Intel (r) graphics Instead of AMD RADEON

Hey guys, I bought a laptop from M6 want

and it has the label of the radeon on it but it is Intel (r) graphics 4000 on the display configuration

How can I use AMD instead of intel?

Thank you

Hello

If your laptop comes with the switchable graphics option... make a right-click on an unused space on th desktop and then select Configure switchable graphics.

In the AMD/ATI Radeon Catalyst Control Center window that opens, you can select the gpu (Intel) or high performance GPU AMD for energy savings.

What is the product name complete of your laptop?

You can retrieve your product number by pressing Fn + ESC key. You can also read the Service tag (if any) attached to the bottom of your notebook\netbook. You can also find this information at the bottom of the window HP Support Assistant.

Hello.  I just bought a Dell Latitude 3540 on 10/01/13 (yesterday) and everything but the graphics go a lot.  Whenever I check the graphics that are used, it says "Intel HD Graphics 4400" instead of 'AMD Radeon HD 8850 M' as it should be.  I installed the Catalyst driver and software and plugged in, but also put everything for maximum performance in the config of switch graphics.  I EVEN USED PC RESET.  NOTHING WORKS.  Help, please.

    Hello

What is the version of the Catalyst driver and software you use?

The option to switch between graphics depends on the version of the installed Catalyst driver. I suggest you follow the article given below for further assistance.

I installed the card, update drivers and disabled the integrated graphics card. I tried to disable the onboard graphics via BIOS but there is no option to disable it in the BIOS, the AMD Radeon also is not running in the BIOS. • Pavilion G6: Error Code 43 after update Intel HD graphics card

    Hello.

My laptop HP Pavilion G6 consists of cards 2 graphs: 1-Intel HD Graphics Family

    2 Radeon HD 6470 M

Today, I opened my device manager, and I tried to update my Intel HD Graphics. Finally, there is an update for it, and after it was done, it displays Intel HD Graphics 3000 This is after I restarted my computer.

After the reboot, my Intel map updated. However, I have re open Device Manager, and I see that the Radeon HD 6470 M has an exclamation mark above. I opened the properties and I see a message saying: Windows has stopped this device because it has reported issues (Code 43). This has happened after that I updated my Intel card.

I fixed it with the restoration of the system. But can someone tell me why this happened? The Assistant de Support HP r says there is no update available, Device Manager must therefore determine that the card Intel is up to date.

    Any help? Thank you.

Uncertain about the nature of the problem, but if you have used an older driver that could help?

The downloaded drivers AMD and its GOLDEN!

-To install all components of the pilot normally (Catalyst Control Center etc.)
-> Graphics driver itself not - you need to install manually by using the Device Manager!

-Open Device Manager (right click on the start icon in the left corner), go to "graphics card".
-Right-click on the map and select 'Update driver... '. "in the context menu (first entry)
-Click 'Find a driver on the computer' (2nd entry)
-Click on "Select driver from list.
-Click on the "Device" button... "in the right corner
-Select the driver file (* .inf) in the folder extracted from ATI. In my case, it was C:\AMD\Support\13-1-legacy_vista_win7_win8_64_dd_ccc\Packages\Drivers\Display\W86A_INF.
There are a few different files, it seems that the dialog box choose the right when you simple select one of them... TRY FIRST! Otherwise, you might try reading the .inf files (they are just plain text files - maybe you will find your chipset in there...)
-Click OK, the dialogue will now see one or two entries that should bear the name of your graphics card - select one of them
-Click next - the screen will go black and flicker, you will hear the sounds of connection/disconnection of the device several times. Do not worry, everything works as expected!
-The driver must now be ready - reboot your system and you should now be able to control your graphics settings using the Catalyst Control Center.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but the situation is that you should not do the upgrade of Win10.  Their upgrade tool has done a really poor job of detecting switchable graphics before the updrade, and as a result, people like you end up with machines that are no longer fully functional.  Same thing happened to me.

With switchable graphics, the only work pilots come from OEM making machines, because the material is suitable, so having to be engines.  MS does not supply these drivers any more than the video card manufacturers.

So, without driver HP Win10 for your PC, you're stuck with only two results:

    (1) keep Win10 and faced with the problem of graphs

    (2) to return your PC to the original operating system.

I chose the second because I prefer a PC with an OS more old where everything worked, to a PC with a new operating system, where things don't work.

  • GPU AMD RADEON 7470HD 1 GB GDDR5 vs INTEL HD GRAPHICS 3000

I just don't understand why the intel 3000 much more better than my discrete graphic card graphic AMD Radeon HD 7470, I use a dynamic mode here and I can simply compare the quality vs high performance thing. A good example is I open and play NBA 2 k 12 and it seems that the Intel HD graphics card gave a lot more 'PERFORMANCE' and 'QUALITY' of the game when I changed my GPU to save energy, even if I change the settings of the graphics card Intel for its 3D preference by fully optimizing the 'QUALITY' to 0% Performance It gives even more performance + QUALITY in my NBA 2 k 12 compared to my Radeon 7470HD I've also changed the 3D settings to much higher Performance of 80% and 20% of quality. I always found kind of GALs of the graph + giving poor quality makes me inconvinient to use.

Another thing that was when I tried to change my GPU fixed dynamic mode, and this passage from the high-level sport gives less total aprrox. memory of the "dxdiag", he gives only 786 MB when it is in the type of energy-saving, it gives more its total 1 600 MB memory Aprrox.

IS THIS A PROBLEM FOR MY GPU CARD? I'LL BE HAPPY TO ACCOMMODATE ALL OF YOUR OPNION OF THESE. Thank you!

Why is your memory Intel more your AMD brief, who knows, I can tell you that in the information---> components---> display system, is my HD 6770 m ~ RAM 1.00 GB (1 073 741 824 bytes) and Intel adapter is ~ bytes of RAM adapter (1,335,959,552), maybe you should check there.

You can believe me or not (you can take a horse to water, but you can force it to drink) why I believe you get better performance with processors intel compared to the Radeon, this is because the software beast of switching does not work, be said. You don't believe me search this forum you will find enough post where the owners of laptops with switchable graphics are looking for help with graphics there.

Man, I do not see why you just don't try by yourself, if it doesn't work for some reason, or you still believe that the graphics card intel play better change it back, it's not permanent, there is no reason for you to procrastinate.

You say that you want to use Intel to play a game and AMD to play another, what's the problem, what you need to do is right click on the desktop and switch from one to the other and vice versa if necessary or is it too difficult for you to understand. You can't play two games together, so I really don't know why you would even mention it.

FYI the only time where I never use power saving mode is when I am on battery, I have my bet on high performance, really how much money will save you in a year of use of a laptop computer if you switch from high-performance, energy savings depend on what you use your laptop for a little money, not even enough to buy a Merry feast at Mcdonalds?

Man, I'll tell you once and I'm outside here, being able to save those who the game is crazy, those who build platforms of games can spend hundreds of dollars to purchase blocks of power to get as much power as they can in their computers, because it takes a lot of good gaming power, and energy saving are you talking

  • [Incompatibility problem] Graphics Intel HD 4000 & AMD Radeon HD 7650 M

    Hey everybody,

To keep things short and simple, I have a problem with the help of my 7650M AMD Radeon HD video card.

I searched through many forums/articles and I have leared that my laptop (HP ProBook 4540) includes two video cards integrated; Graphics card Intel HD 4000 & AMD Radeon HD 7650 M (2 GB); to reduce the battery consumption. I attributed to some games to run in high-performance such as Skyrim, but simply, I find no difference. It always seems to run on 'weak' parameters and I'm sure that my card can do much better!

I have visitied the Intel site and I've updated all my drivers later, including the Intel driver. Although, when I did and after I restarted my computer, I get a message from the Catalyst Control Center saying that my AMD driver is disabled and I need to download the latest driver or enable it in Device Manager. What I did then is I visited HP website and I downloaded the 8.951.6 'last' AMD driver. Notice how I used in quotes, so drivers are quite old; almost a year to be precise!

I also tried to download the latest drivers on Radeon site, but I can not simply because I get a message saying that I have incompatible drivers!

Useful information that may or not there:

    Mobile: HP ProBook 4540 s

Operating system: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

    I appreciate all help.

    You can go there!

Download "LATER" (really late!) Intel HD and Drivers Radeon on "HP SITE.

    (1) go to the Device Manager.
    (2) to the list of graphics cards, uninstall the drivers Radeon and Intel HD.
    (3) as soon as you uninstall both drivers, your system will run on edge VGA adapter, so all the icons and the Office will take place on the resolution of 640 x 480.
    (4) now restart PC.
    (5) now install driver Intel HD that you downloaded.
    (6) restart the PC.
    (7) now, your system will work on resolving Native 1366 * 768.
    (8) now install the Radeon drivers in Express mode.
    (9) to restart the PC.
    (10) always restart the PC, go to the BIOS settings, check switchable/dynamic graphs.
    (11) now run AMDCCC.
    (12) power adapter plug. Switch to recommended power HP plan.
    (13) run your favorite game. Assignment mode it 'high performance '.
    (14) enjoy!

    I hope this helps you!

  • AMD Radeon R7 E460 graphics card problem

    Hello

I bought a new Lenovo E460 Full HD with the graphics card AMD Radeon R7 M360 inside. I also asked a + 4 GB of ram, so I now have 8 GB. My problem is that I constantly freezes when I use a video editing software and 3d. It's a regular shift, like every few seconds. 1.2.3.. gel 1.2.3.freeze etc. I also tried to change a lower quality in the software properties, but nothing changes. If this happens when I use the AMD Radeon graphics card. When I use the graphics Intel HD 520, AMD drivers uninstalled or just fashionable, the problem disappears energy saving. I tried with AMD drivers Lenovo site, also the site of AMD, I tried to update the drivers for Windows 10 too, the problem persists. GPU - Z, I installed and I saw that the bus PCIe 4 x all the time when graphics software is used instead of x 8 supported. I don't know if this is normal. This is a brand new laptop (2 weeks) and I can't do my job on a daily basis like this. Help, please!

How does it eat for only on battery + after closing the game-> blue screen come to 100%.

(I don't know he's trying to return to the HD 7650 and somehow, it does not support.)

    _________________________

Hi there, hope you guys can understand something... so far, I have tried everything to my knowledge.

    First the Specs:

    HP ProBook 4540 s (C5E12ES), 15.6 ", Core i5 - 3210M 2 x 2.50 GHz, 6 GB, 750 GB, AMD Radeon HD 7650 M 2 GB

(integrated HD 4000) (pre - install OS > SUSE 11)

Current OS: Win 7 Professional 64-bit

    Problem:

Installed in almost all of the drivers that were available here:

    http://h20000.www2.HP.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/ProductList.jsp?lang=en & CC = US & TaskID = 135 & prodTypeId...

(ofc. for w7 64-bit; and they claim to work)

But he never passed to the Radeon HD 7650 M no matter what I attributed to the AMD Catalyst (High Performance) + energy Max Power Mode (also checked the option all have been set for maximum power).

So, basically, the problem is that the discrete Radeon HD 7650 M graphics card is never available. I tried to disable in the BIOS "Switchable Graphics" Mode > causes only that the HD 7650 M is not yet visible in the Manager of hardware + not available + catalyst shows that it is working properly. (+ there is no Option that worked to manually assign the gpu)

Given that the system must be a switchable dynamic AMD chart , I can not even download other drivers than those offered by HP (won't work of course...).

    > > In games only the HD 4000 is visible (even when the 7650M is completely disabled games and videos run with HD 4000 > > who said so far only one has been used (I wanted to clarify that since some think that the HD 4000 is supported "in the background" by the discrete gpu-> is not!))

There there no driver to manage the 7650M atm? As far as I read Sony handled somehow this problem for their products with the material mentioned above. Also tried to remove all the drivers and installation only AMD (not a good idea... no drivers of Intel HD nothing worked - well, since only this integrated gpu was his work so far).

Oh almost forgot... the BIOS preinstalled is somehow a newer version than that offered on the section driver for hp 4540 s:

    BIOS version: 68IRR worm. F.02, 27.07.2012

    SMBIOS: 2.7

So useful I can provide screenshots. (Side-Note: Notebook was released as this month, I guess).

Thanks for any help/advice in advance.

    Maybe useful references:

    http://www.manualowl.com/m/Hewlett-Packard/ProBook-4540s/manual/277780?page=39

    (only page 39)

    Probably useless Info:
Tested the system also with 3d-mark-11 > preset he advances to 'High Performance' (in the catalyst) I was surprised how the test is run (results looked like 10-20-times "less" than the average same gpu (7650M) < also it was the first time I saw a program used the discreet gpu.)

    > "Message:"... the graphics driver was not accepted. I can assure you that.

What also bothers me is the fact that some hardware probably 4000HD Intel is really buring stable around 122-130 ° C (even if the laptop is not hot at all - maybe that the sensors are nuts...)

    Switching problem SOLVED!

Because it works battery with the graphics mode I again probably energy options that can interfere - checked all and found one that blocked the graphics of switching:

    > Click on the stack > energy Options (for the regime) > improved energy options > check all entries there are 3 that may conflict with the power:

    > Set the switchable dynamic graphics for battery and ac automatic
    > Set the gpu power plan intel for performance max ac (or both - if you want to)
    > Set the ATI Powerplay - Options for optimal performance / max

! Also check that you have set the application/game to HIGH Performance in your
Catalyst Control Center (+ do not turn off the Power Play Option in Catalyst Control Center)

(+ do not forget after passage of balanced high-power or energy saving these entries must be defined as well)

    ↑ graphic will pass!

! Rest, the computer will always be bluescreen then (maybe this can also be solved by playing with the Options of energy.

! Also remember that applications/games will still show that you can select the HD 4000 only, but will switch discrete gpu (7650M HD). More FPS + better graphics that will prove also.

  • Switchable Graphics (AMD Radeon HD 7670) problem in Hp Pavilion g6 2305tx-windows 8.1

    Hello

I would like to draw your kind attension to this serious problem, which I do face with AMD Mobility Radeon HD7670 driver for windows 8.1

I use Hp pavilion 2305tx g6 that has double graphics. I bought it 6 months ago and it cost about 60 grand in Bangladesh.

I was using Windows 7 and everything was fine. I could play every game I want, but after upgrade to 8.1 window, I am facing this switchable graphics problem. Device manager shows that driver was installed correctly but when I go to high performance for any game, it (game) is not responding but game can start without any problem in IE graphics Intel HD 4000 I cannot use my dedicated graphics card which I bought this laptop!

Here too, no driver to blueooth. Specifically the driver Ralink RT 3290 Bluetooth. I found the driver for this hardware, but not suitable for windows 8.1. Okey BT is not a big problem, but what about the graphics driver? What is Hp? sleep? Where the drivers updated for Windows 8.1? How long I have to wait? As I brought it BDT 60 grand I have right to ask for updated driver and I want to that they as soon as POSSIBLE.

Again, I chart AMD Radeon HD 7670 in my laptop and driver is correctly installed, but every time I spend my graphics to high performance I cann't play any game. It's because I'm not have good drivers for Windows 64-bit os 8.1.

I've been looking for this driver for months, but I don't get a updated driver for AMD mobility radeon 7670.

Please, I beg you! publish drivers for windows 8.1 updated 64-bit os.

The problem is resolved. It took 6 months but in the end I finally thought to her

    Follow the steps precisely

    1. open this Pc or workstation then go to uninstall or change a program

2 appears in the list, you can see graphics driver Intel & AMD Catalyst install manager. You must uninstall both in express mode so that no other previous parameter no longer exists.

    3. Firstly, uninstall the Intel Graphics driver. If you are asked for a restart of the pc to go for it.

    4. that the list appears, you can see AMD Catalyst install manager, right click and uninstall in express mode. Uninstall all components of AMD. Restart your PC because you will be asked.

    5. go on this Pc or my PC and then drive C. open Program Files and Program Files (x 86) the two of them, if you use the 64-bit operating system. In the search box write AMD and you find some removal files remaining them all.

    6. now your PC is free of previous records and other files. Although the right, click on sign Windows and Device Manager. You'll see graphic cards and uninstall both. This step is not necessary, but just to be sure that your PC has not previously installed drivers.

    7. open your browser and download the latest graphics driver for your PC Intel. My driver was Win64_153322. Install it. If you install it correctly you're at half way through. Restart your PC, if she needs.

8 go to the AMD web site and download the latest version of the driver. To avoid the complexity best option is to download Autodetect. Because he will choose the best suitable driver for your system. The file name is amddriverdownloader.

    9. open the amddriverdownloader file and download the driver. Download will end and it will automatically start the installation. Install it in express mode. Restart your PC because you will be asked to do.

    10. I hope your driver problems will be solved. To check it out go to Device Manager and see if the drivers are installed properly. Turn on the CCC and try to play a game of High Performance. You will see that the problem is solved.

Here's how I solved my problem of graphics from AMD. I've been suffering since I installed Windows 8.1 right after being released and today 15 Jun 14, I solved the problem. I can play any game in now high performance.

If you think that my opinion is useful to you, please share it.
