that has a header block and a block of retail. the retail block can have multiple lines. I have a requirement that lines (multi-line) block detail data will be validated during the recording of the record. Please indicate how we can do?

    Please note that the data are not saved and yet, it will be validated during registration or any click of a button.

    Please notify. It is urgent.

    Thank you

    Pirre

    Make the echo of Christian question... What do you mean by "validating"?  You have not yet defined what it means in your scenario!

    Is your retail block a block of the base table, or a control block?  Rather than the trigger key - Commit, you could use the triggers we insert or we--update since these will be triggered for each line that oracle Forms will insert or update.  If you want to keep your validation in the trigger key code - Commit, you will need to loop through all the rows in your detail block and validate each line manually.  If the validation logic is the same for inserts and updates - you can put this logic in a unit of program (procedure) and then call this procedure in the Insert and update triggers on.

    What about using the trigger when-validate-Record?  This trigger fires as you navigate from one line to the other, but it will save a loop block (if you continue to use the "enter" key).

  • Did someone from Oracle Forms to APEX

    Curious of APEX and if anyone out there has successfully migrated to oracle forms apex?

    Thank you
    Jim

    To answer your question from forms to APEX vs go to Java:

    Forms and APEX use PL/SQL as underlying coding language.
    This means a very small learning curve for developers of forms, where to spend in Java is a learning curve that is massive if you do not already have the skills.

    Code reuse must also compare.
    The APEX forms conversion utilities produce pages of the APEX forms-based and can work well for you.
    The APEX team say utilities give you an advance on the conversion, but additional work is needed.
    Similar products for the forms to Java applications on the market.

    My point of view on such tools is your duty generally better rewrite the application from scratch.
    Your use of a different technology with different requirements of the user interface and is also interesting update to use the features available today.
    Of course, this can be cost-prohibitive.

    What features of the user interface, you can do much more in APEX or Java forms because you have much more control over the output.
    If you wanted to match the function for the feature with the shapes, you may need to do a little extra work.
    APEX 4 presents the Plugins, allowing you to develop your own custom components if necessary.

    Ultimately, the question on migrating to Java or APEX boils down to the strategic direction for your company and your developers skills.

    For me the forms to APEX was extremely easy, APEX felt immediately familiar.

  • Delete the Message to save Oracle Forms in a block of master / detail

    Afternoon and Happy Friday people.

    I use Oracle form 6i.

    I have a master-detail block in my form. They both have several records. When I make changes to the block of retail and I navigates to another record of the block Master, he asks me "do you want to save the changes that you have made?" Yes/No/Cancel options. This is the message embedded in Oracle and not our custom save the message. I also noticed that when I say 'Yes' to this message, it does not in the trigger key - Commit who defeated the purpose of having the trigger key validation.

    Now, this message is coming due to a relationship of the master / detail? Also, what trigger I would seek to trap this message?

    Finally, I also noticed that this message (oracle save message) appears after our own custom message when I said 'No' to our personalized Message to register.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    I was wondering why forms brings the Message of the Oracle of inbulit when I'm sailing up to recording the Master block next

    The retail block must be erased when you navigate to another master to "make room" for the details of this new form of Basic. So, if there are changes in the retail block, forms asking the user what should happen with the changes. If you want to manage this situation yourself, put your own code in the WE-CLEAR-DETAIL-trigger before the call to CLEAR_ALL_MASTER_DETAILS;

  • Oracle forms is it possible?

    Hi all.
    I am a java developer and I'm not familiar with form of oracle 10g.
    Recently, I had a project on the digital signature of web forms (in java). So the idea was: we have applet that runs in the client browser, it uses the JSObject to collect all the fields and values of CUSTOM web form and create the xml document to be signed. This applet is like a lib.
    I do the same thing with a form of oracle.
    Is it possible: collect the oracle on the client form elements? The form is custom that is unspecified and count items.

    If possible the next step is to verify the signature xml on the server. So how does the oracle forms. Is there a server side. What is architecture? The XML could be passed to the server and how the oracle form elements must be accessible on the server (I need it to check xml code).

    I will be happy if you could help me quickly.
    Excuse me for my bad English: (.)
    Best regards.

    Yes, but these items associated with this painting in particular, and, as I already said, a Forms application contains more than one canvas.

  • Console debugging Oracle forms 6i

    Hello

    where the Oracle forms 6i debug console?

    There is no 'Debug' menu, and I can't find the debug anywhere console.

    Forms 6i debugger is not the Debug Console with the form window values (for poster modules currently loaded and the item values and parameter),

    window spy (to specify the variables you want to monitor when your application debugging)...,.

    but we can get such information (in the ugliest way) in the pane Navigation Debug Forms 6i.

    We also use debugging triggers which are a general form of debugging action involving a block of PL/SQL code with a specific line within a program unit.

    See, for example. This using Forms 6i:

    Debugging triggers are particularly useful as conditional breakpoints.

    You can throw the exception of DEBUGGING. Break UP with a trigger.

    For example, the trigger for debugging below sets a conditional breakpoint on line 10 of my_proc, which will be achieved only if the my_sal local variable NUMBER exceeds 5000:

    PL/SQL > line 10 is

    + > IF Debug.Getn ('my_sal') > 5000 THEN

    + > Lift Debug.Suspend;

    + > END IF;

  • When possible in Oracle Forms to insert a second line based on 1st row, so why not in the ADF?

    Mr President

    When possible in Oracle Forms to insert a second line based on 1st row, so why not in the ADF?

    The user just enter data in the Module of sales in one line of a Bill as below

    and it is displayed in two rows in financial Module.like below how to proceed in the ADF.

    You can see that invoice line contains the sales tax and the gross sales amounts, then it is posted to the financial Module above two lines.

    How to make ADF

    Respect of

    What I realized, this is:

    -You have a table in you screen.

    -You call CreateInsert 2 times to create 2 rows at the same time.

    -You will enter value in a specific column (c1) line1

    Looking for the value that you entered in row1 can be completely copied in the same column (c1), but in line2. is this correct?

    If so try to do the following:

    1. in the table inputText (c1) column set autoSubmit = true and setValueChangeListener to a method in backbean

    2. in the inputTextValueChangeListener method to write this code

      public void inputTextValueChangeListener(ValueChangeEvent valueChangeEvent)
      {
        DCIteratorBinding tableIter = (DCIteratorBinding) BindingContext.getCurrent().getCurrentBindingsEntry().get("tableIteratorName");// write table iterator name from pageDef.
        for (int i = 0; i < tableIter.getViewObject().getEstimatedRowCount(); i++)
        {
          ViewRowImpl myRow = (ViewRowImpl) tableIter.getRowAtRangeIndex(i);
          EntityImpl entityImpl = myRow.getEntity(0);
          if (EntityImpl.STATUS_NEW == entityImpl.getEntityState())
          {
            System.out.println("New row found");
            myRow.setAttribute("AttributeName", valueChangeEvent.getNewValue());// write attribute name
          }
        }
      }

    3 - Add inputText id in the partialTrigger table

    4 - pageDef. Set of table iterator rangeSize = "-1".

  • Oracle Forms - "DEFAULT_WHERE" is lost when used an apostrophe

    Hi all

    I faced a problem with Oracle Forms for a long time and I have no idea of what is happening so far.

    I have a block based on a stored table. I used the following statement to set the WHERE clause for this block:

    set_block_property ('MTI', default_where, l_where);

    Variable l_where has the following form:

    l_where: = ' WHERE art_nr IN (')

    || "SELECT the md5 ma_nww_ww_dat art_nr."

    || 'WHERE trunc (sysdate) BETWEEN md5.gueltig_ab AND md5.gueltig_bis'

    || ' AND UPPER (md5.art_bez_altern) AS "' | : gi_intern.txt_match_name | '%''';

    The problem arises when the user tries to search for an article, using the MATCH_NAME an apostrophe (for example, GRANT). In this case, the where conditions are lost and all records are returned as a result.

    Could you help me understand what the problem is?

    Thank you very much!

    Raluca

    I think you should put the link reference inside the clause, instead of its value.

    I mean: If you set the where_clause ' like mycol. "' | : my_item |' % "'

    you to hard-code the value of: my_item at the time of the set_block_property.

    I could do this instead (simplifying):

    l_where: = ' upper (md5.art_bez_altern) like: gi_intern.txt_match_name | » %'' ';

    Thus, the: my_item value will be assessed at the moment execute_query, and I think that forms will address the apostrophe in the variable to better link if hardcode you just what you do in your example.

    It is, forms will treat it in the same way it would if you were query mode enter and entering a filter: with variable binding.

    In fact, I think that this kind of filter you can even enter at the time of the design (with single apostrophes)

    In addition, liaison is supposed to be better for the performance of subsequent queries.

    http://www.Pitss.EU/fileadmin/Pitss/images/de/White_Papers/White_paper_BIPublisher_WebServices.PDF

    But I need to know one thing, as mention in link, weblogic user/pwd in the java code for authentication with BI Publisher, above

    My Question here, what is the best way to manage authentication with BI Publisher while integrating with Oracle Form?

    I think, in a document, just to mention for example,

    It will not be advisable if keeping the user weblogic/pwd in Java code, at the end of this java code becomes a jar file and deployed to the server and then downloaded to the client computer. ensure that completely and the values are hardcoded, if the password change question once again, this means having user/pwd in jar will never be a good solution.

    For a quick overview, I'd do it keep advice the user/pwd in db in encrypted form and access to oracle form with decrypted and pass the value in the api ReportServiceClient.CallRunReport)

    If you feel, every time you need to access user/pwd of db and decypte it, that I advise you here, get user/pwd when set in the context of db and out of context with decrypted.

    Another may be the best idea.

    Kind regards

    Afzal.

    Forgive me if I am oversimplifying this, but why not just base your block of data to the table: XXTABLE.  Then, you just put your form in design query (F7). Enter the value of 1122 in the area of the INVOICE_NUM and selects Execute Query (F8).  Then forms does all the work to extract and display the records without having to write code to do this.  This saves you having to write the code to perform and DML as well because the forms will take care of the Insert, Update and Delete automatically when your users click on save or press F10 (if I remember correctly).

    If you must absolutely query and display your data manually, then you cannot use the standard SELECT INTO method because it will only show 1 record.  You need to loop through your recordset and to manually edit the records in your block after you assign a value to the line.  For example:

     /* Sample Button Code */
    DECLARE
      v_invoice_num NUMBER := BLOCK.TEXT1;

      CURSOR Get_Items (p_invoice NUMBER) IS
      SELECT INVOICE_NUM, ITEM_CODE
      FROM XXTABLE
      WHERE invoice_num = p_invoice;
     BEGIN
      GO_BLOCK('BLOCK');
      CLEAR_BLOCK(NO_VALIDATE);

      FOR rec in Get_Items(v_invoice_num) LOOP
      :BLOCK.INVOICE_NUM := rec.invoice_num;
      :BLOCK.ITEM_CODE := rec.item_code;
      Next_Record;
      END LOOP;
     END:

    I really don't like this method, but it could work.
