Order LUN matter?

If you have joined a LUN to multiple hosts, no matter if the logic unit number number is the same for all hosts? By LUN number, I mean ID SCSI, not the UID.

I would recommend you keep things simple and present the LUNS to all hosts with the same unit logic-ID number. As mentioned previously, using different IDS may not be important with VMFS data warehouses, but could cause problems with RDM (see the link in my previous post).

    On my desk a6763w, my bias shows my HD to be the No. 3 Starter upward and my dvd to be no. 2. 1 is empty, n ° 4 is empty. My first start should not be my HD? On the motherboard it is pluged in Sata slot No 1 and no 2 dvd. 3 and 4 are empty. My bios version is a bit confusing, I'm 5.29!

    I saw your post and I will be happy to explain. The number in the BIOS which shows the unit is not important today. The IDE using older had to but as long as the boot sequence is set up in the correct order no matter what the figures show.

  • Logical persistent RMS - etc. storage.

    I need to set up a high score list for my game. It seems that RMS is the way forward - persistent, but no signature not required, I understand a position elsewhere.

    I implemented the code example for a large list of scores and checked the data is persisted, using the Simulator output and debug. I changed the sort order of output, by exchanging the positions of PRECEDES and FOLLOWS, in return for the method lines compares.

    Looks like I'm to use the class RecordStore to press the code example. I would like to...

    (1) use the getNumRecords() to find out how they are.

    (2) If this number is lower than in, say, 10, add the new partition. or...

    (3) if that number is 10 or more, make sure that the records are sorted in the correct order (ah, what is happening automatically, because the comparison code is always executed in the class, this "Java path" is cool, but foreigners) go then, in that order (they are in this order, no matter what else I can do, I think) and find the record 10. Save the record ID for possible use.

    (4) if the new partition is more than a score of 10, add the new partition. Just use the example addScore method - well, because it seems a bit complex.

    (5) if there were 10 scores, and I added another, I would remove the lowest and retain the record size limited to 10. Since I was the record ID from step 3, I can use deleteRecord on it.

    As I read this, it seems doable. Not the PC right now, try it. I'm missing or misunderstood anything?

    I got the deleteRecord work. He was wrong to try to do when you work with an enumerated list. While the closure of the enumerated list to check if a new partition should be added, if I find that a new record would total more than 10, I save the last record in global int ID, deleteThis.

    Then, in the addScore method, if I find that there is a value in deleteThis, I use deleteRecord to get rid of him. So... should never be a case where there are multiple records to remove.

  • command to restart for virtual machines in a cluster

    Hi all.

    I have a vCenter Server 4.1 (HA, VMotion, DRS active) and a group of 8 ESX 4.1 works perfectly, with some virtual machines on it.

    I was asked if it was possible with vCenter, to restart three virtual machines in a specific order, not matter what ESX, there is on. At first, I thought a rule on the cluster to group them, but then I realized that it was not possible to specify the boot order, but only that they could be (or not) on the same host.

    Does anyone have an idea on how to fix this?

    This sounds like a possible use case of vApps.  You can put VMS in the vApp and then specify the order of start and stop them.

    (3) aPhoto frequently badly chooses picture in the EDIT picture option, I get a picture different than the one I clicked on which is on a 100 pictures in a row.

    I am up to date on all updates for my Mac. If anyone have REAL answers so please spilling the beans, but according to me, it's the only truth is that Apple has rolled out a product inferrer to replace an exceptional product, called iPhoto, which does not work on my new iMac computer 5K of 27 ".   If I knew what I would have chosen another computer that I use iPhoto to prepare more of fifty to sixty thousand photos in a given year and I use iPhoto to make hundreds of slideshows from it.  Are there plugins for Photo 1.3? I ask because I see where there could be Add-ons, but I can't find.

    Apple has taken a serious decision by turning his back to iPhoto and tens of millions of loyal users.

  • No matter in what order I perform changes?

    The Cambridge to color site recommends a very particular workflow when editing photos jpg. This applies also in Photos, or the app optimizes the order of changes? For example if I adjust the color * then * adjust levels, which will give slightly different results for first level * then * color?

    Related: if I apply an adjustment of the color of the picture X and then switch to the photo, I guess that a jpeg of X is saved? If I then go back to X's picture, it opens this same jpeg? And finally, if I may apply a level and then proceed to photo, is a X more saved jpeg image? I ask because there is a small loss of quality that happens with every new save/open, and I think the sequence of changes in the way that involves from Cambridge in colour.

    In which case it is important, I El Capitan & Photos fully updated, on a mid-2010 27 iMac "with 16 GB of RAM.

    Photos for Mac applies all changes to the original image file.  If you have a sequence of changes made, the final image will be made by applying to the original image of the master.  The sequence of changes must only question, if you use using photo editing extensions, because they will create new original intermediate files and all the other changes made in Photos apply to these intermediate files. While the sequence is important, and I would follow the list in the article you have linked to.

    But you can try it for yourself: duplicate a picture in the pictures before you start to edit and apply the same changes on both copies, but in a different order and export the photos that result in the highest possible quality. Compare the exported photos.  When I did, I could not see any difference, as long as I don't have use photo editing extensions.

    Is there that a difference in the way below queries is executed in terms of performance (use of indexing in the extraction).

    The understanding I have the order of the column in the where clause should be identical to the sequence in

    So we run the hot add and remove cases from LUNs in the certification for ESX 5.5 with Workbench 3.0 kit

    The hot add succeeds to the two manual add and periodic scan... Deletion succeeds manual extraction, but a failure in periodicals rescan same removal so it lists the path out of SERVICE.

    So if you see the code above, Vmware itself expected the path to show the death, but they perceive three error codes for the output of esxcfg-mpath - bd < lunname >

    I think they expect an error to return to $cmdError... But looks at though it lists the path as DEAD, she returns to success... So the $deadPathFound is always set to no. He goes into the path of "not YES" and not the test case...

    I would like to open a folder from supported with VMware, but before that I would like to know if someone has faced this problem and had this problem of VMware using any patch in their Workbench... Or if any new workbench has this problem fixed...

In this they executed a more order "peripheral storage esxcli list d lunname" and lists the path as dead and also properly detects the dead path and scored the try with the... Unfortunately I don't seem to have their old code to compare with...

    So basically had the question warm Add Remove Lun. It is a problem in the ESX version we use and scripts of WorkBench. If we use the build ESX GA this would have worked. ESX changed the behavior of the command in version 5.5 of GA to a new approach and then back to the old approach again in 5.5 Update1.

    The version we use are two versions higher than the release of GA... Therefore, the behavior of this command is different between these two versions.

    What the best best Senario for the installation of virtual machines on Big LUN or each VM on LUNS dedicated:

    We planninig to implement 70 virtual machines on Esx 3.5 servers with replication LUN usisng CA of HP 7.

    using 4 Big 800 GB data store on SAN RAID 5 Lun (each LUN will be contains 16 VMS)? or each VM will be deployed in separate small LUN 50 GB data store on SAN, RAID 5 and that this effect on the failure during the procedure on the DR Site if we choose BIG LUNs, also if this virtual machine includes 3 disks (store them on each disk on the different data store or the same data store)

    Remember that the virtual machine is a set of files and these files directly in your data store.  If you have a large store of data with multiple virtual machines, you must replicate the full data on the alternative site store in order to get to that data.  You can't really use greater SAN replication for just the simple vm in a data store.  SAN replication is not really aware of what is stored on it, she replied just blocks he knows.  You can copy the vm files individually as well, but it's more than a copy and not replication.  Otherwise, if you are concerned about vs some other vm, then using a small LUN would work better for you, or warehouses of data at multiple levels allows you to replicate the vm that are important to you and put the rest in a larger data store.

    FCIP/FC/IP doesn't really matter.  Until a table can talk to each other, you're fine.  Our secondary site is hundreds of miles away, and replicate us very well during the period of INQUIRY, from one table to the other.

  • How can I change the order of open tabs?

    I currently have about a dozen tabs open, most need to be read in a particular order. Is it possible to change the order of these tabs? If not, hang a tabs without sliding laterally could become a method of 'release' of the selected tab, allowing it to be moved to the top or to the bottom of the list (I think that it looks like a good and especially easy and possible future addition to the app).

    Adam, unfortunately at the moment it is not a feature of Firefox for Android. To move tabs, you will need to close and open them in the order you want them to appear.

    If this is a feature you want, however, I would recommend leaving your comments on this matter in input.mozilla.org.

  • How can I control the order of the accounts and folders in the folders pane?

    I have several email accounts and most of them share the same base messages in local folders and I regularly download the mail to this group. In addition, I have a number of email accounts various where I do not regularly download e-mail, so I kept showing them as separate accounts. However, since they aren't important, I would have preferred that they come at the end of the list in the pane of the files, it doesn't matter much if they scroll down. However, the records of these accounts seem to insist on appearing before those for local accounts. I would like to change that.

    The explicit files that I created under local folders seem to insist on appearing in alphabetical order. Is it possible to replace that?
