Oracle tutorial on interactive reports

Hello

There used to be a tutorial oriented end-users in interactive reports here:

http://www.Oracle.com/technology/products/database/application_express/Viewlets/short_irr_viewlet_swf.html

but it now redirects to the APEX homepage.

Nobody knows where he is now?

Thank you

    Hello

    I tried to create Interactive report on the mobile application using apexea without success. He created the report but under report attributes I don't see report columns and it also gives me no data found error when I try to navigate off region edit and get new.

    Attached are the screenshots.

    Page developed using mobile-theme-51.

    Hi Alwyn,

    always work on apexea? The problem you describe is a bug in the version installed on this system. It has produced if the interactive report icon was not explicitly enabled in the wizard to create a Page, in this case that the IR has not been fully created.

    Please do not import any application created the apexea in the final production of APEX 5.0 or apex.oracle.com version. You will need to re - recreate them from scratch.

  • Oracle Apex Interactive report missing filter column header information?

    Hello

    I use Oracle Apex 4.2, on Internet Explorer 9. I created an interactive report based on the views created in the database (11 g, version 11.2.0.1.0) oracle (workspace = database schema) I use the value of rownum to act as a key to identify the different lines.

    Whenever I try to find the information of one of the column headers for the interactive report (number), I'm not able to find the line, but when I try the same search for "action bar" at the top I am able to see the desired results. That is true of the SQL Developer so know if enter the same information in the filter of the columns, I see the corresponding lines.

    Y at - it an explanation for this behavior?

    Thank you

    Harry

    Hello

    This is a limitation of APEX. Column header filters in IR displayed first 999 distinct values in the ascending (after the application of all the IR filters). For example, you can filter 2310 using 'menu action filter' (as you specify) and then try clicking on the topic 'the number '. Then you must see 2310 here.

    fac586 of course it is a bug in the documentation, but 1 million limit is neither practical nor a way to go.

    Kind regards

    Hari

  • Update of the elements on the Page regarding filters in Oracle APEX interactive report

    I recently started using interactive reports in my Oracle APEX application. Previously, all pages in the classic application reports. The interactive report in my new page works fine, but now, I would like to add a summary box/table above the interactive report on the same page that displays values added some columns in the interactive report. In other words, if my interactive report displays 3 names of separate Manager, 2 separate offices and 5 different employees, my summary (box) will contain a line and three columns with numbers, 3, 2, and 5, respectively.

    So far, I did this job creating the box summed up as a classic report that account of the distinct values for each column in the same table that my interactive report pulls. The problem is when I try to filter my interactive report. Of course, the classic report is not updated based on the interactive report filters, but I don't know how I could link the two so that the classic report meets interactive report filters. From my research, there are ways to refer to the value in the search box of the interactive report using javascript/jquery. If possible, I would like to refer to the value of the filter of the interactive table with javascript or jquery to refresh the summary box whenever a new filter is applied. Does anyone know how to do this?

    Thanks, Patrick! I was always getting some of the old filters for a reason, but I was able to use the tables included in queries to retrieve my ID to report, that I used in the APEX_IR. Function GET_REPORT.

    Thank you

    I get what you mean, but there is always more than one way to skin a cat.

    You can go to the redirect option, I just described the exact feature here
    http://www.grassroots-Oracle.com/2011/09/Apex-tutorial-adding-read-only-option.html

    But you also need to pass the values published far - field or in the "game of these elements" "with these values" options, and if you have a few it can be a pain...

    ... or you can send the page and have some hidden value, or use the value of the REQUEST under the button change to indicate that it is what you do instead and manage your page rendered accordingly. In fact, what you now use the Edit button to indicate what has happened?

  • Resizing an image in interactive report

    Hi all

    I got a report showing the number of columns which is image BLOB. Problem is when massive, that the line can take well more than half of the screen.

    With firebug, I found that if I change add style IMG attribute, (style = "WIDTH: 200PX;") then I can resize.

    But I'm not loss where to insert this. Nothing in the column attribute in the Image column in interactive report that allows me to do this.

    Would appreciate if anyone can share a tip on how to resize image showing the interactive report.

    Thank you.

  • Workaround solution for using PLSQL as a source of interactive report?

    Hi all!

    I have a PL/SQL anonymous block here, I wanted to use as the source for an interactive report. Only, I didn't know that interactive reports supported PL/SQL...
    For example, the code:
    DECLARE
    a_userid NUMBER;

    BEGIN
    SELECT userid
    INTO a_userid
    FROM users
    WHERE UPPER(username) = :APP_USER;
    EXCEPTION
    WHEN NO_DATA_FOUND THEN
    a_userid := 0;

    IF a_userid = 0 THEN
    SELECT distinct a.name AS Foodname, a.foodid AS Foodid
    FROM food a
    INNER JOIN foodunit c
    ON a.foodid = c.foodid
    WHERE a.foodlanguageid = :P18_LANGUAGE
    OR a.foodlanguageid = :P18_SET_LANGUAGE
    AND a.userid = 0
    ORDER BY a.name;

    ELSIF a_userid = :APP_USER THEN
    SELECT DISTINCT a.name AS Foodname, a.foodid AS Foodid
    FROM food a
    INNER JOIN foodunit c
    ON a.foodid = c.foodid
    WHERE a.foodlanguageid = :P18_LANGUAGE
    OR a.foodlanguageid = :P18_SET_LANGUAGE
    AND a.userid = 0
    AND a.userid = a_userid
    ORDER BY a.name;
    END IF;
    END;
    Of course this code will not work because I do not understand everything IN the statements, but just trying to understand what it is that I'm aiming.
    This code point is that when a user is not logged (and visits as a public user page), it must fetch the 'NAME' and 'FOODID"FOOD table lines. I added a column of this table (named USERID) and all rows having the value '0' for this column.
    Now, when a user logs on, he or she has a fixed username (registered in another table, named 'USERS'). A user is able to add foods that they own to the list.

    Of course, a visitor is not supposed to see all food products that have been added to the table by registered users. So, I wanted to show the separate data. Visitors (unregistered) only see the default values (all the lines in which the userid = 0) and registered users should see both added their own food (my username is 1, then I want to see all the lines where the userid = 1) and the rows with default values (where userid = 0).

    I found a way here:
    http://www.oracleapplicationexpress.com/tutorials/71-Oracle-Apex-interactive-report-based-on-PLSQL-function

    But it is not only makes sense to me. Y at - it is an easy way to explain how the tutorial in the link, or you know an easier way? Like making a procedure or something, or a function or a process page and somehow, refer to that in the SQL source interactive report?

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

  • Insert a button Delete in an interactive report

    Hi all

    I just watched this series of tutorials with great interest and made the entire application:

    http://apps2fusion.com/at/KR/391-Oracle-Apex-person-details-tutorial-02-delete-functionality

    Now I'm wondering if it is possible to do the same with an interactive report. Basically, I want to create a button "remove and edit" into 2 separate columns (integrated in the report).

    I add a column zero, but it does not work the same way... am I wrong? Is there another way appropriate to achieve this? I get a strange result (IE can not display the icon etc.)

    SELECT NULL "Button", JJ. CD_PERM, LAST_NAME, NAME, DT_NAISSANCE, SEX, ANNEE_SESSION, CD_PGM, UNIV_ACCUEIL, INST_ABRG, DUREE_SEJOUR
    OF DAF_COURT_SEJOUR_BOURSIER CLSD, GP GEN_PERSONNE, SD DAF_DICTIONNAIRE DAF_TB_INST DTI
    WHERE
    DD.NO_PERSONNE = GP.NO_PERSONNE AND
    DD CD_PERM GROUP CLSD. CD_PERM AND
    CLSD. UNIV_ACCUEIL = DTI. CD_INST

    Sorry for my bad English!

    Thanks for your time

    Jeff.

    Hello Jeff,.

    First an interactive report has a default link column in its properties. Simply go to the details of EI and section "link." From there on out, it will be easy enough to implement one of two buttons. For a second, we'll miss sections link. So for this one, you could do several things, such as the selection of the image of your sql query:

    SELECT '' "Button", DD.CD_PERM, NOM_FAMILLE, PRENOM, DT_NAISSANCE, SEXE, ANNEE_SESSION, CD_PGM, UNIV_ACCUEIL, INST_ABRG, DUREE_SEJOUR
    FROM DAF_COURT_SEJOUR_BOURSIER DCSB, GEN_PERSONNE GP, DAF_DICTIONNAIRE DD, DAF_TB_INST DTI
    WHERE
    DD.NO_PERSONNE = GP.NO_PERSONNE AND
    DD.CD_PERM = DCSB.CD_PERM AND
    DCSB.UNIV_ACCUEIL = DTI.CD_INST

    And just add a link in the column itself.

    It's all totally obsolete with respect to the 5.0 APEX where interactive reports have been completely redesigned and rebuilt.

    To complete the full version number of APEX, always indicate what theme and browser (s) / version (s) you use when asking questions of shape/layout visual layout.

    To go from rank (Zebra) when you use the universal theme distribution in interactive reports, see Re: interactive report - no line scratched?

    For example: If Cambrault LOGIN, only employees under him (Bates, Bloom, Fox, Kumar, Smith, Ozer) and its own coordinates must display in Oracle Apex.

    SELECT last_name, employe_id, manager_id, LEVEL

    Employees

    START WITH employee_id = 100

    CONNECT BY PRIOR employee_id = manager_id

    Brothers and SŒURS of ORDER BY last_name;

    Describe the requirements clearly and completely, using the APEX, Oracle and terminology of web standard.
