• Cost organization CS5.5 on Mac installation - missing of presets and AVCHD support

  Oh, that's crazy.  How hell isn't bug-fixed?

  I'm in the middle of the implementation of a new Assembly Hall for my second aryschool where I am a Professor of the sociology of the media.  I have a handful of Mac running install fresh that I installed the new legal site, a first Pro CS5.5 license installed on.  By default, as in many workplaces, Macs require admin for internet passwords and install settings, which I applied.  None of the machines have made versions od body CS5.5 test or previous versions of the body.

  Questions:

  1. No of install it fresh contains presets for AVC-Intra, AVCHD, DSLR digital, XDCAM EX, XDCAM HD422, and XDCAM HD.  That is the kind of calamity, as we have new cameras Panasonic HDC AVCHD - SD900 wait to load images for editing.
  2. As a result, none of the Mac will load or recognize the AVCHD footage when I try to add.  I get error "compression type not supported."

  Am I missing something basic here, or I am about to enter the "all delete adobe, restart, reinstall, restart" loop of hell to try and fix a whole roomful of machines?   Is it possible to check if the settings are on the Mac?  Is it possible to connect again in the body, if they are?  And finally, is it possible to get the CS5.5 to recognize AVCHD in a recognized format (it's why I bought the license of site in the first place!  Premiere Pro is supposed to have the simplest AVCHD compatibility of all editing suites!).

  GRR.  The name of God.

  Well, this turned out to be weird.  Now fixed, but WEIRD.  After the deafening silence on this forum, I went and did some reading on other threads and with other people having the same (but apparently not the same) issue.  It seems it could have been three different causes: here's what I did to fix things, I'd be fascinated if anyone with closer links to Adobe comes with the technical explanation of why this turned out as it did.

  Possible problems:

  (1) installation may need to be done as Admin, rather than as a standard user on a Mac

  (2) firewall/proxy server is not allowing maybe a few anonymous reminder first of adobe to record parameters predefined/codecs

  (3) a strange thing involving registration... some people have had problems with time zones, of all things.  See below.

  What I did:

  (0) took all the school network to offshore and put on my home wireless network: no firewall, direct internet connection.

  (1) tried the above suggestion of Ann Bens.  Could not disable the software when you are logged in as administrator on my mac.  Came up with the error code 255:255 in the notification area, even though I never had a trial installed on this box.  It's the same error I got to school, so I excluded provisionally firewall/proxy problems.

  (2) read the forums even more.  I'm in New Zealand, it is currently daylight savings time (GMT + 13) here.  In http://forums.adobe.com/message/4007876, someone in New Zealand had a different but similar problem with the first Pro software registration/deregistration in time advanced NZ and found that change in ANY other time zone fixed their deliverance.

  (3) thought ' what the hell ', changed zone in Samoa (could not bring myself to make the Australia...) and restarted as an administrator.

  (4) software properly disabled, no error message.  Interesting.

  (5) uninstalled first pro.  Restarted as an administrator.

  (6) adobe Ran cleaning tool.  Found a few bits and pieces, killed off the coast.  Rebooted as admin to be on the safe side (always at the time of Samoa)

  (7) installed first, no problem at all.  Not registered, no problem at all.  All presets are present and correct, no problem getting AVCHD files.

  (8) changed time zone at the time of light day NZ.

  (9) all still works.

  HM.  Adobe, SOMETHING is wrong with the way your software processes zones and registered the codecs/software on first Pro CS5.5.  Seriously, anyone has an idea why this is happening?

  So resolved.  I'll give myself a tick for "right answer" and "useful answer", since I have solved my own thing without help from technical support?

• Organization of Presets

  I heard that Presets, I have a lot to develop, can be arranged.  I tried to slide the new folders in the section Preset but that doesn't seem to work.  that is, I created a new folder called B & W presets and then tried dragging the presets I have in this case.  No luck.   I guess I need to go back to the place on my hard drive that contains my Presets to the new folders in there, then to drag and drop.  I need then re - import in Lightroom using the new folder structure.

  Is there an easier way to do this? With the help of a PC.

  Hi Merrill,

  Do not go to the level of the windows operating system - it is not necessary, but tends to create errors inside LR if you aren't sure in advance what you're doing... * stop me from having what I want... *.

  You seem to have reached to successfully create a new folder for develop presets (I do it by clicking on the + right of the presets Panel in develop module and then use the triangle of the menu drop-down field record for the entry "New folder...") »).

  Then you can indeed drag and drop existing presets other folders - observe that the decline is not always possible: as a long time you hover over an existing entry to axactly the cursor turns forbidden icon, but when you move your mouse between the lines of text in the existing entries in the cursor turns into a thin horizontal bar to indicate that you can deposit.

  If you do this with the inputs folder "Lightroom Presets" will create a copy down, 'copy' the original LR preset name as a suffix.

  Please try again patiently observe these effects - if they really do not work report only and you should get help for a bug.

• Organization of styles

  Given the multiplicity of styles of layers available for download on the internet, it would be nice to be able to organize them into categories in the Style Panel. The rollout Style has a number of predefined categories: abstract styles, buttons etc. I can't find a way to create a custom category. I can organize the files downloaded in the Windows Explorer, of course, but I would like to be able to load styles in PS so that I can find them later. How can I do?

  The link was useful, although the instructions are based on an earlier version of the PS and certain persistence was needed to translate into new menus. The useful section of the document was in fact titled "create and manage preset styles' downstairs.

  What you have to do is to load the set of styles you want to organize one of the existing libraries. In my case, I wanted to organize my text layer styles, so I loaded between them "text". Then, you save all of your effects desired as a file single .asl by Edit/Presets/Presets Manager and choosing "Styles" in the drop-down list of predefined type. There's a teeny weeny triangle of drop-down menu at the top right of the dialog Panel resulting, where you can select the library where your target styles were loaded, so I chose "text effects". You can then select all of your styles targeted in the usual way. The "Backup" button activates. This button displays a dialog of Windows Explorer where you can save a .asl file to anywhere you like with the name that you want. The name will appear later under the name of your custom style library. Now comes the secret trick. You get PS and go to Windows Explorer. You move the file .asl, that you just saved to C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC 2015\Presets\Styles. The next time you launch PS, the name of your custom library is displayed in the Panel menu Styles drop-down. You just do not forget to remove your organized styles where you initially uploaded to them.

• Missing-LR presets

  Since the update to 2015.3 LR, I find that some of my presets do not appear in the Panel presets in the develop module. Specifically, these are presets that are * loose * in the library > Application Support > Adobe > Lightroom > folder Presets develop on my iMac. Those who are in a subfolder show. I just tested this by dragging a group of them develop preset pulling up of LR. They do not show upward. I then created a folder for them, and voila, there is the folder and presets in - and that was without even restarting LR. Very weird. So, how do LR to see loose presets without putting them into folders?

  Presets that are at the top level of the folder "Develop Presets" will appear in Lightroom in the folder "user Presets".  Organization of LR presets is weak, and it's just one of several quirks.

  However, I prefer to have my resident effects in my Directory user, something like: / users/myuser/there...

  So I tried to create a symbolic link in/Applications/Adobe after effects CC 2014/Presets, but did not work.

  Can I optimize the Organization of file system I'm aiming?

  The standard location for your preset animations is user/Documents/Adobe/After Effects (version here) / User Presets/User Preset Library.

  

  I did my library of preset user an alias on my account dropbox so any presets that I create is instantly available on any machine I'm getting. I can even access my presets when I freelance work on another system by simply accessing the dropbox.

• Unable to export the movie using XDCAM presets

  We are facing a problem of export of sequences using custom presets for XDCAM to our panel.

  Our Panel, we export the sequences based on a "Preset" personalised XDCAM. But the sequence is not exported.

  The output file created is sometimes Kb. We use the code

  All the ExtendScript encoding-driven since the Organization should be based on the encoder (modern, fresh, tested, clean) API, not the. exportDirect() (unsupported, obsolete, treacherous). See PProPanel sample code.

• Auto preset applied as open a file

  Hi guys,.

  I'm a newbie to LightRoom here, just years of opening. It takes used too, with the slightly different workflow and how to organize. However, that is how to get there, I've converted my Aperture library to a reference and have everything imported into Lightroom.

  I have a bit of a problem I have fixing problems. I'm going through my old list of files, just do some preliminary checks, rotating images that sort of thing. Halfway through I suddenly noticed that Lightroom started to apply a custom preset to all images in that folder, as I opened it and application of auto tone. I've checked all my preferences, and everything related to such action is deselected.

  I can of course simply select all and reset them, but that adds to my workflow.

  Hmm, there was a bug, I tried to delete all my files preferences, but without success. I then tried to install LR5.2 RC and the fault has disappeared, in fact, it also corrects images that have been modified by v5.0.

• 1080 p MTS CS6 organization files are very pixelated

  When I playback the video source using VLC image is what I have except the 1080 p (and the camera), but imported into the body, they become pixelated. They still have the same image size, but the image quality decreases and looks like it has been resized from a much smaller shot.

  Initially I presume that the image has been spotted only, but this scope for export with verified quality max.

  I am very new to the Organization, so I guess I checked simply not an option correctly.

  Right-click the clips in the bin, select change, interpret the film...  Change the order of fields in progressive, then drop one of these clips on the new icon to create a corresponding sequence.

• "Mismatch project settings preset.

  I tried to change my movies taken with a Flip Mino HD camera. The films show OK in the Organizer, but in the editor of I can hear the sound but the film does not show. Since I live in Sweden I choose PAL and there is no choice of Flip-format the menu, given that under the terms of the alternative NTSC.

  The message I get when adding clips to the editor explains: "the format of the clips you add do not correspond to the format of project setting.» For best results, you should use a project preset that corresponds to your clips. You want to change the project settings to match your clips? »

  My answer is Yes, but it does not solve the problem.

  So, I wonder how I can find out what exactly the difference in settings between the clamps and the preconfiguration of the project and what settings should I use?

  I don't think Flip cams don't shoot in PAL - or NTSC format also. They pull at the format Flip.

  So use project NTSC Flip minoHD to your project settings.

• Organization of Photoshop brushes

  I need help to choose that preset off available for export flash dosens.

  I'm on 5.03 on Windows organization.

  I have a plain PAL DV widescreen AVI 35 min. hard.

  I want as a FLV for web export. I don't know which preset to choose get the same size.

  I tried to export with the bat dimension of the thw FLV Web big big screen and bitrate 'high '. If I look at the dimensions by default, it says 720 x 396.

  As I understood it, the default for DV widescreen is 1024 x 576. This would give a multiplier of 1,777. If I do the same thing with this dimension, I get 1.818?

  Would he not have 720 x 405 then?

  I'm sorry - but it's very confusing for me to get rigth...

  Please do * NO * check this box for export.  It corresponds to the export to the preview for the sequence files.  In most cases, you do not want to.

  Hello, I've created presets in Pr Pro connected under my Admin account.  The presets appeared when I created a new project then in the Admin account.  But when I switched to my account the presets do not arise.  I would use these preset is the other account that I have where I work normally.  Where they are stored and how to make them to my other user accounts.

  Well, that changes things. However, you should be able to search for similar terms using Spotlight and you will find the path. It is somewhere in your home/user directory. I do not work with the Organization on the Mac, so I can't be more specific.

  Well right Jim - most of the programs like first is happier and tend to cause problems if they are running under an administrator account. Which is not to say that you can not run it under a standard user account, but who will be the first thing that most user and tech support will tell you if you have any questions. As long as you're not connected to the internet with your editing machine, there is no good reason not to use the Admin account.

  ADDENDUM: I think that the file you are looking for is 'Effect Presets and Custom Items.prfpset'. It is in the directory that I mentioned above. Also note that you can export your presets for effects from the effects to the files bin individual .prfpset you can switch to different platforms and then import them into the new platform where they form part of the file 'effect Presets and Custom Items.prfpset '.
