Organize Photo Thumbnails

Hello

When I drag and drop a large number of videos of 'Photos' in a folder from external hard drive, thumbnails are everywhere. Sometimes with a lot of different files on each other.

Is there a way to organize everything perfectly in one fell swoop. Instead of moving each one separately?

Thank you

Windows 7 Home Edition ceased to show my photo thumbnails files. I don't know why and I don't know how to fix it. I have read and tried several elements without result. I'm not a patient person, and I have little tolerance when something that was working fine suddenly stop it doing so.

A quick response that works would be appreciated.

  • How to copy an organizer 'photo album' to a digital photo frame, photo enforcement "album?

I like to keep the order of the photo I put in place in an organizer 'photo album.  When I copy the photos to photo album on a USB key, the order is the order of file name.  Is there a way to keep the order "photo album"?

Order of the album is limited to the catalogue of the Organizer. The order of sorting out the catalog may decide where you view album. You can create an album, choose your album order, rename your files by selecting all files and pressing Ctrl + N and Sift. The files will be named according to your order of the albums.

This name change will help you display your files in the same order, outside as well as inside the Organizer.

    Thank you

  • I can't stop my photo thumbnails to switch to generic icons.

In my folder of pictures, all my photo files will briefly display a thumbnail of the photo but will immediately switch to a generic photo of the examples of Windows photo icon.  I can't figure out how to get the thumbnail to stay as my photo and not switch to the generic.  I have Windows Vista and it's never happened before.  It just started to do on its own, and I can't stop it.   It's a pain in the neck to find a photo in particular, when each photo in the folder has the same generic image and not a thumbnail of the photo.  I have to click on the generic icon and open it to what is the photo.  I do not use the Windows Vista Photo Gallery because I don't like.  I don't like no way that it forces me to organize his way and not mine.  I have my pictures in a subfolder in the folder my documents.  Help!  I lost interest in my photos because of this problem.

    Hi MaQMartok,

    Welcome!

This can happen if there is some system files corrupted on your computer. Suggest to run a SFC scan, which would be a search for system files corrupted on the computer and replace them.

    How to run scan SFC

    1. click on the Start button

2 from the Start Menu, click on all the programs of followed by accessories

    3. in the menu Accessories , right-click on command prompt option

    4. in the menu that appears, click on the option "Run as Administrator"

5 If you have user account control (UAC) enabled you will be asked to consent to the opening of the command line. You simply press the button continue if you are the administrator or insert password etc.

    6. in the window prompt of commands , type: sfc/scannow , and then press enter

    7. a message is displayed to indicate that "the analysis of the system will start.

    8. be patient because the analysis may take some time

    9. If all the files need replace SFC will replace them. You may be asked to insert your Vista DVD for this process to continue

    10. If all goes although you should, after the analysis, see the following message "Windows resource protection not found any breach of integrity.

    11. after the scan is finished, close the command prompt window reboot the computer and check.

The analysis may take some time, so be patient. Windows allows to fix corrupt or missing files it finds. If the information of the installation CD is required to fix the problem, you may be asked to insert your Windows Vista.

  • Why not Lightroom organizes photos and videos is missing 'date taken' by 'date modified' instead of 'creation date '?

It always seems to be a problem with Lightroom 5. This post is one of the first results, after trying to Google this problem, and it's for LR3. I don't understand why something so basic to some photos (and video) Organization has been neglected for so long.

I tried to import and organize all my old photos and videos by date with LR5. They have been backed up and copied several times over the years, most recently on an external drive last week. Thus, each file has a 'creation date' last week. But 'change' is the date recorded.

It's not bad for pictures with a good EXIF "date taken" - but LR5 resembles the "creation date" for videos, making it completely useless to organize them into folders based on date. He puts videos I recorded in 2010 (in accordance with the "modification date") in a case 2014-12. Why.

It is not only a video problem - some pictures that I took with devices that does not record date "EXIF taken" are also filed in folders of this month even if the 'update' on them is correct as is 5 years.

How can I count on LR5 organization importing and based on the date when it is based on the files (lack of "date taken") having never been copied or backed up?

It has been at least partially fixed in LR 5.5, for images: Lightroom: the dates do not match for the missing files metadata date/time.  But I just tested import a .avi in LR 5.7 / Windows 8.1 and the date below the thumbnail in the grid has been the time of last modification of the file system, while the Date of Capture in the metadata Panel has been set at the time of importation.

I started a new topic in the Adobe official feedback forum: Lightroom: capture still inconsistent date/time for videos. Please add your vote and review on it.

  • Photo thumbnails take up 11 GB. How to decrease

I use iphoto to store my photos... My understanding is that only the photos are stored on my iPhone. It is said of 11 GB of photos are on the iPhone. Is the way to choose the albums show on my iPhone? Or another way to reduce the amount of space photo are used?

If you have iCloud library enabled, you can not choose - it is a proposal, all or nothing. If you want to reduce the amount of storage Photos used, choose a local library optimized to retain. With this option, Photos will dynamically reduce the size of the library when storage space is running low. Her enemies that selectively reducing the resolution of the images stored on the phone. Some will simply tiny thumbnails, but this occurs according to the needs, not all thumbnails becoming all at onece.

If you want to control which images are stored on your phone, turn off iCPL and return to the sync via iTunes, then turn on my photo stream for automatic synchronization of new images.

  • not identical to the photo thumbnail

I use Photos 1.5 running OS 10.11.4 on a Macbook Pro.

My photo library is 170 GB. Things seem to work. BUT...

Sometimes (often) when I double click on a photo to see the image thumbnail for this photo in the thumbnail column on the left shows a completely different picture.

I rebuilt my photo library several times, but the problem remains.

Try to rebuild the thumbnails by rotating back.  This will create new thumbnails.

You can select several thumbnails at once, enter ⌘R, and then ⌥⌘R key combination to turn their back.

Rotation is lossless editing and can be done in Thumbnails view.  But not to select all thumbnails at once, try it in smaller batches.

  • Why my photo thumbnail appears darker than the original photo?

Hey everyone, I'm trying to download some photos of new products and having a hard time. My product thumb nails appear dark before and after download, but when you click on the image, it's the original color/shade.

I am downloading on my wordpress site, if that helps.

For an example, please check the picture here

Thanks for any help and advice, you can send my way.

    Wilson

It is not a problem of Photos but a HTML.  The correct color image file is named all-TI-red - ls.jpg.  However, the darker version that we click on is called call-TI-red-ls - 510 x 600 .jpg.  It's a different image file, not a thumbnail.  You need to determine the creation of the darker image and why the color becomes darker or change the file to the same file which is the image of the pop-up window.

You could ask your question in the forum iWeb as those who hang out there are designers and will have more details for you.

Currently, you use the following code:

    http://cavecloth.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/ call-TI-red - ls.jpg"title ="call it red ls">"

    http://cavecloth.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/call-TI-red-ls - 510 x 600 .jpg'alt = 'call it red ls' title = 'call it red ls' >

    To take

    http://cavecloth.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/ call-TI-red - ls.jpg"title ="call it red ls">"

call-TI-red-lshttp://cavecloth.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/' alt = 'call it red ls' title = 'call it red ls' >

and it will be as you want it to be.
