  Welcome to the forums.  Lets see if we can help you with the problem of error code that you are experiencing.

  Second thing, I need, it's the operating system that came on this computer.  I know that you will not be able to get on the computer to find this info so even if you remember, if it's Windows 7 or Windows 8 would be a great help.

  You can try to do a restore of the system on the system, follow these steps

  -At startup press the 'ESC' button until the menu.

  -Then you wil press the F11 key to start a recovery of the system.

  As long as your hard drive is stable and has a recovery partition it should load you up in a full recovery.

  The downside is all your data will be lost on the laptop unless you have already saved your information.

  OK, so I was watching a movie and the screen bit messed up for a second and then the screen went black.   I know I'm forgetting something in this whole procedure, but I have no idea at the moment what it could be.
