I have a c# Silverlight + Oracle dashboard with RIA services.

I published in my computer and it work ok. But in the server it doesn´t run.

I don't know what to do. It works just before.

Guys,

I modify the machine.config to the machine.config.default and everything works.

Thanks again for your help.

    Hello

    We are trying to deploy our application on a server that has no Oracle client installed. We use the managed dll dataAccess with entity framework 5. Our web.config file contains the following:

    Oracle.ManagedDataAccess.dll is in our Bin folder.

    At run time, we get the following error: ORA-12541: TNS: no listener.

    The earpiece works very well. My thought is that something is missing in our configuration. When we add some debug information for the value of context. Database.Connection.Database we get empty string that make me think that the information in the configuration file does not in the run-time application.

    Any thought on what might be missed?

    Thank you

    Ken

    The XML tag should be . All lowercase. In your configuration file, you pulled profit some letters in the tag. It's probably why ODP.NET can't read XML.

  • error in a WPF application using oracle.manageddataaccess.client

    Hello

    We have problems with a WPF MVVM using Oracle.ManagedDataAccess.Client application. We installed oracle.manageddataaccess.dll release 12.1.0.1.0 on a developer machine with 64 bit of Windows 7, Microsoft Visual Studio 2013 and Microsoft .NET Framework 4 OS. Installation seems to be ok and oracle.manageddataaccess.dll results to be registered in .net\assembly\GAC_MSIL c:\windows\microsoft. But when we try to compile the application, the following errors occurs

    Error 175: The ADO.NET provider with invariant name 'Oracle.ManagedDataAccess.Client' not is either not saved in the config machine or the application of the file, or could not be loaded

    errors are caused by the entity data model files (there is an error for each .edmx file).

    Note that the application works on another computer with the same configuration, so I guess that the problem is due to a bad setting on the computer

    any idea?

    Hello

    Finally, we have solved the problem! simply, we uninstalled and reinstalled Visual Studio and Oracle.manageddataaccess in this order. Now it's working. Thank you

  • Web site: error Client with Web Services

    Howdy.  I try to use web services ServiceContent and PropertyCollector objects into my vSphere client Web application.  I borrowed code example in the SimpleClient and PropertyCollector examples for my application.

    I put the parameters hardcoded for the server URL, username and password get the ServiceContent object.  However, when I call retrieveServiceContent() (see below), I get error 'Invalid Cookie', although vimPort returns a serviceContent non-zero.

    serviceContent = vimPort.retrieveServiceContent (SVC_INST_REF);

    Later I try to use this object as well as PropertyCollector serviceContent to try to retrieve a reference to host by host name, but the call to _vimPort.retrievePropertiesEx () fails with the error "Connection Refused", perhaps because of the invalid cookie.

    Any ideas?

    Here is the solution to the problem that other people can have:

    -You call an action on a custom object and want to access the vSphere API of the java code for this action.

    -If you only pass a custom object reference it not will give you access to the vCenter serverGuid the way, which would be a reference of vSphere object (see samples/vsphere-wssdk-service/src/main/java/com/vmware/samples/vspherewssdk/VmDataProviderImpl.java ) because the serverGuid of the object has nothing to do with vCenter.

    -The solution is to use the objects global UserSession which contains the list of the ServerInfos with the IDS of connected vCenter.

    -However, you still need to provide a way to choose the vCenter just in case there is more than one (in the user interface, or may be by other means)

  • Why Oracle ManagedDataAccess (4.121.1.0) throws a System.FormatException "first chance" exception to the debugger when you use OracleCommand.BindByName (on some machines, but not others)?

    Why Oracle ManagedDataAccess (4.121.1.0) throws a System.FormatException "first chance" exception to the debugger when you use OracleCommand.BindByName (on some machines, but not others)?

    This occurs when calling a ref cursor-returning packaged function stored with OracleCommand.BindByName set to true.

    When BindByName undefined, it works as expected.

    I've only been able to recreate this problem on a machine in my control. This issue has also reported to me by a customer.

    I tried to change the locale of the system of EN - UK EN-US, but I was not aware of any change in behavior.

    Similarly, I've tried explicitly overriding the default locale of the system with the OracleGlobalization parameters, and it also had no effect.

    Please see the example below.

    Thanks a lot to qualify again for me Alex.  I'll try upgrading to the latest version of the provider.

    The difference in behavior between the two hosts was found to be reduced to differences in configuration VS.

    Checking 'Just my code' prevents the first chance thrown in the debugger exception. As in fact, the exception is handled in the provider, it is enough for me.

    Alex,

    Finally, we have solved the problem.  It turns out that we had a bad x 64 home path in the PATH variable.  I lost track of what it was originally, but I'm sure the x 64 bin path was correct. I did not notice that it was wrong, until I tried to install the full client and began to see an error indicating that it was missing a dll.  This led me to a post on the forum, in which you indicated that the PATH variable has not been set (ODAC 12 c for xcopy issues).  In our case, it is not missing, just fake.

    This is the behavior that we see if the PATH variable for the home directories and bin is incorrect:

    • Full client: an error of external system (no exceptions).  The error message is that the oraons.dll is missing.
    • XCOPY customer: generates an exception without error message.  The Exception.Message property is empty and there is no inner exception.

    Can the ODP team can add a meaningful message for this exception?  If the exact error cannot be highlighted during execution, a generic name on the path audit would help enormously.  I must have looked at it a dozen times and didn't notice that it was false.  If I had no idea that this could be the cause, it would be discussed more in detail, or had someone else Verify that it was correct.  I hope that we would have solved much earlier.

    Thank you.

  • Cast 'ManagedDataAccess.Client' to 'DataAccess.Client '.

    I get the error 'Cannot be cast to an object of type 'Oracle.ManagedDataAccess.Client.OracleConnection' to type 'Oracle.DataAccess.Client.OracleConnection'.' when trying to do something like

    EntityConnectionStringBuilder myConn = new EntityConnectionStringBuilder();
    myConn.Provider = "Oracle.ManagedDataAccess.Client";
    myConn.ProviderConnectionString = "username = *; password = *; "DATA SOURCE = *: 1521 / *";
    myConn.Metadata = @"res://*/Model1.csdl|
    RES://*/Model1.SSDL|
    RES://*/Model1.MSL ';

    new Entities1 (myConn.ToString ());

    Suggestions?

    If you have an .edmx model, there is a reference in it to Oracle.DataAccess near the top. You need to change that to Oracle.ManagedDataAccess in order to use the client managed with it.

  • Oracle.ManagedDataAccess OracleSessionStateStore

    I'm having a problem, when I try to use Oracle.ManagedDataAccess in a Web site, as well as Oracle.Web. I have configured the web.config file for Oracle.ManagedDataAccess along with other projects that I have, so I believe that the configuration is correct.

    However, I get an error of Oracle.Web.SessionState.OracleSessionStateStore he's trying to use Oracle.DataAccess, NOT ... Oracle.ManagedDataAccess!

    Can someone give me guidance here?

    Thank you

    Oracle ASP.NET providers do not yet support managed ODP.NET. ODAC 12 c Release 4 will include this support. In fact, for .NET 4 and beyond, only managed ODP.NET will be supported with suppliers ASP.NET this liberation and in the future. For 2 and 3 .NET, only non-managed ODP.NET will be supported for ASP.NET providers.

  • Error with Oracle.ManagedDataAccess.dll

When the Sqlnet.ora file exist, managed application must ldap.ora file but is not using the tnsnames.ora file from the location specified in the ldap file. »

    Here are the Sqlnet.ora content:

    sqlnet.ora # Network Configuration file: C:\oracle\product\10.2.0\client_1\network\admin\sqlnet.ora

    # Generated by Oracle configuration tools.

    # This file is actually generated by netca. But if customers can opt for

    SQLNET. AUTHENTICATION_SERVICES = (NTS)

    NAMES. DIRECTORY_PATH = (LDAP, TNSNAMES)

    NAMES. DEFAULT_DOMAIN = Server.Sample.com

    In conclusion, we are moving. However, on the side of the Oracle, it might be interesting to try to avoid a NullReferenceException in OracleInternal.Network.LDAP._LDAP (Hashtable dsMap).

    Once again, thank you for the continuous dialog box!

  • Give advice about uninstalling the database Client Oracle under Windows with multiple Oracle homes

    Hi all.

    Probably a Client of Oracle database uninstall will arrive in a Windows box, where there are several houses of Oracle:

    (1) the Oracle Database 11 g Client is.

    (2) the House of Oracle Oracle database server.

    (3) oracle 6i Oracle Home.

    I have these concerns:

    (1) do I stop Oracle Services NOT related to the Oracle Home being deleted? I guess that's not necessary, but it is recommended?

    (2) the YES program to run must be or is better to use the YES program located at removed Oracle (Oracle Client to Database 11 g in this situation)?

    "(3) I see there are additional post - installation according to section 5.3 steps"manually remove the Oracle database Client components remaining' the Oracle Client Installation Guide for Windows.

    Could someone provide the additional steps or recommendations?

    Sorry but I do not trust the windows plataform much!

    Thanks in advance!

    Best regards, Luis!

    Hello myluism,

    You can use the oracle supplied binary dinstall to uninstall oracle binaries that you can download from this url of Oracle Database 11 g Release 2 for Microsoft Windows (x 64) that looks good in your context.

    In addition, you can also uninstall the binary files by running the dinstall respecitive houses Oracle located in the path: ORACLE_HOME\dinstall.

    Please go through the url: https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E11882_01/install.112/e47959/deinstall.htm#NTCLI1326

    I hope this helps.

    Thank you and best regards.

  • Tips for creating an application with web services please?

    I created a simple application for a client who interacts / monitors a device VISA with LV 2009.  The architecture is essentially a state machine with a timeout for VISA calls that retrieve the current state.

    The client asked that the app will also be controlled via the web and asked me to set up a demo with one or two simple functions.  I have the experience to bring charges against the Server Web LV7 model, but not with web services.

    So here's what I did...

    (1) added a line to my application that would inject actions in the state machine.

    (2) created a simple VI pushes these actions in the queue and plans to use it as the Web Service.

    And then I followed the examples for Web Services, thinking that the Web server is running in the same program as the development environment, such as the version LV7.  This doesn't seem to work.

    Could someone give me a quick overview on how best to do that, or to report an article?  I have simple working WS, but here are a few questions...

    @ Jed Davidow:

    We met this difficulty with our web app (LV 2009) as well.  Because now we feel the solution the easiest way is to activate the VI server in your main application (EXE) VI and place calls to its hierarchy of web services in the open Application > VI Open > call by Ref > close VI > structure to close the Application.

    Although we try to minimize the use of the present in web services, it makes sense for some resources shared and accessible throughout the world as references to database, configuration globals, etc.

    I also note that there seems to be an instability that we have not been able to identify which may (or not) be attributed to the use of this technique.  The symptom is LabVIEW from memory immediately at some point.

    I am currently looking into migration towards 2010 LV, and it seems that the same constraints between instances of the application are in place.  I expect that, but I was expecting some more simplified with the next version of LV interprocess communication methods.

  • Integrate Oracle BI Publisher with Oracle Form [authentication]

    Report & Oracle FMW 11g R2 (11.1.2) form

    Oracle BI Publisher 11.1.1.6

    Oracle Database 11 g Release 11.2.0.4.0 - 64 bit Production

    With the help of the link below, I want to integrate Oracle BI Publisher with Oracle form

    http://www.Pitss.EU/fileadmin/Pitss/images/de/White_Papers/White_paper_BIPublisher_WebServices.PDF

    But I need to know one thing, as mention in link, weblogic user/pwd in the java code for authentication with BI Publisher, above

    My Question here, what is the best way to manage authentication with BI Publisher while integrating with Oracle Form?

    I think, in a document, just to mention for example,

    It will not be advisable if keeping the user weblogic/pwd in Java code, at the end of this java code becomes a jar file and deployed to the server and then downloaded to the client computer. ensure that completely and the values are hardcoded, if the password change question once again, this means having user/pwd in jar will never be a good solution.

    For a quick overview, I'd do it keep advice the user/pwd in db in encrypted form and access to oracle form with decrypted and pass the value in the api ReportServiceClient.CallRunReport)

    If you feel, every time you need to access user/pwd of db and decypte it, that I advise you here, get user/pwd when set in the context of db and out of context with decrypted.

    Another may be the best idea.
