Order of the playlist

With the new update, you can not order or sort your playlists manually. Does anyone know a way to do this?

In songs or playlist views using view > sort by > order of Playlist. Then you can sort them as you like. If you want to use a different column as an initial sort order select, then right-click on the name of the playlist in the sidebar and use Copy Play Order.

Since the update is more 12.3.2.35 in Windows 10 iTunes playlists, order by alphabetical order in the playlist files in the view window under "Playlists" on the left. The last view playlist is moved to the end of the playlist of this folder and in the mess? Each subsequent playlist in this folder that is seen is leaving at the end of this list. Is it possible to rearrange playlists alphabetically again? I tried to change the options at the top right, but they do not seem to change anything other than in the viewed folder or playlist in the main window?

Seems to be a bug in this version.  The order of the playlist is corrected if you exit and then restart iTunes - not that it is really a 'solution '.

  • reverse order of the playlist

I recently made a playlist with all my songs in order of when I have them but they are out of order and I just want to reverse the order, I can't sort by date added, because I jumped on top of spotify and have downloaded chunks of apple's music I had on spotify

So just, is anyway to reverse the order of my playlist

    instead of it going to a, b, c and d I want it to go d, c, b, a.,

    Thank you

The current order is given by the left most column of numbers. Click on the header of this column if not currently selected, and then click the small black triangle to reverse the order. Right/Ctrl-click on the name of the playlist and click on Copy to Play Order, then click on the triangle again so that it points upward if necessary.

  • Order of the Playlist WMP gets blurred

When I create a Playlist with the album titles in my library (ripped from a CD, for the most part), the order in which I organize the list is reconfigured (in WMP) when I burn on a CD list.  (I've recently experienced while trying to burn CDs of music of Christmas for me and a few friends.)   After a few head scratches and reflect on possibilities, I concluded that the function of burning in WMP reorders the songs using a 2-step process, repeated.  First, it uses the numbers of tracks of the songs as they appear on the original albums involved.  Thus, all the songs in MY Playlist created that have a '1' who associated with them (from the position that each of them has in the list of the respective tracks from his album) are now sorted in a subgroup of "song 1" (as I call it).  The next thing that WMP does apparently is to sort this 'new' subgroup title song, by alphabetical order.  After this, he repeats the procedure above for each number (numbered tracks 2, then 3, then 4 and so on).

The result of this process is that I find myself with a CD that includes all my selected songs, but the list that I created, with the order of the songs is intended to take one on a 'musical journey' of sorts, LOST.

Is it possible to overcome this apparent process 'default' when you save a Playlist in WMP?  In other words... Is there a way to "say" WMP to burn the list in the order in which it was created?

BTW... It is a Windows 7 PC, with what I think is WMP 12.

HI - "Ric" is very well... now, regarding this download problem, looks like something caused a conflict... possibly with this flash drive. I think that a "System Restore" back to before the attempt, which could be the best bet here and quite quickly too. What is the purpose of downloading 'security' anyway? I'm still working on the theory that my safety feature will do what is necessary. Once you have successfully completed a test to restore the iTunes download again before doing anything else.

You have discovered a way that I had to do on the disc and the reading list, and I have since discovered that WMP will also change the order of a list of iTunes playlist - everything depends on how you open it! But... the list of iTunes will play on any other mp3 player (for example, a DVD or a cd mp3 player enabled) in the order of the pieces and not by folder. The only way to completely avoid it is to burn "audio" discs, but then you are limited to 79 (and a bit) minutes of recording.

I learned a little more about this me thus!

You may need a little help familiarize yourself with iTunes once you have downloaded, so don't hesitate to come back to me - and I would like to know how the system restore etc...

    Goodbye for now - R

  • How do you sort order in the playlist

I downloaded mp3tag and a bunch of other things.  Is not intuitive.  Finally, I just renamed all my songs using the 01-01, etc.  It sorts correctly on the drive, but when I go in my video, it's no longer sort by number.  And I shuffle off.  I worked on it for 5 hours last night and it worked, but this morning, I added 1 piece (replaced 01-01) and now it won't sort by number.  I changed nothing else.  And now it is sort alphabetically by title rather than by name.   I even deleted the column title to view the disk, but the clip still sorts like that.

It's driving me crazy.  How can I get 38 songs to play in the order that I choose for my training?

I found it!  Music, records, external SDCard, music, play at all

  • How to reverse the order of my playlist @iTunes?

Thus, with the new look of iTunes I can't figure out how to reverse the order of my playlist.

I want to sort by 'love' or 'play' and have the most times (or the songs of love-labeled) on top (so number 1) and the less at the bottom of my reading list.

For some reason any the only order plays mostly / marked love is at the bottom of the playlist and the parts less / unmarked is upstairs. Can't reverse this order. Reading order is normal (so after 1 is 2, etc.)

    How can I accomplish this?

    All my software is up-to-date.

    Thank you!

To reverse the sort order of the list of songs, click on the header of the column used to sort again.

  • Save the playlist on external hard drive.

I would like to be able to export a playlist on an external hard drive, so that all the mp3s in this playlist are grouped in the same order on the hard disk as in the playlist.

    Hello Nomad vagabond,

Thank you for using communities of Apple Support.

If I understand your message that you want to export a playlist on an external hard drive and want to keep all the songs in the same order that they were when they were in the iTunes library. I have stopped at my music as well.

This article contains information on the iTunes library:

    On the iTunes library files

The iTunes Library.itl file is a database of songs in your library and playlists that you created.

Thus, songs and playlists will be recorded how you created and you can move them to the external hard drive by following these steps:

Manage and backup your iTunes library

    Best regards.

  • iTunes is the reorganization of the songs in the playlist

Used to be able to make a playlist and songs would be in order as on the album, but now iTunes rearranges automatically randomly.  This happens on both iMacs.   What is going on?   Just to be clear, does not seek to rearrange the songs in a playlist simply maintain the order of song on CD

I used to solve this problem by selecting "Edit Playlist" in the top right of the playlist "Sort by album."  I now get playlists out of order, or not to play all the songs on the album.

  • How to remove the playlist title bar?

iMac 2007 - running El Capitan - the previous version of iTunes was good, not great, but enough good to get. Now this new update has ruined it. The problem that I am running is that whenever I open iTunes displays the title bar and there is no way to remove or make the road. Looks like this: I tried pretty much everything I can think and thought that maybe miss me something. I did a search online but nothing compared to this, all the rest but cela. Anyone has any idea would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Wow didn't know how this iTunes update *.

The display of the selected playlist is ordered from the menu bar.  After selecting playlist, in the menu bar display-> View As-> [select desired display].  You probably view songs .

NOTE: The sidebar in the latest version of iTunes is designed to be visible, as in the old iTunes (version 10 or earlier) where you could not hide it.  Although you can hide it from current iTunes, you must leave it visible and make it as short as possible.

  • What happened to the playlists of music on Apple TV 4? Where are the files!

I just bought an Apple TV 4, which is now linked in place of my Apple TV 3. All fine enough, but I turn on iCloud music library (iTunes game) and then go to the music... and somehow, it seems, they have just forgotten to implement (!) files to the playlists of music! Seriously? I have probably 500 + playlists (use iTunes from the beginning), all put in folders that keep everything easily organized in iTunes, on all my devices, on my Apple TV 3. And the better the new Apple TV can do is throw up all these playlists, on one level, in alphabetical order?

    Who takes pills doing?

Apple, to snatch some obvious features that are standard in all their other products iTunes/iTMS ecosystem (since about the time of the iPod click wheel), that just let the music on the new Apple TV a jumble of scrolling nigh-usless playlists?

Me, because I couldn't find any other mention of this question on this forum, despite the 4 ATV reaching broad adoption now and the folders used by almost everyone who has more than 10 playlists in iTunes? Is there a parameter/preferences (Yes, I know... Apple is not really to do some settings or preferences or options, no alternative to the default)? Or is there something wrong with my library iCML/Match somehow (very much in doubt - it works fine in all Apple devices)?

As far as I know is, our primary use for the Apple TV is listening to music, this box is turned immediately if this disorder declined, that's what I get instead a perfectly functional (less multiplayer Crossy Road - we will survive) existing device.

If you have any suggestions that you think might improve Apple TV you can send your feedback here at Apple

  • iTunes does not sort in the playlist

I am running the latest version of iTunes. Given that this PC was built (running windows 10) iTunes have never saaved my preferences for sorting.

To clearify: I have a certain playlist I like listening to starting with the songs less played first. But when I run iTunes it has not sorted like that even if it was when I closed the program. It's always open upward like manually sorted, but in reality it is sorted by songs most played first.

I tried to reinstall and several ways to leave iTunes but it wont.

Someone else has experienced this problem or I missed something? Can't tell if it was same on old pc, this was built same weekend iTunes got a big update, early November. So my win 7 PC ran only one version and the installation on this new one, it was another.

Will be grateful for any answer, even if it is: can not be done? At least then I can move...

    / Martin

Sort the list in the way that you want, then right-click on the name of the playlist in the sidebar and click on copy to Play Order.

  • If I built a playlist can I delete songs in the music list without deleting the playlist

I downloaded an album and had to rearrange songs about it.  I made a playlist and put everything in the right order.  I am now able to remove the songs in the list of music that aren't in the right order

If 'list of music' is your iTunes music library.  The playlist is simply a list of songs that are in your iTunes music library, you have chosen and placed in a desired order.  A song on the playlist cannot exist here if it is not in your library iTunes music.  If you delete a song on the playlist of your music library, it disappears from your playlist.

  • What is the order of the removal of the songs to an iPod Classic syncing > somehow my laptop has started the process of synchronization without my knowledge and removed approximately 2,000 songs of my iPod classic.  How can I identify which were delete

What is the order of the removal of the songs to an iPod Classic syncing > somehow my laptop has started the process of synchronization without my knowledge and removed approximately 2,000 songs of my iPod classic.  How can I identify which were deleted songs?  I always manually move files to prevent this.  I'm on Windows 10.

Has no way to know that...

If your library iTunes music fits on the storage space of 160 GB of your iPod classic, you just set to automatically sync your entire library of music.  Then, it won't matter which has been removed and which do not get deleted, because your iPod music library is the same as your library iTunes music.  And iTunes it keeps this way, every time your iPod connection (or click sync , if already connected).

If you don't want "everything" in your iTunes library on your iPod (understandable), you can create a playlist in your iTunes library with all the songs you want on the iPod.  Then, set to automatically synchronize the playlist to iPod.  Instead of manually managing iPod, you manually manage playlist in your iTunes library.  The iPod has no need to be connected.  The next time you connect the iPod (or click sync , if already connected), iTunes will update the iPod with the same changes.  The big advantage is, if something happens like what you describe, or needs to restore iPod (erased) or even if break you your iPod (and get a new), need you a few mouse clicks to solve the problem.  Just set it up to sync the same playlist once again, which exists in your library iTunes (not only on the iPod).

You can post back for more information about how to use automatic synchronization to do what you want more easily, go ahead.

  • import CD tracks in reverse order (all the CDs I import)

    Help

I import my CD collection into itunes (Itunes game). EVERY CD I import if its popular or classic any tracks from the largest number (for example: import runway 27 of 27) when they are on track to itunes 27 is therefore now follow 1! I had to manually rearrange that tracks to edit playlist. I have hours of CD to import - can someone tell me if there is a work around? Ive looked at all the options and preferences - can't seem to find a setting for this.

    Hello

When a CD is imported and created a playlist, open the playlist. In the name column click on the name of the surrounding area and the order will be reversed and a cursor will appear pointing upwards or downwards. Clicking on that will reverse the order, and the numbers will change, too.

  • Order of song playlists is not transferred to iPod classic

Hi there: I'm on Yosemite 10.10.5, with iTunes version 12.3.2.35. I want my playlists to play in the order of songs per album, but no matter how configure iTunes to sort, playlists always end in a different way on the iPod. The iTunes menu drop-down in the upper right shows the songs and it contains sorted by Album or, sometimes, the artist Album. I tried the Playlists and then sorted in the same way. Nothing does. How can I get iTunes and iPod to do this? Thanks in advance!

The iTunes menu drop-down in the upper right shows the songs and it contains sorted by Album or, sometimes, the artist Album.

It is for each playlist, right?  Not for your iTunes music library.  And synchronize you playlists from iPod with Auto-Sync (with the checked Sync music setting in the settings screen of music from iPod in iTunes); you do not load playlists manually (drag and drop on the iPod).

On the iPod, go to display settings on board.  There is a parameter called Shuffle.  It should be set to Off to play the song lists in the order.
