Oracle hosted Instance of APEX is down Again... :(

Just to inform people, I was watching a demo one of the blogs of the APEX, when I tried to launch the demo application, the site was showing the Oracle Corp. site unavailable message.

I can offer a suggestion here... The links that are on this web page are INTERNAL servers to Oracles, so they don't REALLY offer help to people outside... They evolve is the pages to NOT display the links or change links to display USEFUL information about time to stop planned or current state?

Thank you

    First: DUPLICATE is NOT restore!

Second: If a database hits ORA-1092.

There will be errors in the alerts log.

Before even this announcement, you should examine the error online and browsed the alert.

Troubleshooting is any dumping using ctrl-c/ctrl-v and sitting with your shoes on your desk and your hands behind your head to whistle and wait for replies to come.

  • Divs in fluid grid div suddenly not left-align, right-most on each line travel down again

Hey everyone, I need help! Last night my site worked perfectly well, and somewhere along the way, I made a change so that I can 't understand. There are all the divs on my site, the first two of the three are always aligned horizontally, but the third and last div is pushed back down again once. What baffles me the most, is that it is somehow changed on every page of my site, not just one, I'm working on. Could someone tell what could have caused it? As well, it seems still exactly how I want it to look mode live view, but as soon as I load in a browser, it is inconsistent, and I tried it in all major browsers with the same result. The body of the pages seems to be fine, it's only the divs that are crazy. I'm sure it's to have something to do with changing margins, but I don't know what part needs to be changed or what to put too exactly.

Karl, this is expected behavior when you use a remote CSS style sheet that is linked to all of your HTML pages. While you can have your attention on an HTML page, any changes you make to the CSS will apply immediately to all pages using this CSS stylesheet.

In rare cases where you want to apply a PAGE only FOR ONE single CSS rule, Insert rule in a style block in the head section of this page only, or you can even use a style inline on the unique element.

Yes, I see that you calculate trial and not a trial PaaS.

For a PaaS trial, go to https://cloud.oracle.com/database

Hit so he touches and then sign up for an account PaaS. During registration, do not select the drop down which contains the BRUTE to CALCULATE value.

This should give you a trial PaaS.

  • Double authentication with Oracle EBS at the APEX problem

    Hello

I am currently working on a project to integrate with Oracle EBS 12.1.3 4.2.4 APEX. We have completed the recommended white paper Oracle configuration.  I joined at the request of the APEX of a responsibility of BSE, when I click on the page of the APEX of the EBS, it navigates me to the login page of the APEX, and after I entered my credentials is to show the "No data found" error on the page. Then when I click the OK button again once he navigates me to the login page of the APEX and is validate my login information, allowing me to enter the APEX successfullly.

It's really us boring for double login controls. Appreciate your help with this problem as soon as possible.

    Database: Oracle 11g (11.2.0.2)

    Version APEX: APEX 4.2.4

    Oracle EBS Version: R12.1.3

Application servers: Apache TomCat 7.0.56 (for APEX), Oracle HTTP Server (EBS)

Web listening port: Oracle REST Data Services (2.0.6)

Authentication: Custom authentication (login page validates users EBS)

    Thank you

    Sudhakar

It seems that the constructed URL is not allowed. We EBS do not build a valid string. You can see where he puts "CallFromForm" and then adds "& p =...". "URL.

The white paper mentions a required patch, you need else to resolve this problem.

Use the gateway FND. If you do not need to pass parameters through your form to Apex, Oracle now provides a GWY.jsp which allows you to launch the Apex. Install the patches of R12 12316083 and 12726556. Then use the GWY.jsp based on your shape as described in the white paper "Extending Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 using Oracle Application Express".

Patch 12316083 is mentioned in the white paper, you are missing the 12726556.

    Description

This bug solves the problem of pitcher APEX, at the launch of a whole page of APEX

Oracle E - Business Suite forms according to the user interface. An additional url

parameter 'CallFromForm' used to be added to the URL of the APEX, which was originally

    APEX page to fail.

  • Listener of the APEX and several Instances of APEX

I APEX 4.XX and Apex listener 2.0.5 and I'm really interested in the configuration of multiple instances of the APEX to browse the same listener.  I found information on how you create your multiple connections, but I'm really confused by the portions on how you configure your URL cards.  In my case, I'm insterested in something in the sense of https://apex.example.com/prod/ https://apex.example.com/dev/ https://apex.example.com/pprd/ where each of them is APEX running on a different database.  I am amendable to prod a straight downhill https://apex.example.com/ until I could install some sort of application of default homepage instead of directly providing the login page for this instance.  Can anyone offer guidance in this type of installation?  I am ok if you need is to have the URL in the sense of https://apex.example.com/apex/ https://apex.example.com/apex/dev/ https://apex.example.com/apex/pprod/ if they should be.  Note my deployment is on Weblogic 12 c and I use SQL Developer to admin the listener.

The headphones are so light, I have one foreach (in virtual boxes)

I prefer to keep listeners on separate servers, because it is easier for me to check that I'm not about to run 'truncate table... ". "on the production.

    (my $0,02 worth)

Dev, I have multiple DB connections.

Grade a (http://Host/apex) points to my box of 11 g of real development.

The secondary one (http://Host/apex/a12) point to my box 'playground' 12 c.

For the 12 c, URL mappings are: (SQL Developer 3.2 and 4.0)

The rule of Type = URL path

    Routing rule = http://Host/apex/a12

After that I got it to work, I have not played with any other options/ideas.

  • Plugged in the new maps the host network but show as 'down' in vCenter

    Hello

I hope someone can help me.  I'm under ESXi 5.1 on 3 different servers.  They each have 4 network cards, but for some reason when our IT installed in the data center, they decided to connect just 2 network cards in each server in our dedicated physical switch.  They presented themselves as vmnic0 and vmnic1 in vCenter and can be used.

I asked them to connect 2 additional network cards they have done today.  These are connected to the same physical switch. They appear as vmnic2 and vmnic3 in vCenter.  They are always displayed as "Down" for the speed and 'None' for the observed range of IP addresses.

I tried to restart a host without change.  I connected to one of the hosts through Putty to try to get him to help

    # esxcli network nic place vmnicX - n

But that does not change. No error is given, but when I list the network cards they always see down and still there in vCenter.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you

    Mike

    Hello

your team must inspect the physical switch configuration. Maybe the ports are disabled or a VLAN configured wrong, etc..

    Thank you.

Yes, you can restore and recover the backup, but not at the moment. You will only be able to restore and recover at the time of your backup.

    For example.

If you take backup (mount point with no mode of journal archive) at 06:00 and your grave database crashes at 21:00, you will be able to restore and recover until 06:00. You will find all the changes made to the database between 06:00 and 21:00.

If you want your database to recover until 9 PM or until a point in time, then you must put your database in log mode archive, and then save the archives.

  • DEV and quality assurance within the oracle single instance

We have our DEV and QA in a single instance of oracle. Scripts that refer to table in DEV names will be copied on to QA DEV quality assurance tests for unit tests at the end. DEV, extract us data from 5 source systems, one for each State of the United States, which use the same application, so the names of the source tables are identical, and so in our staging area we have a scheme by the State such as TX, GA, MD and we extract data in tables that are identical to the staging tables. As cross us the aggregation state our scripts should refer to TX.employee and GA.employee in the same sql statement.

What is the best design for this using SCHEMAS, DATABASES VIRTUAL PRIVATE, VIEWS, SYNONYMS etc.?

    Thank you in anticipation

Just for my knowledge, if I found myself in this situation of VIRTUAL PRIVATE databases would make sense here?

I guess that you could possibly use VPD. But it would create major problems if you have always wanted to make schema changes - you could not add a new column to a table in DEV, for example, without this column is also available in AQ. You could not have code in DEV that does not exist in QA. I guess you could really get fancy and use g 11 edition redefinition to have an edition of dev and qa edition but I wouldn't think how to promote prod code in this kind of environment. In addition, editions is a characteristic of the company (at least, I'm not sure if it is an extra cost option) which would tend to be beyond the solvency of the company trying to save on licensing costs by combining dev & qa in a single server non - VM (and even less in the same instance).

You may have your application use any dynamic SQL so that dev could use the DEV_TX while QA scheme used the QA_TEX schema and it was only the schema of TX in prod, but that obviously never gets old very quickly. You can create a single set of synonyms the synonym TX_FOO points to DEV_TX. FOO for users of dev and TEST_TX. FOO for test users, but then you will have to remove qualifiers to schema of all your SQL queries.

In short, an application like you describe trying to share an instance would be a pretty massive undertaking.
