• Change orientation distorts the content of the screen on Dev Alpha (10.0.6.545)

  I use the Beta 2 SDK and my Alpha Dev is updated to 10.0.6.545.

  I want my application to support the changes in orientation from portrait to landscape and back. To implement, I followed the tutorial at:

  When I flip the Alpha of Dev to change the orientation of the fashion portrait to landscape mode, it works. But when I flip it back to leave for the portrait, the content of my app's screen gets distorted / destroyed somehow so that more or less garbage appears. It is not just a question that all of my components are not moved or something (I understand I must handle this) but the screen content is garbled. When I go again in landscape mode it seems ok again. But when I go to the portrait of the screen is still once deformed. Here is a screenshot:

  

  I've found that I can reproduce this behavior also with examples of applications like weatherguesser and also with costs projects created from the project templates as examples NavigationPane or TabbedPane when I just turn on self-orientation in their bar - descriptor.xml file and just add an onCreationCompleted handler in their main.qml:

  Since the orientation change works very well for the operating system itself and the browser pre-installed too, and only my apps are affected, I think that I'm doing something wrong. Any tips?

  Is the source code for the tutorial above available as an archive available for download somewhere? I want to check it out.

  Or is it is a known issue in Beta 2? (I did not implement the change in orientation of support before Beta 2).

  (I have not found anything on this issue in the issue tracker.)

  I've updated to Beta 3 SDK and the Dev Alpha 10.0.9.388 and this bug seems to be fixed.

  I am new to this forum and I want to say hello to everyone here.

  I have developed some simple games using Marmalade fast during the Marmalade for BlackBerry 10 Port-o-thon and obtained their release denied because of problems when switching of modes of orientation.

  Because of the beta status of 6.2 of Marmalade and jam quick, I would rather stay with on BB10 portrait and landscape on the Playbook.

  Can I lock orientation and get my apps aproved or is it against the instructions for user interface?

  It is absolutely perfect lock orientation for applications. Go ahead, orientation of the lock and submit. You shouldn't have any problems.

• BlackBerry Smartphones updated BB App world... and lost all the apps?

  I had to make an exchange of phones last week.  Did this and reinstalled several applications on the new phone. Finally I was told had to do an update of the BB App world... Done this, and they are all gone now.  They are not under the uninstalled or other devices tab.  Help!

  I suggest that you clear the cache of the AppWorld application:

  1. open the App World

  2. go to my world

  3. follow one (and only one!) of these steps:

  3. for the BB keyboard-oriented - hold down the ALT key and press on, in the sequence R, then S, then T

  3B. for touch screen only BBs - hold the num-lock (! 123 button) so that it hangs and then press on, in the sequence 3, then 4, then)

  3 c for the most recent (e, g., OS6 and 7) BB s, see this KB:

  4 AppWorld must close

  5. If your BB locks after issuing clear cache, do a battery pull reboot

  6. return to AppWorld/MyWorld (it can be slow, while it re - sync).

  If (4) stage arrives not as described, then the empty the cache failed.

• How can I change the orientation of the initial display?

  I am a land surveyor and scan my field books (about 9 "x 7") in backup and office use. When I opened them they are allways rotated 90 degrees to the left. Is there a way to make them open oriented corectly, it's really a pain if I put them on my Tablet/pad to take to a meeting or something because the mobile software does not have the option of rotation. I am also keen to try to use the Tablet/pad do not have to print them out for office work.

  To change the orientation of the PDF you must have the Acrobat application (Adobe Acrobat free trial downloadversion |) Acrobat Pro DC). See this KB document for help. Acrobat Help. Rotate, move, delete and renumber PDF pages.

• Cannot use the search feature on the App Store

  I have a problem with the search feature in the App Store. This problem only occurs when connected with my Apple ID, everything in the App Store itself works very well. Only when it comes to the search I get an error "the App Store is temporarily unavailable. Try again later. I tried all methods I found online and on Apple's site, including: restarting the unit, check the time and date, iOS is updated, various wireless as well as the 4 G network, signing in and out of the account and App Store refresh method. Unfortunately, nothing has worked so far.

  Hoping you can help me out with a small project please? I'm wondering - is it possible to get a list of all the applications in the App Store? Or even a list in a particular genre? This information would be anywhere in public, if so could you please point me in the right direction? Looking to add this information to a presentation on enforcement types, gender, age and geograph etc.
