  When executing our application forms in IE7, it crashes when closing the browser window.
  The same request has no problem when running in IE6.
  Customers have Windows XP. We use the webforms 10.1.2.2 and Jinitiator 1.3.1.28, which is certified against IE7 (see http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/forms/htdocs/10gR2/clientsod_forms10gR2.html).

  Registry keys have similar permissions to how NTFS permissions behave. The data values do not have permissions. Right click on the name of the key (looks like a folder & is on the left in regedit) & go to permissions. It is very important to do this step for users who have restricted permissions on Vista/XP/Citrix systems. If users have user with power or better, you can skip this step. They will not always plant without this parameter.

  I could correct this problem. I went into the properties of the Application-> Security-> Session Timeout and entered the Session idle time in the text field instead of depend on the default values of the Skillbuilder Session Timeout of the plug-in.

  I'm working on forms 11g (11.1.4) on windows, I saw when user exit (directly close the browser) does not the good functioning of the application it is session show an active session of forms in the FMW and also the database session are also active.

  The answer to the first question, is that you can't do that. The problem is that you cannot control the behavior of the browser when you use the tab close (x) or close (x) browser.   Fixed problem, I tried to make a link to a Web page of 'inner' (in my server) and it works somehow, maybe not the 'real' answer because for me, I need a 'exetriors' links and I can't add all the site I need my server (I think that it is not legal) so here's what I did.

  I created an HTML page that redirect directly to the external link.

  for example if I need to open facebook I will create a button that opens a page named 'facebook' in my server, then this page will redirect you automatically to facebook, like this:

  Back up your data, click hereand upgrade to Mac OS X 10.6. This will give you more options, but you still probably will not be able to use Safari with many sites.
