Oracle planning and budgeting Application model

Hello

I would like to know about this new feature of 11.1.2.4 - planning budgeting Application model and Oracle. Where can we get more details about this?

I would like to start with a demo app DRM using Oracle planning and budgeting Application model.

Thank you.

You can find the application model planning-app - template.xml in the installation of DRM to the player: \Oracle\Middleware\EPMSystem11R1\products\DataRelationshipManagement\server\app-templates

  • In the planning and budgeting Cloud served in staff planning

    Hi Experts,

    Planning and budgeting Oracle Cloud Service (SEEP) he pre-build modules Workforce Planning, capital planning and planning of project finance.

    According to my understanding SEEP is not all pre-build modules. I'm not so recently it was added or not, so I wanted to check.

  • Plan planning and the application of the restrictions of type name name?

    Can a type of plan cause the same name as the name of the planning application? I know it can in essbase, wasn't sure about planning. Also, are there reserved names in the measure in the plan of types\application names? i.e. I can cite my custom application WrkForce, considering that it is the same name as hyperion uses to plan effective module type?

    Thank you

    Yes you can call it with the same name, there are some restrictions highlighted in the doc of admin who, as associated with essbase - http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E17236_01/epm.1112/hp_admin/apbs01.html

  • Deployment of Oracle Express and Java Application in a single installation

    Is it possible to deploy a Java application using Oracle express as the back-end in an installation? So in other words, rather than the installation of oracle express separately from the application, we seek to install from an executable file, including the java application and all the necessary components for oracle express to run.

    Your help is greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

    Mahmoud

    Hello

    You can install the database using a response file. Depending on the setup of your Java application, you can create a sort of meta-Installer creates a response file for the database and a response/parameter file for your application setup program and then run both in a single step.
    See the corresponding [url http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E17781_01/install.112/e18802/toc.htm#BABCCGCF] section of the Setup Guide for more information about the answer file.

  • Integration between SEEP (planning and budgeting Service Cloud) and BIC, BIC & ERPCS

    Hi all

    I have two scenarios:

    I capture/take ERPCS transactional data and to report to the BIC.

    I capture/take the analytical data of SEEP (cube) and to report to the BIC.

    Can someone please shed some light on the requirements above, especially from the point of view of integration.

    Also, share any integration doc. If there is.

    Thank you

    Ashish

    Hi Ashish,

    It would be a two-step process. You can extract the data of SEEP down using the Rest API of SEEP to a location on site and then you will have to download on BIC for reporting.

    https://docs.Oracle.com/cloud/latest/pbcs_common/crest.PDF

    Integration is on the roadmap, but it is not yet available.

  • Oracle 11G and application server installed on the same server

    What are the advantages and disadvantages installation of Oracle 11 G database and Oracle (forms and reports) application server on the same server?

    Thank you in advance, Sonya

    Some people might want their data in an area of separate network for security reasons.
    It also depends on if it is the same people who do maintenance on db and appserver.

    It is at a lower cost with a single server and only 1 Os to implement.

  • How to plan the propagation process and/or application

    Hi all

    Is it possible to predict the spread and application during the Oracle Streams configuration?, I mean, I don't want to run replication online because I have other object outside the Oracle who need to reproduce within the db to get my aplication (red only) in sync.

    So, when I can do? Here is an example of process apply and spread:

    BEGIN
    DBMS_STREAMS_ADM. () ADD_SCHEMA_RULES
    schema_name = > 'shm '.
    streams_type = > 'apply ',.
    streams_name = > 'apply_from_db1 ',.
    queue_name = > "strmadmin.from_db1"
    include_dml = > true,
    include_ddl = > true,
    source_database = > "db1.world"
    inclusion_rule = > true);
    END;
    /

    .....

    BEGIN
    DBMS_STREAMS_ADM. () ADD_SCHEMA_PROPAGATION_RULES
    schema_name = > 'shm '.
    streams_name = > 'db1_to_db2 ',.
    source_queue_name = > 'strmadmin.captured_db1 ',.
    destination_queue_name = > '[email protected] ',.
    include_dml = > true,
    include_ddl = > true,
    source_database = > "db1.world"
    inclusion_rule = > true,
    queue_to_queue = > true);
    END;
    /

    Perhaps, am I is not clear to my question, or maybe I do everything in the bad sense on propagation processes and the workflow application.

    So, I looked in all the documents available and I can't find how to plan the process... What is the part that I am missundertanding?

    As long I have it other non Oracle objects (system files objects, we say that some objects in ECM file system related with data) to replicate with the data schema, I can't replicate any changes to the schema of the source table to the schema database of fate (automatically). So, I'm replicated ECM file systems objects in other external tool (with build-in Windows Calendar integration)... but how I can program spread and/or application treats in the middle of stream 2-way?

    Please, I need a hint of someone as soon as possible.

    Thanks in advance.

    Your question is not very clear, so here's what you need to know abot schedules DBMS_STREAMS_ADM and spread:

    The schedule is done automatically when you add the spread with DBMS_STREAMS_ADM.
    This API DBMS_STREAMS_ADM encompass several other APIs:

    -DBMS_CAPTURE_ADM,
    -DBMS_RULE_ADM
    -DBMS_APPLY_ADM
    -DBMS_PROPAGATION_ADM.
    -DBMS_AQ_ADM

    This DBMS_STREAMS_ADM is supposed to make things easier, but it takes an important definition default values, so that you see all the actions that are performed as they are done quietly behind the scenes.
    The establishment of the regular spread is on of these silent setting and the time that occurs with a never ending cycle to wake up/run/sleep.
    The duration of sleep between 2 execution is defined by DBA_QUEUE_SCHEDULES. LATENCY

    From the spread itself, it's a job. When the next execution is set to null, he reschedule itself, like an endless loop.
    Here's how the job will appear:

    set heading on

  • Oracle 11g and partitions on a star model

    Hello

    I am Manager of the Business Intelligence service in a society. We use SAP BI4.1 SP3 and an Oracle 11 g server.

    We have big questions about our various requests.

    One of them is the use of "partition" and how they are used.

    Here's the situation. I have a big fact with data on the inventory table. This table is partitioned with partition 1 per day, using the foreign key 'DATE_KEY"(digital YYYYMMDD)

    I have a CIVIL dimension, whose primary key is also DATE_KEY (numeric YYYYMMDD). Other columns of attribute are like DAY (in a date format), YEAR, WEEK and so on. Very classic.

    Now, I want to execute the following queries:

    (1) to recover the 1 day stock, using the date format of my calendar dimension attribute

    Select sum (stock_quantity)

    of s FACT_STOCK

    inner join DIM_CALENDAR d

    On s.DATE_KEY = d.DATE_KEY

    where d.DAY = to_date('16/02/2016','DD/MM/YYYY')

    (2) get 1 day stock, using the primary key of my calendar dimension

    Select sum (stock_quantity)

    of s FACT_STOCK

    inner join DIM_CALENDAR d

    On s.DATE_KEY = d.DATE_KEY

    where d.DATE_KEY = 20160216

    (3) to recover the stock of 1 week, using the week of my calendar dimension attribute

    Select sum (stock_quantity)

    of s FACT_STOCK

    inner join DIM_CALENDAR d

    On s.DATE_KEY = d.DATE_KEY

    where d.WEEK = 201607

    Results of the explain plan command:

    1)

    expected: it's supposed to used 1 partition because the partition key is in the join

    true: it does not use the partition. All the table partitions are analyzed.

    2)

    expected: it is supposed to used 1 partitionas the partition key is in the filter where

    true: it uses a 1 partition.

    3)

    expected: it is supposed to use 7 partitionas the partition key is in the join

    Real: it does not use the partition. All the table partitions are scanned.

    The behavior is normal? I think that this isn't, but I'm not DBA.

    "If it's normal, partition are completely unnecessary, since I can't say my professional user: 'Please use the technical dimension instead of the calendar attribute key' or 'Please list the day of your week instead of using the attribute of the week'"

    Is it possible to implement dabase settings in order to use the partition.

    Notice the: BF0000 used for pstart and pstop, also references to the "party join filter.

    It is Oracle, creation and use of a filter of flowering of the first entry (small) to identify the partitions that need to access the second table.

    It is possible for Bloom filters identify data redundant, but to identify the partition, they seem to be very accurate.

    It seems that you should have a unique constraint on d.day for your first query, this would allow Oracle to see she had access only a single partition - and which could replace the filter of flowering with a subquery to pstart/pstop and KEY/KEY filter (possibly KEY (SQ) / KEY (SQ)) instead of: BFnnnn

  • HOW TO CREATE AND MANAGE APPLICATIONS OF PLANNING CLASSIC ON EMP 11.1.2.4

    Hi all

    We installed and configured 11.1.2.4 EMP, and was happy to work on planning that was created by using the workspace EPMA until we came across a requirement for reports plan type, coming to the point:

    1. in the EMP 11.1.2.4 how to create a classic application and how to perform administrative tasks, any suggestions would be helpful.

    2 if we conduct EPMA planning application, then how to convert it into classic?

    concerning

    Shahrukh

    Try to run it with - Setting of Applications Using Planning Application Administration

    Is what I'd do to convert a conventional application of EPMA

    Set the property to true EDIT_DIM_ENABLED - Management of Dimensions in Planning Applications deployed

    Restart the planning

    Extract the application of planning using LCM.

    EDIT_DIM_ENABLED property set to false

    Restart the planning

    Remove application EPMA

    Import the backup LCM to build the new classic application.
