Oracle Jucheck American. com
It keeps poping up asking me if I want to put it on my hard drive, I said yes and no. But he keeps doing.
Hi JackieFregeau,
1. when exactly you receive the pop-up message?
2 did you do changes on the computer before the show?
3. do you have Java installed on the computer? If yes then which version of Java?
Follow the suggestions below for a possible solution:
Method 1: If you have Java installed on your computer then you can update the same thing and see if the problem still occurs.
How to test if Java works on my computer?
http://Java.com/en/download/testjava.jsp
Method 2: I also suggest that you scan your computer with the Microsoft Security Scanner, which would help us to get rid of viruses, spyware and other malicious software.
The Microsoft Security Scanner is a downloadable security tool for free which allows analysis at the application and helps remove viruses, spyware and other malware. It works with your current antivirus software.
http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx
Note: The Microsoft Safety Scanner ends 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again.
Important: During the scan of the hard drive if bad sectors are found, the scanner tries to repair this sector, all available on which data may be lost.
Let us know the results.

The Oracle HTTP Server come FREE with the Oracle database
Hello
Please let me know if Oracle HTTP Server are FREE with the Oracle database.
Also any idea how much it would cost roughly to buy independent?
Thank youPlease let me know if Oracle HTTP Server are FREE with the Oracle database.
If this is a related issue of license then better check with the sales representative in your area. Oracle sales team can only confirm the details.
As far as I know if a product is delivered in another product then product main price includes the price of the licenses for all.
Example: OEM license purchase, will include the license for Weblogic.

I wanted to tell temp is never off allocated. So, if a 'bad' query explodes temp. the only thing you can do is to create a new and drop the old one.
11 GB temp is clearly ridiculous. Usually, this is caused by the merge join Cartesian paths in your instructions.

HassanHi Hassan,.
Is there a way to determine which application is locked this port that I tried again with a different port number and always the same result
I don't have any other application or OracleAS application server running on the machine that supposedly can block a port.Do you have any product Oracle installed on the same computer? Please see the referenced above.
You can try with a different port pool (i.e. 1 instead of 0) and see if you get the same error or not.
In addition, see utility Portmon which can be downloaded from http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896644 for a list of ports that are used on the same machine.
Thank you

Oracle DW and necessity of date type.
Vast majority of designing data warehouses use the granularity of the fact to the date level table. In oracle, you can use only the data type of date (which is not really date rather datatime) to represent the date in truncating the time part of it.
But it allocates even 7 bytes for headaches from it. One of the competitions of this Oracle the true DATE type that takes just 3 bytes to store the value of type date. You can imagine how much storage space you can save using 3 bytes instead of 7 paintings done great. I think that Oracle needs to come with a similar option soon. It will help a lot in performance and the use of disk space.Not really relevant to this forum. The title of the forum clearly States ' * + don't post Product - Related Questions here + * ".
As to the question that you raised - RDBMS Oracle supports advance user-defined data types. You can easily implement a data byte 3 type date personalized if you wish.

We use Studio R and R, and it's understandable, it does not handle large sets of data very well.
Since R is open source and free, I was wondering that if Oracle Enterprise R was also free, but I see this article of PC World (http://www.pcworld.com/businesscenter/article/249509/oracle_stakes_claim_in_r_with_advanced_analytics_launch.html) that seems to indicate that it is not.
Is anyone able to confirm pricing on this? We don't have (and don't want) the Oracle Advanced Analytics software (with Data Mining, Hadoop, etc.). We are looking just to get on the company R. Is it possible (without cost?)OK - R Oracle Distribution is packaged with Oracle Linux and comes with the Big database server. Distribution R Oracle is installed on the server of database in integrated support R run using Oracle Enterprise R. Oracle supports Oracle R customer distribution Oracle Enterprise R and Big Data Appliance. Improvements are planned for the Distribution of R Oracle, so stay tuned for more information.

RLY thx for the help I'm dsapointed :/
I tried to use a sample listener.ora, but got the same error, the file is not ignored, but it doesn't work.
There is no listener proc, I need to have a process like that, I guess:
/U01/app/Oracle/product/11.1.0/Db_1/bin/tnslsnr inherit LISTENER
I don't see anything on port 1521:
netstat | grep 1521
Did not pass 10g and 11g

Tip: instead of posting/check together .trc file content, it is often enough to write the article nserror and a few lines before, at least to start with.

Import of Oracle and the export utility
Hi all
Could someone please explain me Oracle Import and Export Utility. I went through the link below and it was mentioned to use the keyword "exp" but I don't get any idea where to use. To explain the functioning of the util.Hello;
Export creates a logical backup its great to move the tables, diagrams, etc.
Import bring data back in.
You can use a parm file with either.
Example of import:
IMP parfile = in .parm
in.parm ( contains ) userid=system/
fromuser=scott touser=scott file=in.dmp log=in.log parfile = out .parm of EMP
out.parm ( contains ) userid=system/
owner=scott file=out.dmp log=out.dmp statistics=none You can use these commands at the operating system level to get quick help.
imp help=y enp help=y
You can export a subset of a table:
exp scott/t
tables=emp query="where deptno=20" You can use options like:
full=y BUFFER=2000000 GRANTS=y COMPRESS=y
This utility is replaced by the data pump.
Best regards
mseberg
There is a short import and export examples here:

This worked before? If so, the changes have been made recently?
'FRM-92095; Oracle Jinitiator Version too low. "Please install the 1.1.8.2 version or higher.
I don't really know what that means.
Oracle EBS R12 comes with JRE, so you are not supposed to download any version of Jinitator. If you have already installed, uninstall it (via Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs) and then check.
Can someone give me the steps on how to solve this problem - when I open a form on the client computer.
Can you reproduce the problem by using a different browser? What happens if you try from another machine?
If please run AutoConfig and make sure that it ends successfully.
Thank you

Send an e-mail using the Oracle database
Hello!
I installed Oracle 10 g (10.2.0.4) and I need to send an email using this database. In some notes said to run the following script, but in my case Oracle I don't have the owner "MailSender" or the AptMail function.
Start
dbms_output.put_line (mailsender. AptMail ('p_from', 'p_to', null, null, 'p_subject', null, 'p_smtp_host', null, null, null));
END;
Can someone explain if it is the right method to send an email using the Oracle database? If so how can I install it?
Thank you
AugustoOracle 10.2 comes with UTL_MAIL package.
Give it a read through the documentation. It's pretty simple to use.

How to use oracle APEX remote with a database located on a remote server
Hello
I am a new user with the Oracle Technologies. I installed ORACLE 10 g XE and APEX upgrade version 4.0 on my laptop.
My Manager has setup a remote server with a Linux Red Hat. He has installed on this server EBS R12 with a 11i database.
As a training, I would like to play with the tables on the server with APEX 4.0 installed on my laptop.
The server is on the same local network and as a result of the description above, it is possible to connect my local APEX in the database?
If this is not the case, this means that I have to install APEX on the 11i Server database, and then connect to the server to play with these tables?
Thank you very much for your time and support the members of the CCSE.
Kind regards
UlrichHi, Ulrich,.
Yes, you can access another database from your database to the APEX. The mechanism used for this is called a "database connection". You create such a link of database in your local database, then you can access remote data like this:
SELECT * FROM databaselink@EMP ;
If you want to use remote objects in APEX you create local views to encapsulate this (search the forum for apex and database links, you will find some interesting discussions).
