  I recently purchased the Blackberry Torch; the numbers were transferred over my old Blackberry Pearl phone.

  OK, sounds similar to something that happened to me last week, I tried to call a number instead.

  Look at your call history, by accessing your Messages folder > press Menu > folders > phone call logs and you will need find and remove all previous attempts to call this number.

  Also, in the same place, watch sending SMS and delete all previous attempts of SMS.

  Your device "to remember" and use these previous calls to that number as a story of several parameters and if you remove all the people, I would then do a full restart on the device, in this case > with smart BlackBerry poweredphone, remove the battery for a minute and then reinsert the battery to restart.   I have a Blackberry 8100 Italian who was sold as a handset (Italian mobile operator) of TIM.  I intend to visit the Ireland and wanted to use my BB while there, but when I put a Vodafone sim in it it tells me "invalid sim card".  So I called TIM and asked them to unlock the phone for me.  They told me today (a week after the sending of copies of documents and other things) that the phone is unlocked and on their system is displayed as unlocked.  I also tried a pay site / to / unlock that unlock BlackBerry but they told me that my code was unknown, and that they couldn't open it for me.

  Went to sync my Blackberry 8100 last night when I got the popup saying that there was an update for my Blackberry to V4.5. My total involvement with the process had to press the button "next".

  I went to check on dinner, and when I got home there was a message saying "unable to reconnect to the phone". It seems to have erased my phone firmware and it now thinks it's a teapot!

  I am on Telstra and spoke to them this morning. They said that I have to send it to the 'factory' to fix.

  Anyone knows if I can reload the operating system through my PC or I have to go through the Telstra dealing with strings!

  Thanks BB, but I ended up just setting up my phone after I had to have the EXACT of the Telstra software version, which, incidentally, have absolutely no idea of what they are about everything!

  Also, there is a litlle witch hunt because you have to uncheck the selection to save the data on the phone, or you can not connect (doh!).

  In any case everything works and I am now on 4.5, find a few differences that I don't think I'd like.

  You try to use your Blackberry as a modem? In other words - you are trying to access the internet via your Blackberry "BOLD"?

  If so, it's actually faily simple:

  (1) make sure that you have Blackberry Desktop Manager installed. Launch Desktop Manager, and then connect your blackberry via USB.

  2) go to: Control Panel > network and sharing Center

  (3) on the left side, click "set up a connection or network.

  4) click on "configure a dial-up connection."

  (5) click on Modem Standard (it's your "BOLD")

  (6) now this next part depends on your service provider.

  For Rogers, is the phone number: * 99 #.

  The username and password field is empty.

  (7) then click on connect, and it should connect and configure an internet connection through your blackberry.

  but there's barely any theme for 8900 model. Is it possible to install the theme for 8800 and using it on my 8900? I'm looking for a theme that can accommodate a few extra icons on my homescreen.

  The program for creating themes, Plazmic CDK (Content Developer Kit), has not yet been updated to version 4.7. Their most recent album was 4.6 so far, so the "BOLD" theme builders or developers will be impossible to create themes for the 8900 or storm.

  And to answer your question, no, you can't install a theme 8800 8900 device because the screen resolution is different.   I guess that the torch from which you changed was running OS 6.  Your new phone is running OS 7.  Just like when Windows comes out with a new version for PC, software developers scramble to get their applications compatible with the new version.  7 OS on phones BlackBerry is very different than the OS 6 for developers must update for her, too.  Apparently, some have not as of yet.  The only thing you can do is to write to each individually and inquire about the timetable for the release of their updated versions.

• Ringtone to PC for Storm Crackberry blackBerry Smartphones

  I got my Storm 9530 for two days. I went to crackberry and downloaded several rings. I downloaded the BlackBerry Desktop software. I saw no passage cleared for transfer my ringtones to (a) my pc at (b) my Storm.

  I connect with the USB cable and it recognizes and syncs and updtes, etc.. Is there a place on my PC I have to save my ringtones to them would transfer during the storm? I am running XP and it is not recognizing the storm as a device with folders or avenues to drop and drag anything from A to B.

  This may seem a matter of repair, but I have found no clear answers in everything, that I was given.

  Hi, quick question.

  I just went to a Telus authorized dealer to get a wall charger so I can have a second charger for my Curve 9360. When I got home, I noticed that the little written on the packaging says that it is for the storm 9530.

  The connection is part of my phone, but they put the sticker "guaranteed no if removed" during the section of the magazine that says what is the output of the charger. Does anyone know if the 9530 charger is compatible with the 9360?
