Original Window Vista Software DVD/CD does not

I lost the password of 'admin' as the computer was hanged because of the virus. Now, I tried to re - install Windows vista, but resulted in a failure because the CD/DVD is not responding to reboot or reinstall. Also this CD/DVD does not on other computers as well.

Will be Microsoft / authorized merchant will replace the CD/DVD?

will be the relocation of the window with a pirated CD, but using my original software key work?

What should I do to reinstall the window

It is not recommended to use pirated DVDs Vista.

Borrow a play; read the information below.

http://support.Microsoft.com/default.aspx/KB/326246

'How to replace Microsoft software or hardware, order service packs and upgrades, and replace product manuals'

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Or borrow a good Microsoft Vista DVD (not Dell, HP, Acer, recovery disk/s etc).
A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
The product key determines which version of Vista is installed.
There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.
If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):
At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu
Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
    so, I'm running vista 64 bit basic, I want to do a fresh install,
    but my drive is very early (noservice packs ect) can I download of ms a basic family of complete up-to-date vista 64-bit with sp2 with my cd key? or should I shut up and make from my cd and cope? If I do a reinstall should I reinstall all my programs as well?
    Hello yaleblor,
    You can download the full SP2 for Vista from here: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=16468
    Save the file to a CD/DVD or USB key.
    Once you have the service pack downloaded file, you can use your current Vista CD to install a fresh copy of Windows Vista on your C: drive. Once you have installed Vista you can install service pack 2 directly from the CD/DVD or USB you originally stored it on. All you then need to do is to run the Windows updates to update your system completely.
    You can find out how to do a clean install by looking at this link from my Web site: http://vistasupport.mvps.org/install_windows_vista.htm
    After you install Windows Vista, you will need to re - install all your programs, so make sure that you have all the programs by hand before starting to consider reinstalling Windows.
    I suggest you to do a scan of the SFC. File system (CFS) Auditor verifies that all Windows 7 system files are where they should be as they are by default and not corrupted, changed or damaged.
    c. in the type in the following command prompt window and press ENTER:
  • Windows Vista Basic, 32 bit, does not start up-will start in safe mode
    My computer fails to start. This problem came about 2 weeks ago when I rebooted after an update for McAfee Total protection requiring a reboot. But I don't know if that is why the computer not boot not correctly.
    After a lot of testing to the Startup Repair and shut down the pc and start it again, it starts to open a session for users. But after that I restarted again in this State, the problem persists.
    There is no error codes or messages, it just does not start. There is no virus infection (I hope). While the pc is booting, I also connected to Admin and checked if there were any problems found. But no other problem than a problem with Teredo Tunneling Pseudo - Interface. I solved this problem.
    So after all these checks, I restarted again, and it will not start again.
    It starts in Mode safe with no problems, and I have restored the pc a couple of times, but no use.
    Y at - it a fix for this?
    Any help will be very appreciated!
    Thank you
    Hello RubeenaY.
    After looking on this thread. the most remarkable thing I've seen, is that we are able to boot mode safe without problem. Typically, this means that we cannot start because a driver, service, or application takes over at startup which prevents our normal operation.
    I recommend you to perform a clean boot, as they did in the previous post.
    More information on Boots own is located at the following link:
    Let us know how it works.
  • Suddenly blocked on my home Windows Vista login screen. Does not recognize my password.
    I have Windows Vista and last night, while "standby mode", my laptop started a search of self-checking on the MS Dos operating system disk.  When I went to use my laptop, I interrupted the search and then asked if I wanted to take.  Have no real choice to exit the screen MS-DOS - other than to say Yes (because I'm not a techie) I decided to resume.  The search is over and my login screen comes on then.  At this point, I typed my password and now it does not recognise my password!
  • I have windows vista but CD Key does not work so that was ok until now
    The President complied,
    I have the authentic drive of Microsoft Windows Vista, but now the product key does not work as it was working before and I use it for the past two years. Mr President, I am facing a very big problem my windows stops automatically after 30 days, please fix this.
    Hello ElumBuneri,
    As you stipulate that Windows stops working within 30 days, I'll assume that you have been unable to activate your copy of Windows. You receive the error message probably is "key to product already in use"? If this is the case, a simple phone call will solve the problem.
  • Reinstall the original windows vista software.
    If I reinstall my original installation cd in my laptop (dell) can I even support? I do this reinstall because I want a clean install to clean my hardrive.
    Thank you and more power.
    Arnel
    The same support that? Dell is compatible with your system according to the warranty and if everything you do is a clean install on the recovery disc from Dell or Installatiion disc that came with the machine, then you will be fine - but it will not set the clock on your guarantee - the remaining time and support options, you bought will remain the same.  You may need to manually enable the facility again, but if you follow the instructions until you get a man, you should be fine.  Make SURE, you have your product key before doing this.  If this isn't the case, we can still possibly get it using special software (asuming it is the same product key supplied with the amd drive system and not some type of upgrade) but had to do it before you re-install or it will be lost.  Let me know if it is a question.
    If you hear here, of course we will still support you (although if you have problems with the disc of recovery or recovery or the OEM Installation Disk Partition then do not deal with them on all these issues - but that has not changed - it has always been like that).
    If you want to tell someone else, then you will need to explain better.
    In my view, a re-installation is a radical option just to clean your hard drive, but it's your decision to make.  I'd do it if I had no other alternative.
    I hope this helps.
