Oracle listener does not not on vmware server 2 guest OS Centos

I write here because I think that this problem can be related to my network on the host vmware server setup 2 OS.
I installed Oracle 11.2.0.1 on Centos 5.5 64 bits in a guest VM with a Windows 7 64 host OS. The Centos operating system runs well and the Oracle database that I created works fine locally (i.e. from a terminal in the vmware console or telnet/SSH window). The networking of virtual computer is set to bridged and I can ping the VM or ssh on the virtual machine to any other machine on the network.  However, I manage to tnsping database from any other machine on the network. When I try to tnsping from windows (with the input of appropriate tnsname) machine, I get a TNS-12541: TNS: no listener. When I try to tnsping from another Linux environment (with the appropriate tnsnames entry), I get the following:

$tnsping demo

Here's my tnsnames entry in the linux environment from which I will carry out the tnsping (192.168.1.74 is certainly the IP address):

I must admit to be a bit confused about the 2 separate managers and the 'demoXDB.localdomain '.

I copied the file listener.ora to a similar environment that works correctly, stop and then restart the listener, checked my repeatedly tnsnames entries etc. I wonder if the problem may be related to the fact that this environment runs in a virtual machine. Maybe some special network configurations are required for the NIC VM - I solved many problems of sqlnet over the years, but it baffled me. Any help is very appreciated.

There are a number of ways.

1 use a JNDI connection configured in WebLogic and select by name

    2. use the LDAP connection or TNS - see http://docs.oracle.com/middleware/1213/edq/DQEXT/config_dbase.htm#DQEXT202

    3. Add an oracle.xml file in [local disqualification home] / dbconnectors with the following content. This will allow you to select the service name in the standard Oracle data store wizard:

Is there any solution to get rid of this problem?

    It's a matter of timing.

First thing that should be launched is the listener. Who should be started on boot. For a laptop or another machine which uses the DHCP protocol, the listener must be configured to talk to the loopback adapter.

Then the database should be started to talk to listening on the port of sight to the listener - it is applied either with the "LOCAL_LISTENER" database being left to null (for the default listener on 1521). This can be checked by "Lsnrctl status" showing the instance of database such as saved and available.

Then the SQLDeveloper can start up, pointing to the same host, port, and service/instance, as shown in "lsnrctl status".

I am unable to run any form of generator of forms, I get the error frm-10142 (http listener does not)

When I connect to the console like this:

and click on deployments (11.1.2) formsapp is listed with the new State

When I click on environment = > servers the following is listed:

    Name State listening Port

    AdminServer (admin) being RUN 7001

    STOP WLS_FORMS 9001

    STOP WLS_REPORTS 9002

When I connect to the EM with http://127.0.0.1:7001 / em

and under Farm_ClassicDomain, I open the forms node, and then click Forms

then, in the form of deployments, it is empty

    the weblogic server is running

    OS: 64-bit windows 7

    forms: 11.1.2.2.0 64-bit

    WLS 10.3.6

could it be caused by a recent update for java 8? (java version = 1.8.0_60)

    any ideas?

    KR

    Martin

If you want to start the console servers, nodemanager must be running.

Go to you $DOMAIN_HOME/bin folder and user batch file to start servers:

    StartManagedWebLogic.bat WLS_FORMS

You will be asked for weblogic credential.

Last output message should be something like this: "server started in OPERATION."

Then you can try to access the forms.

    Hello

Make sure that you use right tnsnames.ora as you have it installled oracle developer suite after installation of the database so it could change your ORACLE_HOME as a result of developer. You have 2 choices

    1. replace oracle_home installation of oracle database in the variables env control panel system
    or
    1 copy the tnsnames.ora, listener.ora under Developer suite... location/networ/admin.

If you are using on your local computer, you do not have this and you should be able to connect but if you use it is not bad either.

  • Listener (and the database instance) does not start automatically: ORA-12514: TNS:listener does not currently of service requested in connect descriptor

Hi all... I am a newbie with oracle database.,.

I have the problem of monitoring:

I installed Oracle Database 11 g R2 XE on my CentOS 6.5 guest operating system.

I changed the host name in my CentOS so (where installed oracle 11g R2 XE) after the installation was completed successfully.

Installation-) before and during the hostname is localhost.

(-) After the installation, I changed the host name in VMCentOS

From the moment where I changed the host name, nothing starts automatically. In particular, the listener and the database instance does not start automatically.

When I start the listener manually and I try to connect to the instance of database with SQLPLUS I get this error:

ORA-12514: TNS:listener is not currently of service requested in connect descriptor

I think that the problem is due host name changed because I have to test and debug the object, re-installed a machine virtual operating system CentOS, re-installed oracle database 11 g and I do not have this problem. The database instance and the listener starts automatically!

Can someone tell me if, maybe, the problem is with the host has changed? ... and why?

P.S.: After changing the hostname I also modified the listener.ora and the tnsnames.ora by changing the HOST with the correct host name.

    Hello

It seems that you don't install Oracle Database Express Edition (XE). If you post this question in the wrong forum.

When you install EA or there is no script that starts the database at startup.

If you wish, you can create by yourself. For example search for instructions to Google how to create script.

    Kind regards

Start by watching clusterware alertlog and check the config network of the second node. If the basic config is very good, you can try with netca or command line (oifcfg, iflist,...).

Could someone help me please in this regard. I am stuck and had to reinstall JDev, not being able to solve this problem.

    Sincerely,

    Mahesh.

    Mahesh,

JDeveloper almost always has problems when the installation folder path contains spaces. For example, your way "C:\Oracle\Middleware v11.1.1.6\".

I suggest that you reinstall JDeveloper in a path without spaces. You may be able to get away with just rename the folder "Middleware_v11.1.1.6".

    Hello
To avoid the Frm-10142, I put this in the form designer... Edit Menu-> Preferences-> DURATION.
    Give the application server URL:

    ?. 255.?. ? : 8889/forms90/f90servlet

some time? is the real number of the real IP. But then I again:
FRM-10142: the HTTP listener is not running... Why?

    Many thanks and best regards,
